I Hired A Gardener!

Yes!
Yes-It's true.
I hired a gardener to
help me with this
blasted front yard.

I told the hired help
that I would pick them
up at 8:30 and to wear
clothes suitable for
digging and dirty work.

Here is what
the gardener wore.
You see this outfit often
because it is her
FAVORITE.

She said she was really tired
cuz she had worked all morning.
She had to do the dishes
(put her bowl in the sink)
and start the laundy
(put her dirty clothes in the hamper)
and clean everything up...
uh-huh

To keep her little hands
from getting dirty
she wore these.
She has her own hoe
which often ended up here.
So that she could do this...
on a tricycle that may
or may not be a tad too small.
Then...She went with me to
Home Depot
and smelled all the flowers.
She picked these out herself
because she thought her
sisters would like them best.
You remember I said
I HIRED a gardener?
Well, friends,
here's where the payday
started....
A child's vanilla milk steamer..
Of course I had to be
dragged there because it
was Starbucks.
okay-I might have lied
about the dragging part-
Then a salad on the bench...
And dinner divine...
After dinner there was
another small payoff.
Now, are you wondering
if we got any gardening done?
Well, folks,
you will just have to come
back again, won't you?
You won't be disappointed...
because it is going to
include a bicycle and spray paint.

And, NO, I am NOT
going to be pedaling
my butt all over town,
but thanks for asking!

And just what are you doing awake at this hour Missy?? LOL

What a cute outfit and a perfect pose. lol

And you got 'butt' in there before you finished. LOL

I shouldn't be awake at this time either, I know I know. I was trying to think of what to post tonight.

And I was in a friend's chat room listening to a Seventh Day Adventist preacher. It was interesting. I am not a member of that church.

Anyway, have a good weekend my friend. :)

Take care, Janet W

Did you spray paint that tricycle and put it in your garden bed, Diana? : ) I'm looking forward to seeing what you and your gardner did. It looks like you ate well anyway!

I am doing yard work today but I don't look that cute! But if you're offering KFC, I will come all the way to your house to help! It is my favorite fast food and all of the KFC's in our area have closed. How sad I am! Each Mother's Day we would get a big bucket and head to the play ground with all the kids.

Change those m&m's to Peanut m&m's or Reese's Pieces and you have a fantastic meal :) I'm on my way!

Your hired help is certainly a cutie pie. I can see why it's hard to get anything done. Yesterday's adventures looked awfully fun. Can't wait to see what's up with that pink paint!

Awe, come on, you are really pedaling your butt all over town, so quit saying you aren't.

She is just adorable and I can tell she's a huge help in the garden. LOL That looks like a weekend with my grandchildren that is always topped off with a trip to an Italian restaurant or a Cracker Barrel courtesy of Papa.

You would have to look far and wide to find a gardener's helper as cute as this one - and good company, as well.:-) My husband's great niece was a good helper at one point during a rare visit.

Ill be looking for you around town!:-)

Will we never learn? Hiring family as workers never works for me...especially the short people in my family.
Have fun with that pink paint, dearie.

She really knows how to dress for work! Grandma is instilling a great work ethic because as we all know, you need coffee first, then food before you can work. She's adorable.

Blooming Rose Musings said...

Well, I'm sure she's the best dressed gardener in town! And, she knows all the best restaurants in town too. I bet you all had a wonderful time with lots of laughs. Hmm, are you painting the tricycle? Looking forward to hearing the scoop.
PS. I thought of you today when I stopped at Starbucks for my afternoon treat.XO

Hi Diana, Your gardener is such a sweetie pie. She was dressed so cute and I loved the gloves to protect her hands. I have enjoyed reading your blog tonight for a little me time before I head to bed. I enjoy the chuckles with Sweet cheeks. My grandson asked why we came to his house and after I told him, He hollered mom, your parents are here. He is a character. Have a great weekend. Your Missouri Friend.
