Green Bay Super Bowl Champs 2011

My daughter hosted
this year's
Super Bowl Party
at her house.
Her rec room
is decorated in
all sort of
Packer items.
Her hubby has been a
Green Bay Packer's fan
since childhood..
and every year
we all add to his collection.
This year
he and my son
were lucky enough to
score tickets and
go to the
Super Bowl
in Dallas, Texas
to watch our team
bring the championship
home to roost.
When we arrived at
TPot's house
we were each given a
All Access Pass..
This entitled us to
eat all we wanted
and to watch our own
Half-Time Show.

The kick-off was
preceded by
SweetCheeks version
of
GO PACK GO
(standing on stage
not caring that she
was now part of the
projector screen)The game started off
with 2 Touch downs
During commercials
the younger set
would jump on stage
to cheer on
The Pack...
Yeah...to say nothing
of getting everyone's
full attention...
Baby E was full of
squeals and giggles
Baby E thought he'd
had enough of the game
and the stage
and played with
the game decor...Halftime brought our
own Halftime show..
complete with
new cheers
by Lulu & her friend, Anika. There were several other cheers..
and then
SweetCheeks wondered
if it was time for
HER OWN
halftime show. Her show was rather lengthy..

and involved costume changes

and a drawn out story line.

Soon it was time for the game

to resume.

SweetCheeks....get off the stage.

Ih'm not froo wiff my show yet..

Yes. Yes you are! Get off the stage.

I wanna finish my show.. cuz

isss a spechsul show...

Nope- Sorry...Off the stageThe second half was full

of twists and turns..

we lost a couple of our

best players...Everyone was on their feet for most of the 2nd half. And then it was over..

Just like 1996 when Brett Favre brought

the trophy home..

This time the New Hero is

Aaron Rodgers...Good Job Buddy! And most of the kids rushed the stage...

full of excitement..that we had won.

Except for this one...

This one had taken her

pouty lip and gone upstairs

to watch a movie..

cuz she just didn't care~But everyone else did...

The schools are closed today and tomorrow..

It is a big day for Green Bay becauseIt's gonna be a happy town

this week! Amen

Well, if someone had to win besides the Bears, I'm glad you all are happy campers! LOL
Looks like you had a fun day, most of you, anyway...SweetCheeks just looks so pitiful. Maybe as she gets older she will understand the importance of the moment. Maybe.
I watched part of the half time and was not impressed, so your show was probably lots better!

That looks like it was a great party! Sweet cheeks reminds me of my own--she, too has plays and songs and stories that seem to go on forever! Thanks for you nice comment about the wild room--Annabel likes it much better now!

Lol, kids love a bit more than their 15 minutes of fame. They can drag it out. Fun.

Hi Diana,
I peeked in at your sight last night when I saw you guys won!!! Yeah!!!
Poor sweet cheeks and that pout, she looks serious this time!
Yes I love those silicon tipped bulbs and put them in all my windows too, except I leave them in year round... tacky maybe... but lots of people here do it, I don't know how it got started but they are so cheery:-)
I buy them at Jo-Annes, yes pricey, but they do seem to last a long time, I wanna try making some myself someday... someday!! Hahha!!
Enjoy the big win.. how fun to live in a happy happy town.. celebration!!
Hugs,
Bella

Congratulations!!! I wanted them to win, just for you... don't hate me, I am not that much of a football fan..:) BUT I watched & cheered.. & remembered YEARS of hosting Super Bowl parties...
That face on sweet cheeks, just makes me smile... that is every face of a pouting child.. Just adorable... Glad that you had so much fun... Now I am off to Dallas in the morning, here's hoping it warms up there a bit..

It's been a great ride!
My hubby was so hyped up he couldn't even sleep last night! Poor guy, that armchair quarterbacking takes a lot out of him.
He's sleeping soundly now though. What an exciting year and looks like you had a great half time show!
Hugs,
Cindy

Were the schools closed because of the win or snow? So cool if it is for the win. You halftime show was definitely better that the one on the field. My husband was rooting for the Packers as well. Hugs, Ginger

I know how you kind of feel because our baseball team the S.F Giants won the World Series this year and we went crazy...it is so thrilling to have your team win.
