UPDATE ON LIZA AND MYSELF AND HUBBY

 FIRST OF ALL-

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT PRAYED

FOR SWEET LITTLE LIZA!

SHE CAME THROUGH THE SURGERY

AND IS DOING WELL.

THE SURGERY WAS A BIG UNDERTAKING

AND IT WILL TAKE HER A LONG TIME

TO RECOVER.

SHE IS IN GOOD SPIRITS AND DEALING

WITH THE CHANGES IN HER LIFE.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP HER

IN YOUR PRAYERS.

SEVERAL OF YOU HAVE REACHED OUT TO ME

TO SEE HOW I AM DOING.

THE TRUTH IS,

I HAVE HAD A RECURRENCE OF AN OLD

AUTO-IMMUNE ISSUE.

THE FIRST TIME I HAD THIS WAS IN 1993.

I WAS IN BED FOR ALMOST 6 MONTHS

UNABLE TO MOVE WITHOUT A LOT OF PAIN.

OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS I HAVE HAD

A FEW LITTLE 'BLIPS' BUT HAVE ALWAYS

GOT IT UNDER CONTROL BEFORE IT GOT TOO BAD.

NOT SO THIS TIME.

THE FIRST WEEK IN FEBRUARY IT HIT ME HARD-

IT STARTED IN MY RIGHT FOOT AND IT

SWELLED TO ALMOST DOUBLE ITS NORMAL SIZE.

I COULD NOT BEAR ANY WEIGHT ON IT

WITHOUT EXCRUCIATING PAIN.

I HAVE A WONDERFUL DOCTOR THAT  HAS DONE

HIS BEST TO HELP.

I HAVE BEEN ON ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES

AND STEROIDS SINCE THEN.

I THINK I AM TURNING THE CORNER BUT

STILL HAVING A HARD TIME WALKING

OR BENDING AND SLEEPING IS AN

ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TASK.

I AM NOT TELLING YOU THIS TO ASK FOR

SYMPATHY BUT AS A REASON I HAVE NOT

BEEN AROUND VISITING MUCH.

I WILL TELL YOU THAT I AM A LOT BETTER

CARETAKER

THAN I AM AT BEING THE CARETAKEREE...

YEP-NOT A REAL WORD BUT YOU GET IT.

I HOPE TO BE BACK TO MY USUAL SASSY SELF SOON.

YOU KNOW THEY CAN'T KEEP US OLD BROADS

DOWN FOR LONG.

SO-BEAR WITH ME AS I CONTINUE TO RECOVER.

SEVERAL OF YOU HAVE ALSO ASKED ABOUT

HUBBY'S TRIP TO MAYO.

WE WERE GIVEN SOME ANSWERS THAT HAVE HELPED

AND A SEMI-DIAGNOSIS.

THE NEUROLOGIST HERE AND AT MAYO SAID IT

IS ONE OF THE MOST COMPLEX CASES

THEY HAVE EVER SEEN AND HE FALLS INTO

SEVERAL (OR NONE) OF THE USUAL CATEGORIES.

I AM STILL HIS PRIMARY CARETAKER-

WHICH, LET ME TELL YOU, HAS BEEN FUN

WITH MY OWN HEALTH ISSUES.

(I MIGHT HAVE LIED ABOUT THE FUN PART).

HE IS IN BED ABOUT 80% OF THE TIME AND I

DON'T SEE THAT CHANGING MUCH.

SO--AS USUAL--

WE SLOG ALONG DAY BY DAY HERE.

THERE YOU HAVE IT-

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF NANA DIANA AND COMPANY.

IT'S TIMES LIKE THESE THAT I WISH I DRANK....LOL

INSTEAD I HAVE BECOME ADDICTED TO MEDICAL SHOWS

AND HAVE BEEN BINGE WATCHING THEM

SINCE EARLY FEBRUARY.

I THINK WITH WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

I COULD PROBABLY APPLY FOR A MEDICAL LICENSE

AND MOVE DIRECTLY INTO THE SURGICAL FIELD.

LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP YOU WITH

ANY OF YOUR MEDICAL NEEDS.

HAVE A WONDERFUL MARCH AND WISHING YOU AN EARLY

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

RIP STEVE KOSMOSKI- YOUR EARTHLY TRIAL IS OVER

 This afternoon

my dear brother-in-law,

Steve Kosmoski

passed peacefully

from this world to the next.

He is beyond all pain and sorrow

and, if you are a believer like me,

I believe he has entered a grand new world

called Heaven.

Steve is the oldest son in the middle,

John is the middle son, on the left,

Paul is the 'baby' on the right.

They are all 18 months apart.

That picture was taken just after John
was declared cancer free after his
third bout with cancer.

They also have an older sister
that lives in New York.
John and Steve were going out to see her
last Fall but never got to make the trip.

Please keep his wife, Carol,
in your prayers as she walks
the new path she finds herself on.
Widowhood is not easy.
She is going to miss her constant companion
and the love of her life.
Thank you all for all of your prayers
and well wishes and healing thoughts.
They are much appreciated and
I love you for taking the time to
visit here and leave your comments.

I will be taking a few days away
from blogging but will be back soon.

Love to all of you~

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR MY BROTHER-IN-LAW AND HIS WIFE AND ALSO MY SON-IN-LAW JASON.

My son-in-law, Jason,
is fighting the good fight
against brain cancer.
He has very aggressive chemo
which takes it toll.
He is a trooper and
and a fighter.
Please pray for him,
his wife (my daughter Mindy)
and his three children.
You can read the original post here.

My brother-in-law, Steve,
and his wife, Carol, are home
in Wisconsin now.

You can read the original post here
Please continue to send up
prayers, well-wishes and
healing thoughts for them
as he fights cancer that
has metastasized.
He has two grown sons and one
sweet grandchild, Ollie.

As many of you know,
my hubby has had three bouts of cancer.
We know the battle!
All prayers, well wishes and
healing thoughts accepted and welcomed.

UPDATE ON JASON'S BRAIN SURGERY- KEEP PRAYING~

I posted already

an update on

Facebook & Instagram

but I know not all of you are on those sites.

Jason's surgery was yesterday

and it went well.

Today he moved out of ICU to a

regular room and he should be

coming home this weekend.

We don't know what the road to recovery

will look like.

We don't know what follow up treatment

lies ahead of him yet.

What we DO know is that

God has Jason in the palm of his hand

and will pave the path

as he moves forward.

If you are a 'pray-er',

please pray.

If you don't pray,

please wing good thoughts

and healing thoughts his way

and enfold his family in those

thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to all of you that have reached out

with love and messages of hope

and encouragement.

PRAYER REQUEST(S) UPDATE AND THE PASSING OF A BLOGGER'S HUSBAND

Thank you for all the prayers
and well wishes for my friend,
Jettie.
You can read that post here.
They could not do the surgery
as planned.
To do so, they would have had
to take a portion of her leg bone.
Instead, they are going a different route.
They are trying a 24/7 IV antibiotic
for the next several weeks.
If this works, she will not
need surgery.
So, continue to keep her in your
thoughts and prayers.

Also,
Please continue to pray for
Connie's husband, Steve.
He is in the midst of
a very tough battle.
You can read that post here.

And, I have known about this
for quite a while,
but have not had the heart to post it.
It took me some time to
work through this-as I was
'with' Sharon/Sugar as
they walked this path.
Wild Bill passed well before Christmas.
You can read one of the requests here.
Please send prayers and good wishes
to Sugar.
They had packed up their whole lives
and moved south seeking
treatment that might be lifesaving.
Now she is away from family and friends.
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to all of you that are so faithful
in praying and/or sending
healing thoughts and wishes out.
You are
THE BEST!

Love to you-
Hope to be back with some
FUN STUFF
in a bit.
Got some
NEWS
for you!!!

PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE-GOOD NEWS AND ASKING FOR CONTINUED PRAYERS FOR ABBY AND THE TWINS!

Such wonderful news!
I will post it in
Katie's words.
All the glory goes to God as we got positive news today🙌 It has not spread and all margins are clear. This has been a time in our walk with the Lord that has forever changed us. I never completely trusted Him till now and this time we decided we would praise him even with bad news and uncertainty. I prayed for hours each day and God revealed himself in so many ways. I never felt closer to Him and I pray I never forget the peace and love He brought us both. This has made me appreciate the man I love more then ever. To see your husband more concerned for you then himself is noble. He woke up from surgery with tears coming down his face saying he surrendered as the nurse prayed with him. I know that not everyone’s story ends this way and many things make no sense especially when we lose those we love. I know that during this time heaven seemed like it could not come quick enough as this world carries pain but it’s not the way the story ends. To each person who sent us texts, prayed, made meals etc you made a huge difference and we thank you more then you’ll ever know. I raise a hallelujah🙌🙏

Thanks to all of you that prayed
OR
winged healing thoughts and wishes
their way.

This man has been saved for
a higher purpose-
raising his children
and loving his wife.

Don't forget to keep
Abby & her twin babies in your prayers
and thoughts.
You can read about that
HERE if you missed it.

Thank you so much!
It is always wonderful
to be able to post
GOOD NEWS!

Will be back in a day or so

RIP CURTIS CANNON-Prayer Request Follow Up

Good Morning!

I really HATE doing this
kind of post.
It is a follow up to a
by Curtis's wife, Sylvia

Curtis fought a good fight
but lost his battle
to health issues.
His healing was not to be
here on earth.

Please pray for,
or wing healing thoughts
and good wishes,
to
Sylvia & her family
as they start to walk this
new life path.

Thank you so much for the prayers,
thoughts and love
you have sent already.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Love to all of you-

TWO PRAYER REQUESTS FROM BLOGGERS~

I got an urgent request last night
from Sylvia.
Her blog is A Grandma's Blessings.

She would like prayers for
her hubby, Curtis.
His health has been compromised
for a long time and
Sylvia has dealt with it admirably.
However, yesterday he was
admitted to the ICU
with respiratory failure.
She asked me to let everyone
know that she won't be posting
(for a while) and to ask you to
please pray.
Here is a picture of them in
better times.

The second prayer request is from

A while back I put out a prayer request
for her beloved nephew, John.
He had cancer and in the picture below
his poor body was already showing
the ravages of the disease.
His spirit was strong and
he was a loving, giving man.
A man of medicine that helped make others well,
but for him there would be no  earthly healing.

Please pray for his sweet family,
his mom & dad, his wife,
and his beautiful children.
Pray for Debbie too.
She will miss him terribly.
His obituary is here if you would like to read it.

As always, thanks for your prayers
and if you don't pray.
please send well wishes
and healing thoughts their way.
Personally, I believe we are all in this
GAME OF LIFE
together and we need to support
and uplift each other
as much as possible.

I have been out of town and then
came back to lots of work
so I will do the

on Friday (Lord willing and the river don't rise).....

BACK FROM BREAK WITH 4 PRAYER REQUESTS & UPDATES

Hi there!
I had planned to come back today
with some fun stories about
my time away.

However, some things take
precedence over fun things.
Below are three people that
really need prayer
and healing thoughts and
well-wishes.

The first is Erich.
You can read his original story here.
That was well over
A YEAR+ AGO.
You can imagine the angst
his mom, Carole, is going through.
That feeling of being helpless
and not being able to help your child.
Here is part of her latest email to me.
Things are not going the way I have prayed they would here.  Erich went for his usual scan after 12 weeks on maintenance treatment with the antigen since the radiation and antigen had made the cancer inactive.  They opted then for maintenance treatment for the next 12 weeks. That being completed he went for another scan and that was not good..

The scan was done a week ago Friday, and we went to the oncologist for results a week later.  That was a few days ago.  There was reported to be an enlargement---  they type of which they cannot tell-- whether it is the tumor growing or scar tissue.  A new chemo BOTH bi-weekly and the antigen treatment again is prescribed.  Then another scan.  If that works, OK.  If not, the surgery is facing him .  If he chooses to have it as it is a horrible surgery that makes even the oncologist wince.  Hence, for this total last effort via medicines they can recommend.
Pray for her as well as for Erich.

Also, please continue praying for
my friend, Jettie.
You can read about her latest surgery here.
Look at that baby face!
I won't tell you she is 70 and I kinda hate her for looking like that at 70!
They think her daughters are her sisters.

Her surgeries have been rife with
complications and this one is no exception.
She was hospitalized for several days
after she was released for an infection.
There are two types of bacterial infections
at the surgical site
and she is being treated with an IV at home.
If this doesn't work, the next step is
NOT GOOD.

Also, Ted (same post) has had a
rough road to recovery.
His meds are on hold at this point
because of some kidney problems.
Pray that the problem is resolved
so that he can continue on his
treatment plan.
Susie (She Junks) is holding on!

As always,
if you don't pray,
please send up healing thoughts
and well wishes.

Thank you all so much
and I will be back with some
'stories' in a day or so...
after I catch up on my work load here.

Love you guys----
You are the best followers EVER!!!!

Edited to add:
This is from Dawn P
and I do not have an email addy for her.
If you read this, Dawn, please send me
your email info to dianakos1@gmail.com

Always in my prayers - all of those with need. As all of you all have included my Mom in yours as well - she had 1st chemo, did not go well, treatment stopped 1/2 thru last Thursday, sent to ER, admitted with afib off the chart, got it under control by Saturday so they released her, and she had rough night Sat nite with some chemo side effects but as she only had 1/2 a treatment not as bad as could be ... but it is looking like her cardiologist will be putting the kabash on the chemo.. which leaves her with 6 mos, maybe a year left... - we will know more this week. So I share my prayers with ALL of you...

PRETTY IN PINK? OR PEPTO-BISMOL DISASTER?

Ye Olde Bicycle
gets a tad weather-worn
during the winter season here.
Time for a little
SPRING SPRUCE UP!

I made  myself start using up
all the old paints that I have on hand.
This was one SweetCheeks picked out
a long time ago.
It is not the paint I would have chosen
for this bike
but it IS what I had here.

And...don't go whining about the size
of the watermarks on these.
I am using Windows 10 and for some things
there is just no rhyme or reason
as to why these things happen
TO ME.....
trust me...

So-
What does ye olde bicycle look like today?
Feast your eyes on THIS!
(Well, except for my friend,Jettie-
She says pink is pukey-lol)
(speaking of Jettie-she has a bacterial
infection in her hip-had more surgery
and is in hospital for several days-
she has a good attitude after
her 5th surgery on that hip and
she thanks you
for your prayers & well wishes)
I don't have the real
front and back baskets
attached yet.
However, I didn't want to
keep you in suspense
too much longer-
cuz you know how YOU are!
Wanna see more?
Do you love it
or does it hurt your eyes?

Don't be counting any weeds that need to
be cleaned up either..
Judge not lest ye be judged...just sayin'...
MyHero has been talking about
taking up cycling.
I thought I should look for a nice
cycling outfit for him.
If he puts this on I will even let him ride
MY BIKE!
It'd be perfect, don't ya think????
I didn't show you the whole thing
cuz I didn't want to see you
squirting your coffee out through
your nose-
It didn't leave much to the imagination
if you know what I mean.
SO-You can use
 YOUR imagination...
and imagine MyHero in it!!
Have a GREAT day!~

PRAYERS PLEASE FOR JETTIE'S SURGERY TOMORROW & TED UPDATE

This is not my usual prayer request.
I am usually crying when I write most of them.
However, this one is close to my heart.

This surgery has been a long time coming.
Jettie is the reason I am blogging today.
She started a blog called
where she blogged for books.
I had never heard of a BLOG before that.
I thought that was pretty cool and,
I thought I would blog for books, too.
(I never did because I got
sidetracked writing nonsense).
Anyway~
After emailing back and forth a whole lotta times,
she led me through the process of
setting up my blog
and here I am today-maybe paying
her back just a bit for all she has
done for me.
I hope she is down for a couple of days
cuz she is gonna kill me when she sees this picture.

Of course, I like THIS picture, too.
Now I am REALLY in for it.
But while I am on the subject-
Anyone else think her hubby
looks like Conway Twitty?
Just sayin'

Jettie and I have shared laughs and sorrows,
ups and downs,
health scares and family problems
for about 15 years.

For the last few years she has been in constant pain.
She has had a hard time walking and
in the last year or so it has been
REALLY BAD AGAIN!!!!
THIS IS HER 3RD SURGERY
TO FIX IT!
After agonizing over it and waiting "to see"
she decided to have hip surgery.
That was 5(?) years ago.
Fast forward-hip surgery was
NOT SUCCESSFUL SO IT HAS TO BE REDONE!

I know hip surgery is pretty routine today
but it is still scary when it is happening to you.
Please say a prayer for her
today and tomorrow.
Her surgery is happening tomorrow.
I am praying the doctor has a great morning
and is feeling good overall when he operates.

Thank you so much
for your prayers for a successful surgery,
no complications,
 and a quick recovery.
Jettie will read your comments here
in a day or so.

Oh-Yeah-
pray for her critters,too.
She has BO & CH...
both strays that she adopted.
Conway Her hubby
has to take care of them and he
pretends he doesn't like
"house critters"...
(although he has been known to pet them
when he thinks no one is looking).

As always,
if you don't pray,
please send
healing thoughts and well-wishes
Jettie's way.
Thanks so much-
Have a great day!

Ted Update:
Susie said yesterday that Ted was doing well.
He had his last chemo treatment yesterday
and, so far, is tolerating the
transplant nicely.
He has some rough days ahead of him
but yesterday was a good day.
Keep him and Susie in your
thoughts and prayers.

Off and running---
Question of the day:
When are you too old to stop running?
Answer:
I'll let you know-as soon as I get there!
