ROMANTIC HOMES -MARCH 2015 REVIEW

I am on the ball this month.
I am getting the March Romantic Homes Review
done before the month ends.
That way you might still be able to
get a copy if you so desire

So-What does the March issue have to offer?
Well, I think one of the best things about this is
THE COVER!
Don't you just LOVE those
PINK HUNTER BOOTS?
When you open to page 12
you will see more of Gay's work.
This was photographed by
the very talented AND pretty
Gay Van Beek

There is a nice article about
Shabby & Chic Forever-
What else did I find in this month's issue?
I found the cutest Texas bungalow
owned by Keith & Chris Berger.
By: Victoria VanVlear/ Anne Lorys-photography

This lovely Southern home belongs to
The colors are darker and richer
than most shown
in Romantic Homes spreads.
Inside and out it is rustic AND refined.
Don't you just LOVE that outdoor area?

Speaking of LOVE
I also love this kitchen!
Brenda Adams
is the Texas homeowner
and the house sure is a beauty!
After you have visited the kitchen you can
continue strolling through the house
and end up here.
Just look at that view from that bed!

Speaking of views-
Now that I am through with my review
maybe I'll run down to Walmart and
try to buy myself a view.
yes-sir...look at this!
Looks like somebody's been shopping!
Begging your pardon if this is
YOUR CAR.
You know how I am.......

I did not know I was a no reply blogger, lol...now I have to go back to your blog and read how to change it, lol. I'm to old for this stuff, lol. Thanks for the info on the vanilla. Hugs...

And I love, love, love Rachel Ashwell....I just wish money was no object so I could buy something of hers and I'm not talking the Target stuff.

And, I changed the no reply blogger. Of course, I was using a few cuss words trying to change it. I told you I was too old for this. Hugs, Petie

Diana, I love all those beautiful homes. Now that car.....well it's plain scary ! I see where Katie Clooney says it's her car..LOL. There was an old fellow who lived one road over, in an old school house. He had two cars in the yard...just loaded down like the one in your picture..My Teddy Bear said those cars where the old fellow's tool sheds. :):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

When did you sneak by my house and get a photo of my car? Oh wait, that isn't my Crown Vic!! whoooo, thank goodness

Annesphamily said...

Hi sweet lady! That car reminds me of two ladies I worked with through the years, holy Batman those girls tossed everything in the back seat! One had mail from the beginning of the US Postal service! HaHaHa! Her mail of course! At least I sure hope!?! Diane was just an absolute hoarder and she stacked everything in her tiny car backseat area! I love, love, love that kitchen island with the shelving. Of course, I spied a tea pot so it was love at first sight for me! Good to see you here my friend. Hope all is well at your end of the world! Happy Hump Day! Hugs to you my friend!

pink! pink rocks everything! how about a ride around lawnmower, in pink????????? ,-)

ok, ok... OT... -grin-

hmmmm, that Sara Antin home really doesn't look like "Romantic Homes" does it? anyone ask them why they have veered off, a bit, like this? changes are always interesting. well, to me. and the "why" of changes, are even more interesting.

soooo, your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to contact the magazine, and ask why?

nahhhh, just kidddding!!!!

Well you can rest easy, Diana, as that is NOT my car:)! I really loved the March issue of Romantic Homes. I was totally drooling over that gorgeous huge Texas home. The one with the big creamy white kitchen and all of that amazing stonework. Have you gotten the April issue yet? I just got mine and love it! Oh, please let me know if you are able to see my comment in your in box. I am trying to switch over my settings to gmail. Hope it works!!

I love any color Hunter boots! Lovely review, stunning kitchen, a magazine of beauty. We used to have a guy who would show up at Citroën car meets, his car was jam packed with paper and stuff ... No kidding he got the nickname of mailbag. Have a fun day.

Great post with all the pink and great magazine also. Love the boots and there's a Hunter store just down the road from us and I will be getting a pair of those boots soon. Love them!

Hi Diana, so glad to see you back and in full swing again. I've been battling one thing or another for weeks now, but I think I've finally turned the corner. That looks like a really great issue of RH, I'm going to have to get it asap! Those pink boots had me at hello.

I always enjoy seeing your Romantic Homes Magazine review for the month. That one looks like a good issue. I'll keep my eyes open for it on newsstands. I do shop at Walmart, but that is NOT my car. LOL!

Beautiful, all of it. My first thought on seeing that car is who in the heck is buried in there. xo Laura

Oh Diana, I think that you have helped me with a problem that I am having. I am in the middle of making a slipcover today for my recliner and having a problem figuring exactly how I want to do the arms. That photo with the chair-covers is so clear and I can see clearly now what I want to do. If it turns outs the way I'm hoping . . . it will be on a future post. Thanks :)

My favorite is the outdoor view. It is lacking snow, yay! :)

I'm looking forward to hiding the winter boots and enjoying my plastic spring boots! Love that that outdoor area featured in the magazine. Outdoor dining seems so far away right now with the mountains of snow and our backyard ice rink. Soon, though!

Love all the photos from the magazine--so beautiful! That car is really packed!!! I helped load up a friend's van when she was moving, but I never got it *that* full!

I can never get enough Rachel Ashwell! Her stuff make me happy just looking at it.

Hi Diana, these were great issues and I am still enjoying mine. So enjoying catching up on your posts I missed while being away.
Love the recipe and thanks for sharing it. I agree with your pet peeves post too. One being the glitches blogger seems to continue. I have emailed for help but never had a reply. Most of my comments are coming through the dashboard now and I have never set that up. I did a post about this problem a few posts back and many didn't even know they had dozens of comments on their dashboard waiting to be published.

I would have to clean out that car. It would drive me crazy. We are heading into another winter storm with freezing ice and bitter cold. So crazy here. Thanks for stopping by while I've been away. Hope you get this comment in your inbox!! Yours does not arrive any longer in my email so no way to reply unless I do a separate email.
Hugs, CM

and
i'm SO GLAD that's not your car!!! cuz i might have said something mean. not meaning to of course. LOLOL.
but it's dangerous giving a minimalist a target like that! LOL.

Oh the image is not a good one! Ha Ha! I love looking at all those magazines and getting inspired for Spring, Summer anything with warmer temps!!

That car at the end... Oh my heavens, what on earth were they shopping for? I can't even imagine... I won't even go there. :)

I hope you have a wonderful day sweet friend!

Whoa! Hoarders love their cars, too! I'd sure hate to lose my keys in there......Loving the Romantic Homes review and so good to see a rustic home in there, too. Keeps me from wanting to paint my whole place white for a while. One of these days the Mr. is going to come home to a big white surprise! Lol! Loving those pink boots :) Hope your week is sweet. xo Karen

Great review...looks like lots of content. I sadly just cancelled my over 30 year subscription to Country Living today. Too much selling...advertising or blatantly selling product is now part of the fabric of every article. I miss the old days when magazines were filled to the brim!

Only you can put one of the prettiest pictures in a post (OMG, THAT BEDROOM!!) and a, let's say, not so pretty one (the car of course) and get away with it. ;)

Too pretty, my favorite is the outdoor room and view...no snow...I kind of feel I don't know what it looks like without snow anymore? Ugh.... you car reminds me of my, now Mr. C heads out and tells me how many "bags" I have in the car...like he thinks I'm taking it all back...uh, no way. Never seen the magazines, but beautiful photos.

Mary@mydogsmygardenandmary said...

That looks like a hoarders car. Saw one of those the other day. I don't know how the lady could drive and see out the windows.
Yes, I liked the magazine this month. You better stay away from Walmart or wear a mask so you don' get any germs from that hoarder LOL.

Love this issue! The bedroom is one of my favorites! Whew, that car! I thought my car was bad because I've been hauling stuff back and forth to Rome for the duplex, but this one is worse! I'll look for it on Hoarders! Hope you're feeling better!

I don't know that I could sleep in a room with such a view - it would be hard to close my eyes, lol! Thanks for sharing the beauty found within the pages of the Romance magazine... and your picture of that cluttered car cause me to just about lose my sip of hot tea... LOL! I truly enjoyed the peek into these beautiful homes! :)

Oh I think I need some pink far boots! I just know it would make the cattle work more exciting. LOL! I think I would never get out of bed if I had that view.

Wow, that kitchen is fabulous!!! I love that outdoor area too. Those Hunters are so cute! Deciding what color Hunters to get was one of the biggest fashion choices I made last year. Lol! Sad, but true. P.S. I got the "eggplant" color. :) They look black indoors, but dark purple outdoors. Weird.

Oh I am super excited to read my next issue of RH!! It looks like some beautiful things are in the pages this month. Ok, how about that kitchen, and what about that dog fabric on that pillow???

Beautiful features! See, we have some really good stuff in Texas ~ :) I guess I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time 'cause I've never had a beautiful space like that. Just gorgeous!

Diana, thanks so much for the lovely review! (hint to get the pink boots at a reduced price - I bought them in a kids size because I knew they'd just be for show!) Also wanted to mention that for next month's Romantic Homes I did a bio on the lady who makes the pink fabric with the cute dogs on them. She is based out of the UK and will be offering a discount to readers only. Stay tuned!
