No Calorie Chocolate Cake

When I saw this recipe on
Cathy's blog- Cobblestone Farms
I thought it
LOOKED GOOD.
In fact, it looked SO GOOD
that I whipped it up that afternoon.
It made a wonderful little
Valentine's Day treat.
sent me the candle!;>)
The only changes I made to
this recipe was to add
 an extra teaspoon of vanilla
to the cake AND the frosting.
AND~ I, being a bit weird,
poked holes in the top of
the cake so the icing could
drip down inside.
I can't remember how many
years it has been since I
made a Bundt cake.......
a   l-o-n-g   time!
LOOK at that icing!
A maraschino cherry fills each hole.
 Oh-So-Good.
Pop by Cobblestone Farms blog
for the recipe.
You'll be glad you did.

Ps.  Now, make sure everyone else eats
at least TWO BIG pieces.
Remember my motto:
The fatter THEY look the skinnier YOU look
standing next to them!

PPS- I mighta lied about the
NO CALORIE part~

For those of you too lazy
to click the link here is

Oh that does look yummy! I have an old lemon cake recipe that you poke holes into for the icing to work into the cake. Putting the cherries on it is a cute idea! Wouldn't you know I married a man that doesn't fatten up!

Good Morning, Breakfast food. hehe. Not a single calorie funny. I needed a laugh this morning before I head to the nursing home to see what is going on. I need to go check on him. Have another piece of cake with your Starbuck's just teasing. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

This is the reason I was so hungry and had to get Craig up for my breakfast. LOL
I haven't had or made a bundt cake since the farm, mom loved them. I used to make the marble cakes in the pan, remember when they first came out?
Hiding the cherries in it is a great idea. Love the look of the icing. Mail me a piece.

You are such a tease, Diana! I bet the REAL reason you poked the holes in the cake was so you could soak it in rum, right?!! Glad you are enjoying your candle, hope you are burning it:)

Oh my goodness, I am still working off the calories from those caramels...which are amazing by the way.

Thanks for the recipe.

I can see where that would have no calories, and I may try it the next time we have pot luck at church. I'm a strange bird, I like cake while it is warm, but seldom eat any of it, once it gets cold.

Diana, That cake looks so good! So glad it is at your house so you can eat it rather than me(but I couldn't eat it anyway due to gluten). You must know that I do need to get back into shape.

Oh yum! Funny, you should post this now. I also made a bundt cake this weekend (actually 2) after years of not making any. The family and folks at church liked them so much I may have to do it much more often.

Oh Diana - that is to funny - I was reading over the recipe to make sure I typed it all correctly and I noticed the timing on the cake. I never use a bundt cake pan - the one in the picture is just an itty bitty one - I always use a regular cake pan which takes 30 min. I'm sure a big bundt cake pan would take a lot more time - sorry about the confusion! ;-)
