Yes!
Yes-It's true.
I hired a gardener to
help me with this
blasted front yard.
I told the hired help
that I would pick them
up at 8:30 and to wear
clothes suitable for
digging and dirty work.
Here is what
the gardener wore.
You see this outfit often
because it is her
FAVORITE.
She said she was really tired
cuz she had worked all morning.
She had to do the dishes
(put her bowl in the sink)
and start the laundy
(put her dirty clothes in the hamper)
and clean everything up...
uh-huh
To keep her little hands
from getting dirty
she wore these.
She has her own hoe
which often ended up here.
So that she could do this...
on a tricycle that may
or may not be a tad too small.
Then...She went with me to
Home Depot
and smelled all the flowers.
She picked these out herself
because she thought her
sisters would like them best.
You remember I said
I HIRED a gardener?
Well, friends,
here's where the payday
started....
A child's vanilla milk steamer..
Of course I had to be
dragged there because it
was Starbucks.
Then a salad on the bench...
And dinner divine...
After dinner there was
another small payoff.
Now, are you wondering
if we got any gardening done?
Well, folks,
you will just have to come
back again, won't you?
You won't be disappointed...
because it is going to
include a bicycle and spray paint.
And, NO, I am NOT
going to be pedaling
my butt all over town,
but thanks for asking!

And just what are you doing awake at this hour Missy?? LOL
What a cute outfit and a perfect pose. lol
And you got 'butt' in there before you finished. LOL
I shouldn't be awake at this time either, I know I know. I was trying to think of what to post tonight.
And I was in a friend's chat room listening to a Seventh Day Adventist preacher. It was interesting. I am not a member of that church.
Anyway, have a good weekend my friend. :)
Take care, Janet W
Oh and we had KFC for dinner today too. YUMMMM
No M&M's :( too bad. But I have peppermint chews. Those are yummy too. :)
See ya, Janet
I like her gardening outfit!
Did you spray paint that tricycle and put it in your garden bed, Diana? : ) I'm looking forward to seeing what you and your gardner did. It looks like you ate well anyway!
thats perfect gardening attire!
I am doing yard work today but I don't look that cute! But if you're offering KFC, I will come all the way to your house to help! It is my favorite fast food and all of the KFC's in our area have closed. How sad I am! Each Mother's Day we would get a big bucket and head to the play ground with all the kids.
Change those m&m's to Peanut m&m's or Reese's Pieces and you have a fantastic meal :) I'm on my way!
Your hired help is certainly a cutie pie. I can see why it's hard to get anything done. Yesterday's adventures looked awfully fun. Can't wait to see what's up with that pink paint!
Oh boy! I would gladly be your gardener for all that yumminess too! LOL
Hmmmmm.... did she persuede you to go to Starbucks or did you persuede her?
And either way - she looks like she's well worth the investment!
Awe, come on, you are really pedaling your butt all over town, so quit saying you aren't.
Sounds like a wonderful day.
A girl has to always look her best. Well just in case. Thanks for the laughs and the love. Cheers SpecialK XoXo
Hi Diana... your little gardener is so sweet!.. and of course, one must be dressed all in pink when gardening, what else!... the flowers look so pretty and how sweet she picked out her sisters favorites!... why AREN'T you going to be pedaling your butt all over town, hmmm???... (if it's going to be a PINK bike I would be!)... xoxo Julie Marie
She is just adorable and I can tell she's a huge help in the garden. LOL That looks like a weekend with my grandchildren that is always topped off with a trip to an Italian restaurant or a Cracker Barrel courtesy of Papa.

I can't think of a better way to spend a day, Diana! Such beautiful memories you are creating! You naughty girl, now I want mashed potatoes and gravy.
shes so cute! I can't wait to see what you two girls did with the front yard!:O)
Cutest gardner I've seen yet! When i saw the title, i thought "she's crazy! her yard is so pretty". lol...got us good:)
She is so adorable, I can just imagine all the fun. Can't wait to see the yard. Hugs, Marty
If you have to work in the garden then you might as well look cute! And what a cutie! I bet you looked just as adorable!
Oh how sweet..I just love your post!! Making "sweet" memories!!
Blessings,
Gert
Ha ha ha ha ha!! I've got a couple of those!!
My real gardener is coming today!! Finally getting my front yard done!
My old bicycle is going to be red for the birds to perch on!
Talk later!

Donna
Someone took a Starbucks and spray paint detour on the way to the garden!
Similar road for me this morn' Starbucks, white spray paint and some liquid nails!
Happy Weekend, Sweet D!

It's hard to find good help these days but you did good! I can't wait to see the progress you gals made! If I had known you were including lunch, dinner, coffee and M&M's, I would have been there in a heartbeat!
Happy Weekend!
XO,
Jane
You would have to look far and wide to find a gardener's helper as cute as this one - and good company, as well.:-) My husband's great niece was a good helper at one point during a rare visit.
Ill be looking for you around town!:-)
Will we never learn? Hiring family as workers never works for me...especially the short people in my family.
Have fun with that pink paint, dearie.
Blove ya.
xxoo
Hey, Diana, what an adorable gardener you have. Thanks for coming by & leaving such fun comments, I love hearing from all of you. So nice to meet you in blogland.
She looks like she's channeling Betty Boop in the first picture :)
Diana, I think Sweetcheeks is thinking, just cause I work like a dog doesn't mean I have to looked like one.:):) Putting her dish in the sink , her clothes in the hamper...mmmm, Ted Bear thinks just like her. You girls kill me going to starbucks :):) love it. Smiles, xoxo, Susie
For future gardening sessions, you may want to borrow Amish Girl. She gets 'er done but in a much less stylish fashion! What a great day for you both! That child must just adore you. ~ Maureen
Diana: If you and your gardner put your heads together, I don't even waht (I know it's misspelled, but I think I'm starting to talk like Sweet Cheeks!) to know what you will come up with. Yes, I do, can't wait..Happy Weekend..Judy
Diana , your little gardner is so cute!! It looks like she enjoyed the ice cream!
I imagine most gardeners would be very happy with all those goodies!
Cute post!

I bet you are going to paint the bike pink and put flowers in a basket hanging off the bike:) I'm sure your gardner picked the prettiest flowers there, my two girls are in Ohio at a indoor water park for Sam's birthday. I can't wait to see them and hear about all the fun they had!
How can you go wrong when your gardener wears pink and has a sense of style.
Have I ever told you how much I adore your posts? This one had me chuckling all the way through. Isn't she the most adorable little girl? I love her smile. I will be back to see the garden, and may I have an m&m please?
Karen
Well, that is the cutest gardner I've ever met, Diana! Will you please send her my way when you're done? You truly are a wonderful Nana! I can't wait to see how you incorporated the bike! :)
That is the best hired help ever! What a cutie pie! Paint is always fun to have around and I do believe that it'll be a great project! Can't wait for it to be revealed!
She really knows how to dress for work! Grandma is instilling a great work ethic because as we all know, you need coffee first, then food before you can work. She's adorable.
Well, I'm sure she's the best dressed gardener in town! And, she knows all the best restaurants in town too. I bet you all had a wonderful time with lots of laughs. Hmm, are you painting the tricycle? Looking forward to hearing the scoop.
PS. I thought of you today when I stopped at Starbucks for my afternoon treat.XO
Well, you and the help may not have gotten much done, but what fun you had! I'll take a work day like that anytime!
Oh...sure, Diana. We all KNOW that you're the crazy broad on the bike painting graffiti all over town. We recognize your work, girl.....
lolol!
You made me laugh with another fun post, my sweetly crazy friend! Oh how I adore you!
xoxo laurie
she is sooo cute!
and thank you so much for helping me with my blog!!
XO
Linda
Oh my gosh what a fun day! So nice to have a companion to help pick out the flowers. Happy Sunday!
She is a doll! By the way, I would be interested in your gardener position!!!!! (love M&M's!)
hahhaaa...there is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD any better than having a great day with a grand or two or three or.........
xoxo
Hi Diana, Your gardener is such a sweetie pie. She was dressed so cute and I loved the gloves to protect her hands. I have enjoyed reading your blog tonight for a little me time before I head to bed. I enjoy the chuckles with Sweet cheeks. My grandson asked why we came to his house and after I told him, He hollered mom, your parents are here. He is a character. Have a great weekend. Your Missouri Friend.
Ha-ha, I think that gardener needs to be paying you for all of your services. She may not be a hard worker, but she sure is a cutie!
Hugs,
Jann
Grief!! I can't stop laughing. You two are a pair..you REALLY are! Ahhhh that Sweet Cheeks! Nope..still giggling here! :):)
HUGS to both of you!
Mona
What a cutie patootie! And I'm looking forward to seeing that project!
Did you make a pink bicycle planter for your garden?
I wish I looked that stylish in the garden. Husband saw me out there in the pouring rain on Friday and very kindly told me I looked like Stig of the Dump!
You girls are so much fun together. When ya'll get together it's always good humor.
You two really work hard. No wonder we didn't see any results from the "Gardening".
and you said that you thought it would involve a hose.....!!??? Joan
You always get the cutest help!!
Well you have the cutest gardener in town Diana. What a hard little worker she is. I will work for starbucks too you know!
