My daughter-in-law is
TheSecretAgent...
A federal law enforement agent..
I am soooo proud of her..
However..
I think I might be
almost as good as she is
when it comes to
tracking someone down.
I come home from a little jaunt to
the drugstore.
I open the door...
Helloooo the house...
Anybody here?
I KNOW MyHero is here
because his car is in the garage.
There is a mystery afoot here somewhere.
First stop is the family room..
Hmmmm...the old boy had a bowl of cereal
(it's 4PM for Goodness sakes-didn't you ever hear of soup?)
Nope..cereal bowl left sitting on a tray on the ottoman.
Walking a bit further into the kitchen
the mystery deepens...
Scissors sharp enough to cut your finger off..
and tattered tops of something..
What has MyHero been up to?
I'm sure he left this for the fairies that come out and clean up
whilst he is sleeping.
Well...that part of the mystery is solved..
because here are the utensils he used to
melt cheese onto stone ground crackers in the microwave.
I'm sure he had a kink in his arm that prevented him
from lowering the dishwasher door and
putting things inside.
Nahh...save it for the fairies..
they were hoping for overtime pay this week.Take the steps...one by one by one...
Bedroom door open..
quiet...all is quiet..
no TV..
no light..
no sound..
Aha...well, there's a nice pair of pants folded sideways
and laid on the blanket..
hmmmm...and how did THAT blanket get over HERE?
Step with me into the master bathroom
for a very pleasant surprise...
Actually there are TWO surprises..
Neither of which surprise me at all...
but YOU might be surprised..
Close your eyes cuz you won't want to see this surprise...You peeked, didn't you?
I knew you would!
Why would anyone want to put their undies
in the HAMPER when you have a perfectly
nice tile floor that will welcome their presence?
Our next stop?
Yep!
He was here!
Can you guess how I can tell?
I have learned to not fall in at night
when I stumble into this little spot of the world.
I put this picture up above the
you-know-(see above)
to remind MyHero that he could have things much worse..
I'm sure there is an old Sears catalog awaiting him there.
And he wouldn't have to even flush..
let alone worry about putting the lid down...Only one more stop!
Aha! There he is...
Where's the little boy that abandoned his sheep...
He's under the covers...
Fast asleep!Hey-SecretAgent...pretty good sleuth work, huh???

Thanks for the laugh this morning. My husband does the same thing with leaving all those things out. It is part of their make up I do believe. They have no control over it.
Loved your post, waiting to see where he was! Mine thinks the carpet, his side of the bed is the closet!
You lucky gal, how can you complain! I mean at least he folded the pants... Mine thinks the upholstery machine that he insisted we purchase, is his own to throw his clothing at, when he arrives in the bedroom. The dirty ones go in the floor on his side of the bed. Everyone who knows us, knows he isn't allowed to use my bathroom, I sat down in the dark one too many times and had to be fished out....lol
LOL! Well, you found him. Cute outhouse painting!
LOL! Oh my gosh, Diana! Did YourHero know that you were stalking him and photographing him while he slept??! lolol! What a riot! And oh, yes. That brief-thing-on-the-floor issue? It MUST be a testosterone-genetic issue that all men have. My hubby is evidently afraid of opening the door of the dishwasher, and hasn't a CLUE what that wicker 'box' is in his bathroom that holds dirty clothes...Oh well. Can't live with'em and can't live without'em..... :)
Thanks for the laugh, dear friend! And make sure your driver's license is renewed. Debbie and I are gonna make you drive that mermaid car!! lolol!

Wow Diana...you should be a secret agent! I'm amazed at the way you found so many clues to finding your hubby!!! wait a minute...if his pants were folded, and grunds were on the floor, what was he wearing under those covers?
Debbie@houseatthelake
Debbie- EXACTLY!!!!!!
Hmmm, I reckon my hubby thinks we must have the same house fairies as you :-)
I so love reading you little tales. You're so good at keeping up the suspence!
