NANA HARDER''S FIRST FLEA MARKET SHOWING

Yesterday I shared a bit
of the
Maxwell Flea Market
with  you.

You know how sometimes
you are walking along
and a booth just draws you in?
Well, that is what happened
to me.
Maybe because I like
sewing.
Maybe because I like
kids' clothes.
Maybe because the lady
was so nice.

Maybe because she is a Nana
like me and she
has a matching
Nana Necklace.
For whatever reason...
I visited this lady.

Her name is Sheila Harder
and she makes beautiful
children's clothing.
Look at her choice of
fun fabrics.

It all started with this book.

She wanted to make neat
pillowcases to match.

It took off from there.

She even found an old-fashioned
pattern from when she was
a kid and made a dress
just like one her Mom
made for her.

Her sewing skills
are not to be questioned.
This gal knows what she is doing.
Now, here's the funny part..
this booth is full of
little girl clothing..
and she is
NANA
to all boys!
Every Nana can dream
of having a little girl
to sew for, can't she?
Sheila sews for them all.
She is Nana to many.
I like this gal.
She is a person that I could
be friends with...
sit down and chat with
if we lived closer.

She doesn't have a website yet...
but I think she may soon..
at least on Etsy.

If you are interested you can
contact her at
or call her at
414-751-4399
I'll bet she would custom make
something just for your kids..
at a reasonable price.
Now...we gotta teach her to blog!!

ps..I didn't ask but I think she made
her hat too!
She is my kinda gal!

pps...I sent her an email telling her I was
doing this post and that my daughter
thought that Nana Harder might think
Nana Diana was just a little loony~
Nana Harder emailed me back
saying
ALL Nanas are a tad crazy...
See- I told you it wasn't just me~

She is one talented lady and I can just imagine the smiles that she creates right along with all the pretty little dresses. Oh, how I wish I had a granddaughter.

Thanks for the sweet story.

That's so cute, I love how she found an old dress pattern to make a dress like her mother made her:)

Yep, my grands call me Nana and they would probably agree that most Nanas are a little crazy, lol.

I would love to visit her booth. I'll bet the clothes were precious. I used to sew, but haven't in years.

Oh Diana Sweetie...
Now she is definitely our kind of gal. I am like you, I could have sat there all day and visited, I just know I could have. She has such a warm and inviting face. Just makes you feel right at home.

How sweet that she has all boys, and no girls. I guess she can sew for lots of little girls and be happy as a lark. Beautiful share sweet friend. Just beautiful.

Have a wonderful weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Those dresses are amazing. I bow down to anyone who can make clothes because I am pretty much limited to sewing things with straight lines. Funny, she doesn't look like a nut job, but then neither do you.

What a nice post!!

As the daughter-in-law of this Nana, and mother of one of her adorable grandson's, I have to tell you that she makes adorable clothes for little boys too! It is so fun to see the passion & excitement in her as she makes the clothes. Hopefully someday we'll give her the granddaughter she longs for (however, in NO way are her grandson's deprived...)!
