I pick SweetCheeks up after
school.
We have an hour to kill while
waiting for Mom
How was your day, SweetCheeks
Before she can answer
her sister pipes up.
SweetCheeks got in trouble today.
You did?
She gives me the
I Love You, Nana grin and nods.
DID you get in trouble today?
NOH- Noht really, Nana!
Now comes the coy look~
Tell me what happened.
Whew- Must be getting warm in here.
Gotta take off the coat.
So....what happened?
Uhmmmmmmm....wellllll.............
Sometimes it is easier to tell the
story to yourself in the mirror
rather than to face the Nana.
Wellll.....iht's lihke thissss!
I hitt a boy.
What? You hit a boy?
Yehp!
And THEN he hitted me bachk
and so did his two friends
and I started crying!
OMGosh! What did your teacher say?
He asked me why I hitted him.
What did YOU say?
I told him I hitted him and
I said it was because he was
RHUDE AND DISREPECKTFUL
cuz he throwed my ball in the
waste basket.
What did your teacher say?
He just smiled and thurned away.
Then he said I wusn't gonna get in
eny truble.
Then what?
Nothing...but I think those bohys
shoulda got in truble for
hitting me!
No MORE hitting ANYONE,
SweetCheeks. That is NOT NICE-
AND hitting someone is also
RUDE and DISRECTFUL
Pfffffftttt...
I KNOW THAT, Nana!
Nana-
Yes, honey?
Did you see that lady's nose over there?
It's so big I bet she has a hard time driving!

She keeps you on your toes. Sweetcheeks is the perfect remedy for a pick-me-up.
Love that last photo, such a cutie-pie!
I just hate rhude and disrepecktful boys! lol! speaking of noses... one day when robert was about 4 or 5 or 6.. I dont remember, I was mad at him and lecturing him about something. He just stood below me looking up at my face while I went on and on about whatever it was, and when I finished he said, "mommy.. when you yell your nose goes in and out!" LOL! he was watching my nostrils flare the whole time and not listening to me at all!
have a great week Diana!
xoxo
Well, you're not gonna have to worry about THAT one taking care of herself :-)
She has spunk, that's for sure.
Oh my gosh...she is so stinking cute and honest!!!!
Good luck!!! LOL
Xo
Good Morning, She doesn't need anyone to fight her battles for sure. I wonder how her teacher kept from laughing. It was amusing and I can remember denting a dinner bucket a long time ago hitting a boy that wouldn't leave me alone. Problem was explaining the dent to mom. She is such a joy and a great way to start my morning off. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
Oh my gosh. I love every single bit of this post! Too cute!
Angela
Spunk! What a great kid! I'll bet there's never a dull moment!!! :)
Nancy
oh Sweet Cheeks...you tell it like it is and every day of your life will bring joy and love to your NaNa.
Diana,
God knew only you could be blessed to be her NaNa.
It is so much fun living life through Sweet Cheeks.
The inside of the playhouse is gorgeous.
hugs
The photo of Sweetcheeks looking in the mirror and explaining her day is priceless! Love it! Glad you can spend some time with the girls, sounds like they all keep you on your toes!
What an entertainer! She is adorable!
Enjoy your Monday!
xo Nellie
Oh Dear. Its a good thing that sweetcheeks is so cute!
Well, I guess that boy will watch who he picks on next time, won't he. Tell SweetCheeks that boys are just like that. They do silly things like throw balls in wastepaper baskets when they're trying to get a girls attention. He probably likes her! Or, at least he probably did. She may have put an end to that! LOL
LOL I just about spit my coffee out!Thank you for always putting a smile on my face!
Have a great day!
xx
Anne
LOL- you are so going to snort that starbucks one of these days or is that why that mirror was so dirty? Must have been a really big nose.
Well, it took 3 of them this year. Bet they won't be able to get the best of her in a year or two.
Oh boy- she's full of it and keeps life interesting!
You know I'm smiling with this one. So cute!
Just so cute and entertaining, that girl! Have you watched that movie yet that I told you about? I know her and her sisters would enjoy it. So would you! I'm thinking of renting it. I would not mind seeing it again.
That SweetCheeks brightens every bodies day... except rude and disrespectful boys who throws things that don't belong to them in the trash.
out of the mouths of babes.....cute story! and she is a cutie - how could anyone be mad at her?
This little girl just keeps everyone in stitches...so great that you write it all down so it can be remembered someday!
~Trisha
She's just a mess!!! LOL! At least she opened up and told you what happened. Hopefully, she'll learn her lesson and not hit anyone anymore.
HaHaHa...Have a good day Aunt Diana :) Thanks for the laughs!
OMG....too funny! Remember the old show Kid's Say The Darndest Things? She would be a hit there.....
precious sweet cheeks! I pick my Betty up everyday too...we have become avid bird watchers!
Nana,
Too, darn funny, dear friend!!!
That coffee would have probably squirtted right outta' my nose!!!
You are truly blessed!!!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. Just stoppin' by to say thank you for all your sweet comments and visits!!!
Zena Warrior Princess-I think that is Sweet Cheeks
alter ego. It's amazing to me that you get to actually drink AND swallow your Starbucks-LOL
Can you imagine the teacher's face when this all came down. He is probably a softie when it comes to sweet cheeks.
Haha. That kid is a scream - I love it!! :-) I'm so glad you're sharing these things with us.
Life with little ones is always delightful.

So thankful we have Sweet Cheeks to keep us entertained! Cracking up over here! So fun that you use your blog to document what she says - great cause we get to laugh about it and great cause you can look back on it when she is grown and laugh again!

Carol
hahhhaaa.....just like a little sweet grandgirl....
good for her for taking some kind of stance on being treated with respect!!
LOL... Hitting boys means no boyfriends... Thats a good thing!!!
(I kid I kid)...
you should write a book! she is so funny!
Will she be joining Charlie's Angels any time soon? That pic you took of her looking into the mirror is stunning! I'd be framing that one for sure. Well, it would be weird for my to frame a pic of your granddaughter but you should do it.
My little miss is really something, love her quick wit and super adorable. I too do hope you'll never be choked. Sweet child. Got my eye on your next posts.
Oooohhh...I know these scenarios too well; I AM A TEACHER! I have heard it all!
HI DIANA! You must have tons of stories to tell if you spend an hour a day with this little darling!
Thank you so much for visiting. I look forward to a small trip to my home state and to read more so that I can return to posting, refreshed!
Enjoy another day with the grand!! Anita
Oh that SC...she nose how to keep us laughing!
Looks so good..Wish I liked cherries...
So...this is possibly the cutest post of all time. I was so grateful you provided a glimpse of her telling the story in the mirror. I have a 4 year old who talks like that and does those things - so I "get" it. :) My favorite part is the nose comment. LOL!!
By the way, I've read a few of your comments you've posted on the various blogs I follow, and I couldn't take it anymore. I had to come over and find out who the beautiful lady was leaving those sweet words! Well, here I am, happy to have found you.
I'm your newest follower from Oklahoma.
XOXO,
Meredith
Love love love love it. These conversations are absolutely precious. So good that you're recording them. Not to mention sharing them with the rest of us. :)
