Fall Tables CAN Be Fun- Or Funny- You Decide~

I've been thinking about
Fall centerpieces.
I am not quite ready to
hop on the
Christmas Train yet,
are you?

So, as I was thinking about
Thanksgiving coming up
I got my copy of
My heart always beats a
bit faster when I get
my copy.
I can't wait to have a few
minutes to sit down
and devour it.

I love the front Fall entry
to this house.
And, while I love to see
the outside all prettied up for
Thanksgiving,
I am thinking about
flowers for the table today.
I love the rustic look
of this old piece filled with
all the colors of Fall.
Or, how about a pumpkin filled
with the sweet scents of Autumn?
Or...maybe this....
Another looser arrangement
to brighten the table.
I love the natural elements of this one.
And I can see these off to the
side adorning a kitchen counter.
Aren't these CUTE?

  I think they would
be darling on a
Kid's Table.
Do you have a kid's table
for Thanksgiving?
I love a kid's table..
snugged right up to the main table.
bing image

AND...wouldn't the kids love this one?
Ummm...imagine what THAT looks like
after the fish do
their "thing"..unh-huh...
Losing your appetite thinking about it?

I don't know about this one...
Looks like there's not much
room for plates..
and I think there might be deer
under the table waiting
for their antlers!
They never thought when they
left them behind that someone
would pick them up and
use them for decorating!
They are on the move now
that it is hunting season.
They want to run
before SOMEONE decides
that they want their TAILS,
as well as their antlers!
(notice how they have their tails tucked?)
And, if I told MyHero
once I told him a thousand times.
DO NOT WEAR THESE WITH
YOUR BROWN COAT
when you go walking in the woods.

It could give a whole new meaning
to the term
"hunting widow"
yeah....

Cute post Diana! Great ideas for table centerpieces. I just usually put some fresh flowers on the table.
Not sure about the fish bowl on the table either. Yuck!

You're going to think I am silly, but I like the idea of the gold fish centerpiece. My daughter was to a wedding where they had beta fish in a tall-ish container and flowers above. It was beautiful!

Remember the gold fish in my pond....
(hehe) think they could do a final appearance before they head to the big lake?

All such pretty images! Thanks for sharing because I'm trying to figure out what to do with my Thanksgiving table & it's driving me nuts! Thoughts of Christmas are continually haunting me, but I keep trying to stifle them.

I wonder which centerpiece Denny's will have for Thanksgiving? I'm actually thinking of going out to eat this year and save all the mess for someone else. No leftovers that way though. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

I'm hoping my oldest daughter decides to host Thanksgiving at her house this year. I think after this wedding I need a break! After seeing all your clever decorating ideas, I'll offer to bring the turkey AND the decorations. Very cute! I love the idea of a kids table.

Beautiful center pieces. I am thinking of leaving the center of the table bare this year, though. It seems whatever I make or buy to put in the center of the table gets moved to make room for food. I guess there are just too many men around here. Thank God that He's given us GIRLS to finally even things out! :-)

What gorgeous arrangements you found, Diana!
I like the idea of using pumpkins as risers.
The kids table is giving me ideas for the grandkids table...but no fish...eewww.

Great ideas and thanks for warning me not to wear my antlers out during hunting season!

Love all the arrangements, but the fish bowl? Yeah, not happening here. The cats would never get off of the table. Thanksgiving Day Massacre right in my house!
LOL- antlers on DH and a brown coat sounds like an idea...if the hunters don't get him, the big buck will. OOOOOHHHHH- I didn't say that...

I am def not ready for Christmas. I love Fall and I love, love Fall decor. I don't get to experience Fall in sunny South Florida so I want to leave my decorations up as long as possible. Thanks for the post that made me smile.

Diana, every time I come to your page either I smile or I laugh. I love it!!
My favorites here are those flower pumpkins right above the kid's table collage. They are gorgeous! I think the goldfish centerpiece is cute too.
If I could, I'd prolong autumn as much as possible. It is my favorite season of all but sadly it is typically rushed off for Christmas. :( Don't go, autumn. boo-hoo
I am DELIGHTED that you joined my 11/11/11 Starbucks Giveaway. Cindy's a doll for telling you. And your quote is lovely.
Have a gorgeous day, my dear.

I don't think the fish would survive the kids table with our family. It would be alternately fed/petted/teased to death.

Gorgeous centerpieces!

I love the rustic look too. a centerpiece should look like it is relaxed for me. I love you fun post. and I would never wear those antler things outside. My neighbors already think Im a nut.

Oh my, what GORGEOUS pictures on this fun post! I loved looking through all the beauty. My husband is a hunter and I was recently thinking I need to bring out some antlers to use in decorating this time of year.

So many pretty ideas here..thanks for sharing them. Thanksgiving is at my house this year, it won't be all fancy, wish I was better at that but by the time I have made all the food, about all I have left in me is.."come and get it!" LOL

Diana,
The centerpieces shown are gorgeous, minus the goldfish, right color, wrong place! Have to say, I love the table with all the pumpkins, pine cones and antlers! Am I all alone in that?
Deers don't have to be killed to get antlers! Will pass on the ones that go with the brown coat! LOL!

love the pumpkins as risers but not the poor goldfish so much. :) Thanksgiving at my house and I am hoping for pretty weather so I can set up tables on the deck. I think I am going to use old quilts as the table cloths. Love all the inspiration you showed us Diana. xo
