WHO'S YOUR DADDY? FUNNY ON FRIDAY/ AD NONSENSE

Jerry, being a bit naive,
never quite understood what
the guys were laughing and
talking about when
they said that Judy had been a
REAL WILDCAT
before she met Jerry.

He was happy when she agreed
to marry him after only two dates
 and even
happier when she gave
birth to their first son
seven months later.

There were lots of whispers
when their friends saw
the child for the first time,
but he ignored them.

However, even Jerry had to admit
the boy, Leo,  was a bit
unusual looking.

Have a FUN Friday!
You know I will!!!!

PRINCESS BRIGHT EYES TURNED THREE-

HOW is it possible
that or sweet little
ANNA IRELAND
(known here as BrightEyes)
is already THREE?

But - she is.
I posted these on Facebook
but for those of you that are
not on Facebook I am posting these here.

These are straight from my daughter's camera.
All I did was watermark the bottom of them.

Sitting-
I love the way the sunlight dappled through
and put the little 'teardrop' on her right cheek.
That's my girl!
Always smiling-

Sometimes "posing"

Loving the sunlight on her sweet face

Is it just me or do YOU see a halo
around this sweet angel?
(and maybe an angel behind her?)

Photo shoot is over and
OFF SHE GOES!
As our Ria used to say...
"An' the beauooiful princess runned away"

Hey---looks like you are losing
your skirt.
Better YOU than ME!
Have a beauoofil day!!

PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE

This will be short and sweet.
Thank you for all your prayers for

I got a text from her hubby
Monday morning.
He texted me three times
during the day.
Jill is in quite a bit of pain
but
she came through the surgery
and the doctor said
everything went fine.

Now - on to recovery.

I think she will be in the hospital
for a few days yet,
so if you want to leave her a message here
maybe she can read them
as she is recovering.

Many Many Thanks
to all of you for the
PRAYERS, GOOD WISHES
HEALING THOUGHTS.

I will be at the VA this morning
shoving the 'old boys' around!

Have a GREAT Tuesday!

PICK YOUR FAVORITE RESULTS--Who are YOU sitting with?

Well,  This is a LONG POST!
Holy Cow!
If I had known you were all going to come out
of the woodwork and
PLAY ALONG and VOTE
I would have run for
ELECTION!

The tables all got votes--
but there were a couple that filled up
so I have
RENTED A BANQUET HALL
for a couple of these tables.

This time I am actually going to
NAME NAMES
(isn't that a lame saying?)

Anyway,
IF your name
DOES NOT APPEAR ON YOUR BLOG ANYWHERE
I am using the name of your blog.
I figure if your name isn't there
it is for your reason
and you don't want it published
and I am not going to rat you out!

So--that being said:

THE BIG WINNER IS:
TABLE #4
SWEET GRASS
So....Visually
 EXPAND THIS TABLE
and think of it as banquet sized.
Here are the names of your meal mates.
No fighting over
who sits next to who either-please....
or is it whom sits next to whom.....

Lori, Sylvia, Kris, Sissie, Nancy, Ronda,
Cecilia, Lorrie, Karen, Lisa, Martha, Ellen,
Vee, Dianna, Carla, Amy, Laurie,
Kay, Nancy, Jan, Krishna,
Missy, Donna, Linda, Doreen &Pam.
We had a couple of people that want to
SWITCH TABLES
(in case they don't like the company?)
Patty, Wanda & Stephanie
aren't sure if they want to sit with
YOU ALL or join another table.

SECOND PLACE IS
TABLE #5
PEACHES & CREAM
You want to know who you are sitting with here?
Well, good ol' Susie is at your table
and joining her are:
Mildred, Judy, AnnMarie, Carla, Liz, Ellen,
Janet, Mary, Ann, Ckrut, & Ellie.
 Stephanie  and Jill have decided
they MIGHT join you
for half the meal.

THIRD PLACE
With ONE LESS VOTE than the above table is:
TABLE #1
AQUA & PINK
Your companions are:
Linda, Susan, Starting Over Accepting Changes, Nancy,Lynn,
Connie, Chubmama, Katie,
Tia, Lola & Donna.
Wanda has decided she MIGHT join you or she
MIGHT just sit at Table #4 with her
OTHER FRIENDS!

THE FOURTH MOST POPULAR TABLE
IS A TIE
TABLE # 3
PRETTY IN PINK
You are sitting with:
Sheri, Dazee, Spicing Up Idaho, Sandi DiDio, Sue, Pompom,
Karen, Racheld & Anonymous (hmmm...wearing a mask, maybe?)
Jill has decided she MIGHT LOWER herself to sit at your table
IF she doesn't stay at Table #5
with her REAL FRIENDS!

FIFTH PLACE TIED WITH ABOVE-
TABLE #2
PURPLE PLEASURE
I think those beautiful Jadeite plates got you!
Launna, Lisa, Louise, Cindy,
Carol, Beemie, Jettie,
Beach Gypsy, Julie  & you have an UNKNOWN guest!
Those are always fun because you never know
WHO might show up!
Could be Nicole Kidman?
Ya never know!

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST--
TABLE #7
NESTING EGGS
You will be most pleased to know
you are sitting with:
Ron, Brenda, Debra, Celeste, Rose, Adam, Vera,
Kathleen & Karen.
Now...Patty & Karen Ann
are trying to decide if they
LIKE YOU GUYS
well enough
to spend all their time at this table.
They are kind of fickle like that.
Please don't judge!

As for me...
Well, I will be sitting at each table for a bit.
I will eat the best thing at each table and
THEN I WILL LEAVE.
SO THERE!!!!

This was a lot of fun...
IF I missed anyone's name I am SO SORRY.
I went through twice to try and make sure
I had everyone down at the right table and didn't miss anyone.
You can call me out if I missed you!

So-what do you think?
Is this fun enough to do again?
Maybe not tables next time but places or something?

PS- I am gonna say this for whatever it is worth.
IF YOU DON'T
have your name on your blog anywhere,
please consider putting it on there in some form...
even if it is a nickname.
It is much easier to make a true 'connection'
when there is a name to associate with the blog.
Doesn't even really have to be your
REAL NAME..
(like Beemie-you know that is not Beemie's real name-right?
But you KNOW her by that)
I think even BOZO is acceptable....
for some of us
Those are just my personal thoughts...

And if you do leave an
Anonymous or Unknown comment
(which I don't mind at all)
consider just adding your name or even an initial
at the end of your comment.
That way I can feel more connected to you.

Hope you have a wonderful, wonderful week!!!

A PRAYER REQUEST FOR A STAY-AT-HOME MOM

I love it when people I know
ask me to post a
PRAYER REQUEST!

I have been following this sweet lady
and her family for quite a while.
She is just one of the sweetest people
I know!
This is JILL from
Isn't she pretty?

I took this picture off her sidebar
so it is not MY photography skills,
this time, folks!

Her blog is warm & welcoming
and full of family life.

Jill is having some pretty extensive
abdominal surgery
tomorrow-Monday.
She is a woman of faith
 but
even those of us that are full of faith
have times when we are scared---
when all those horror stories
we have heard about surgeries gone wrong
assault us.

Please pray for a successful surgery
and please pray for
PEACE OF MIND
for Jill.

To add to her anxiety,
her oldest daughter has been having
a lot of health issues and they
cannot nail down what is wrong.

AND
her husband has an injury that is going
to require surgery in the near future.
That is a LOT going on in one family, folks.

Isn't it true that when
IT RAINS IT POURS?

Please SHOWER THEM with
PRAYERS.
If you are not a PRAY-er,
please send up good thoughts
and  well wishes.

They do have one
GREAT BRIGHT SPOT
their sweet red-headed daughter,
KATHLEEN.
She fills their hearts with joy.
Thank all of you that
are such faithful and wonderful
followers.
My blog would be nothing
without all of you.
YOU are part of my BLESSINGS
and I have come to know
and love many of you
on a more personal level!

I will be back with the results
of the
in a day or so.

Still time to pick a place!

FUNNY ON FRIDAY--THE ACCOUNTANT

She was so sick and tired
of her mother nagging her...
Nag..
Nag..
Nag....
She did
NOT WANT TO
be a ballerina.
And, no amount of
dance classes or
Charm School
influence
could change her mind.
Her Dad had told her she
had the perfect aptitude
to be an Accountant..
because she was good with numbers
and they would teach her how to
BALANCE THE BOOKS.

She was so excited to be accepted
into business school.
 She proudly
walked into the front door,
just as you see her,
to sign up for
Accounting 101.

Happy Friday- Keep Smiling!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY----FUNNY ON FRIDAY/AD NONSENSE

Sure and there was a lot going on
at the
IRISH DAY FESTIVAL
being held downtown.

'Twas a fine day for the
folks that were Irish
and those that claimed
to be Irish.

Everyone knows that
there is magic surrounding
the Irish.

Flying cars are normal
as are bottles that spray a
FINE GREEN MIST
into the air.

Sure and the lads had a
whale of a time with the
canny Irish lasses
that waved
checkered flags for those
that wanted to race for
the Guinness beer.

Everyone had a great day
except for poor Dickie O'Connor.
He was the one that picked the
short straw and had to
strip naked and act as a
human ice holder.
Thanks be to God,
he had tattooed some
designs on to his upper thighs
years earlier.
People thought he was crazy
when he got tattooed like that-
but he smiled to himself
as he thought---
Who's crazy now?  Huh? Huh?
Still and all- that ice was cold
sitting in his lap that way.

Poor Dickie!
He said he is never attending another
IRISH FEST
in his life.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
TO YE!

I got home late yesterday and have
the grandgirls today.
Will share some pictures this coming week
and try to catch up with everyone.

FUNNY ON FRIDAY----FRENCH FRIED!!

Jacques Johnson
was beyond
embarrassment
when his
Grandmother dropped
him off in front
of his new friend, Chloe's house.

She was a lovely young girl that
had offered to tutor
Jacques.
It wasn't bad enough that
Gramma had chosen a
French name for him....
or that she
drove a bright
yellow, rusted-out,
beat up old
Renault
(made in France)
but when she
yelled..
"Make sure you practice
a lot of
Frenching with that
new frienda yoars"....
he liked to have died.

Gramma meant well
but with her
failing hearing she
had only heard part of
the conversation
when he told her
that he was going
to be practicing
the
French Horn
with his new tutor.

When he got home
he told his Mother
that he would be
walking to any further
tutoring lessons.

A LITTLE BIT 'O' IRISH AT MY HOUSE----

Do you ever wonder what
others see when they are
standing at their kitchen window?
Today,
as I was standing at my
kitchen window I looked
over and saw this....

and this

which are both part of this.
This window faces dead West
so it is always bright here.
If you peek through the
glass you will see the
girls' playhouse
in the background.
Closed now for the winter,
it will soon be open
for Spring business...
the business of dress-up
and make-believe.

But for the moment,
I am content to look at my
SHAMROCK PLANTS
because they remind me
of home and the Irish
heritage that came
from my father's side
of the family.

I am then inspired to bring
out the beautiful vase
that my daughter purchased while
she was in Ireland...
and the little
Irish music box..
Can it be a music box
if there is no box involved?
hmmmm..
Something to ponder~
Oh and this!!!!!.She's a beauty, isn't she?
Covered with shamrocks and
kissed by gold accents...A piece that makes me
smile every time I look at her.
Now, you tell me,
how is it that the FRENCH can
make such a beautifully inspired
Irish piece!

I apologize for the picture quality
and size.
I am having so much trouble
pulling pictures since I got this
new computer and I can't seem to
resize them using the normal methods
I have always used.
Sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't....kind of like me!
Anway--onward---
Sorry- I  know it is a tad out of focus-
Kind of like my eyes in the morning.

The bottom has an Irish greeting
for St. Patrick's Day.
Overall, it looks like this.
~Erin Go Bragh~
I am adding this after someone
commented they had to look it up
a while back.
You know THAT means
 someone that is
NOT IRISH
reads my blog!!
Whoo Hooo
Anyway-
Erin Go Bragh means
Ireland Forever
MyHero said he thinks it looks like a
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT

I told him THAT COULD BE arranged!

And YOU know what I mean by that!

MARCHING TOWARDS SPRING-

All Wintered Out!
I don't know about you but I thought
February would NEVER END.
Then March
ROARED IN LIKE A LION.
We had several inches of snow.
Snow that glitters like diamonds-
so bright and dazzling
that it would hurt your eyes.
Feathery soft,
white as an angel's wing.
coating every surface with
shimmery sequins.
As pretty as it is, however,
I am not a SNOW person.
No.I.Am.Not.
I am MARCHing towards Spring.
I am always  TIRED of winter!
Tired of snow!
Tired of cold!
Tired of the frozen tundra.
Give me snow for Christmas Eve
and Christmas Day and then
take it away----please----

I am MARCHing towards
St. Patrick's Day with my potted Shamrock...
the plant of  my father's mother
and her mother before her.
Other years found me
 MARCHing to the sink
 to wash the
Irish China that my girls gave me.
However,
As we are preparing to downsize,
I let the girls arm-wrestle over
which one of them would "inherit" the
IRISH CHINA
they had gifted to me a few years ago.
Before this morning is over
 I am  MARCHing myself
right over to
STARBUCKS...where I will
WALTZ IN
and order a latte.
A drink to warm my bones.
 While my heart
longs for Spring,
my body is stuck with a
Dreary Winter Day.

I was thinking (that's dangerous)
and I told MyHero I might order
him a nice little
LEPRECHAUN SUIT
for Saint Patrick's Day.
I'd been looking at costumes
 and I thought I
finally found the right one.
I was all set to order until I saw that it said-
COSTUME ONLY!
DARN!!!!

I am back home but will only
be here for a few days
before going to visit
my daughter and sweet grandkids.
Oh! Look!
One is dressed and waiting for me
on the steps already!
Have a wonderful Monday.

FUNNY ON FRIDAY-NO VEGETABLES IN MY FAMILY, PEAS

Connie's mother tried
to warn her the
night before the
wedding that once
she married into
the
Jolly Green Giant Family
 things would
be different ...
especially
once they had kids.
Connie's
Mother-in-law,
Grenella Sprout,
took right over
soon after the
first baby boy, Peter Pepper,
 was born.
In the Sprout family,
the third birthday marked
a 'coming of age' of sorts.

For Peter's third birthday
Grenella served
corn on the cob,
brussel sprouts,
green beans and
peas.
This delicious meal
was followed up by
the most
unusual cupcakes
Connie had ever seen.
After dinner,
Connie excused herself from
the festivities and
called her Mother,
sobbing softly,
to apologize for
not believing her
mother on
the day of her wedding.

Still traveling- be home soon.
Hope this gives you a Friday smile.
