Hurry Up There Sister!

Only through the eyes of a child
do we sometimes see
the bigger picture of life.

SweetCheeks was dawdling over
her crackers  and cheese "treat".
I said~
"Hurry up there, sister!"
Whereupon she looked at me~
I ahm NOTT youh sistehr
I ahm youhr granddawter.
But in GOD'S eyes I ahm youhr sistehr though!
You are?
Yep!  God sayhs we are AHLL sistehrs.

Now I ask you- How DOES a 4 year old
KNOW this stuff?

Papa piped in.
Well, then am I your brother?
In GOD'S eyes youhr my brothehr.
I am?
Yep!
What am I in your eyes?

Giving him the sideways look
she promptly replied.
A Gorilla!

Gotta love THAT kid's sense of humor.

MyHero is still scratching his head!

I notice that along with scratching his head, she allowed him a banana as a treat, instead of sharing her cheese and crackers...

Our Goose was telling us a story yesterday about pulling a tookey out of a tree by his fedders and I sat there and thought of Sweet Cheeks, hah.

Maybe Papa needs a good waxing and then the kids won't confuse him with a gorilla!

Wishing you a wonderful Turkey Leg Day - it would seem you have something extra to be thankful for this year ;) I do too - I get the little one's share of turkey, right?

You know, just looking at her pictures you can almost see the wheels turning in her head. What a wonderful imagination and her remarks are priceless! A gorilla!?! Her doll in the woods with the dear!?! She is too cute and too funny for words. What a joy!

I am amazed that she knows the terms brothers and sisters in that context. Smart girl.

A BIG...BIG...HUG TO SWEET CHEEKS.
She is a humorist just like my son was at her age and it has continued. When he tries to be funny...he is not...but when it just flows out like SWEET CHEEKS it is both hysterical and genuine.
Thanks for sharing Sweet Cheeks with us.
hugs
love
CONGRATULATIONS once again to precious CHARLES IN CHARGE.

How precious she knows we're all brothers and sisters! She's adorable! What does she think of the new baby? Been there to spend time with him yet, or is he a bit of a baby gorilla?

Blessings,
Donna
