RIP DEBBY RAY-MY BLOGGING FRIEND

I am sorry to share this sad news.

A fellow blogger sent me a notice

that she had passed away.

I am sure that many of you

knew and loved

Debby Ray.
She was always been a
delightful blogger and an even more
DELIGHTFUL PERSON.

You might know her by her blog
As many of you know,
she was struggling with some health issues.
In the midst of her health issues,
they sold their home,
bought a lot close to family,
moved into an RV and were
building a new home.

Debby Ray had asked me to
“I will be taking a break from blogging for a while and am not sure at this point when I will be able to return. I have no idea how to even begin to write a blog post and there are still so many unknowns ...all of the details are not really important at this time. I have been diagnosed with cancer of the liver bile duct... most of you know I have been fighting this for quite some time. Through the years we have brought our many prayer requests to each other and I have felt yours and have been so grateful for them.
So after 13 days in NC, it looks like I will be able to get out for Mother’s Day. I will be returning to TN the first of the week to get a treatment plan in action at Vanderbilt. Thank you for your prayers! I hope to post updates as often as I am able. Much love to all!”
Debby

Debby was such a dear heart-
please pray for her family and all they going through.
Life is uncertain enough during these times
and then to lose someone you love
is unbearable.

Thank you all so much!
As always, if you don't pray,
please wing healing thoughts and well-wishes
her family's way.

What a sad loss for everyone that knew her....

Edited to add this note from
Pamela Steiner:
We were all saddened to hear of Debby's homegoing. But I do want the readers to know that she DID get to move into her new house that they were building. They were able to move in for Thanksgiving and were there for Christmas too. She had posted a few pictures on Facebook at the time, and everything was so very pretty and she was SO happy. She also got to see snow on their property from her new house. She was very happy to be there, but not nearly as happy as she is now in her heavenly mansion! I know her family welcomes your prayers.

RIP TED! PLEASE PRAY FOR SUSIE @ SHEJUNKS

Susie/SheJunks called me this morning

and asked me to share the news of

Ted's death.

Here is a picture of them

as they were facing things head-on

I was lucky enough to meet Susie in person.

She lived a few miles away from my daughter, Mimi,

when Mimi lived in Indiana.

Susie is just as sweet in person

as she seems on her blog.

The next time I saw her was in a hospital room

where Ted was being treated for cancer.

My husband,

having finished his own cancer treatment,

met with Ted and Susie, too,

and we shared life stories.

As a blogger we share happy, fun things but

we also share in the hurts and sorrows

of our fellow bloggers.

Please pray for Susie and her family

as they deal with the loss of

TEDDY BEAR.

He was a wonderful man and will be dearly missed.

As always, if you are not a pray-er, please

send good wishes and healing thoughts

Susie's way.

She will be back to blogging when she feels she can.

Love to all of you from Susie AND me!

LIFE & LINDA'S (Fairy Blog Mother) MOM HAS PASSED AWAY

I guess there is no easy way
to say that someone has
passed away, is there?

Most of you in Blogland know
(also known as My Fairy Blog Mother).
She is such a giving person and has
helped so many over the years
solve blog issues.

Many of you know that
Linda's mom lived with her
for quite a while.
She decided a couple of years ago
to move several hours away
and live closer to her son.
This is the only picture I could
find of her on Linda's blog.
Beautiful lady, wasn't she?

Sadly, her health was already compromised
and she declined in these last
few weeks/months
after her move.

Linda contacted me yesterday to
let me know that her
Mom had passed away.

Please send up a prayer for
Linda & her family.
If you are not a 'pray-er',
please send well wishes and
healing thoughts her way.

Thank you.
I will be around again soon to
do a wrap up on the

Thanks to each and every one of you
that visit here.
You are all special to me!

REMEMBERING MY BROTHER -SMILING THROUGH THE HEARTACHE

Six years  ago this week
my brother, Charlie,
walked into the hospital ER
because he wasn't feeling well.

On February 5th,  2013,
4:04 pm he left the hospital.
He didn't leave the way we hoped,
nor the way we expected.
He went to a different home
than the one he left that last Tuesday.

He developed a very rare cancer
that affects less than 1% of
cancer patients.  It is fast moving
and there is less than a 1% chance
of survival.

I  struggled trying to figure
out why this has happened.
Then a peaceful thought came to me.
Our little granddaughter,
Anna Bella,  who would be THIRTEEN now,
needed an Uncle
to keep her company.
A great-uncle.
Great in more ways than one.

Wasn't he a cute little boy?
We knew that last morning that his
time to be with us was to be
short-lived.
They put him on a morphine drip
and he gently drifted away
without pain.

What you don't know about
my brother is that he was a
joker-He loved to make
people laugh.
He was the "smiliest" person
I ever knew and he
dearly loved a good joke.

You know, even in moments of
blinding pain there are
sparks of laughter,
After we said our good-byes and
gave him permission to go "home",
we were all sobbing.

I told him: "You are so, so loved here
and Mom & Dad
and our grandparents and
uncles and cousins and family
are all waiting for you-waiting to
welcome you to Heaven".

My sister-in-law added...
"And Snow White".
What? I asked.
Maybe you read a different
Bible than I do cuz I don't
think Snow White is in Heaven.

Everyone in the room erupted
in laughter.
In the burst of laughter
my brother, Charlie,
took his last breath of
life on this Earth.
We knew then that he
was free to go because
in spite of our sadness
there was one last smile for him.

I'm betting that right now,
up in Heaven,
he is setting our little Anna Bella
up to some mischief
just like  I my father used to
set him up.

He passed so-so peacefully,
with nary a complaint.
You did good, Charlie,
very, very good.

Now I feel like I have a
GUARDIAN ANGEL
that watches over me.

As a family, we have moved on,
walking different paths than the ones
we were on and that is okay.
Happy memories keep us company
on those days when we mourn
our earthly loss.

Take a moment today to
tell someone you love them.
If there are rifts in your family,
mend them while you have time
for tomorrow is never guaranteed
and there are no "do-overs"
when death comes to visit.

Have a wonderful, blessed day.
I hope YOU have a
GUARDIAN ANGEL
in your life!

ps.  Snow White?  She was Charlie's cat.

RIP IN MY DEAR OLD "BEAR"

A wonderful man
has left this earthly realm.
I am sure that by now
he is singing with the angels....
and what a voice he had.

Barry Christensen
died as he lived,
peacefully and with joy in his heart.
(shown here with his beatutiful daughter, Beckie)
While heaven is richer,
our world is poorer.

He was connected to our family
on a deep level.
While we are glad he is beyond
all earthly pain and suffering,
our hearts are heavy with the loss.

I hope he knows somehow
how much joy he brought to
everyone with a voice that was
unequaled to any other I have
ever heard personally.

God speed, Barry!
Forgive the tears because I know
your mission
was to spread joy~

Rest In Peace- MONA DUFFY- BLOGGER AND FRIEND

Many of you probably knew
Mona Duffy.
She had a wonderful blog that
she kept up for several years.
She was a beautiful soul.
She had an interesting life and
some life struggles
like all of us do.

I am sad to say that she passed away
due to pancreatic cancer
early this morning.

I have not been blogging
the last few days so I missed
the post from her son, Danny.

You can read it here

God Speed, Mona.
You will be missed.
I have many long, lovely emails
from you that I cherish.
You were a very special lady
and I shall miss you dearly.

If you are so inclined,
please say a little prayer for
Mona's family---
or sent good, loving thoughts
their way.
Thanks!
