Three Things From The Three Girls I Love Best

Ha!
Bet you thought I was talking about my
three sweet little grandgirls, didn't you?
Well, I DO LOVE THEM...
but I also love their Mama and her sister
and my daughter-in-love.
No picture of her as I respect her
right to privacy.
But-believe me-she is a beautiful girl.

I am so blessed to have a loving relationship
with all three girls.
I KNOW how lucky I am that MamasBoy
married a girl that I love like I love
my daughters.
That doesn't happen often....
trust me--- I know from experience.

Anyway, these girls all know me well.
I want to show you three gifts
that speak to my heart.
Sorry about the glare.
We have a house of  windows and there
are NO dark spots.
A good thing for me- a bad thing for pictures.
My oldest daughter gave me the
beautiful scarf.
It hangs around my neck most of the time...
I wear a lot of green AND black.
So this is perfect!
This photo shows the right color.
My younger daughter painted this
on an old window.
I covered the backside with a piece of fabric
so that the words now pop out.
It hangs in our kitchen.
I was always going to have that painted on
the wall of a dining room.
Don't you love that quote?

And, last but not least,
My sweet "daughter", married to MamasBoy,
 gifted me with this.
It was really funny because when I opened it
I loved it but
could not remember WHERE I saw it...
or HOW SHE KNEW that I loved it.
She must watch me like a hawk because
I spotted it when we went on the

That is three years now that she has
purchased something I saw and admired.
I think next year I will go for one of
THE HOUSES WE SEE
rather than a decoration.
Just kidding-
I know that would be too hard to wrap!

I hope that all of you have
someone special in your life that
"gets" you.
Someone that knows what you love and
loves you enough to give it to you if they can.

Oh, yeah...
MyHero said he has something
for my neck, too.
Hmmmm...
You didn't really think it was going to be a
DIAMOND NECKLACE did you?

Have a great day..
I'll be "hanging around" with
SweetCheeks today.
She is home with Nana
watching movies and resting.

How wonderful that you have a beautiful relationship with your "big" girls. It took years to have a good relationship with my MIL. Now, she's gone. Enjoy your day with sweetcheeks. I hope she feels better soon.

Your "hero" better be showering you with Jewels...no ropes! what an amazing feeling to have such special people in your life that get you. My twin sister is that one for me. She and I can finish each others sentences. Have a wonderful week.

Wonderful, thoughtful gifts, Diana! I love that quote. I'm babysitting the granddaughter for a few hours today and I'm looking forward to that. Especially since it is snowing and cold out ~ again!

Beautiful gifts Diana from your three girls... and how lucky your daughter in law is to have a wonderful mother in law like you... your three little girls are adorable too, as always!... glad you are feeling better, xoxo Julie Marie

I have all boys, so I'm praying hard for good daughter-in laws! I don't hold it against your DIL at all for keeping her photo off the internet. Just this week I decided to use my own photo and real name for the first time. It's nerve wracking, especially when you have young children.
You are blessed!

Sweet to have caring people, in your life.

Oh oh, sounds like Sweet Cheeks is getting over some cold or "bug." Rest well, Sweet Cheeks....

Hi Sweet D!

I am finally back!

I have been having trouble leaving comments. With the help of one of my blog buddies we figured out it's something with Google Chrome.

Imagine that...You can't navigate through Google Blogger when logged in through another Google product!

My friends and family watch my blog for gift ideas. They, like your "Beautiful Three", did one heck of a job reading my dream gifts for Christmas!

Your gifts were lovely and sentimental. That scarf is to die for...I bet you feel wrapped in live when you wear it!

Enjoy your day with SC!

What a heartwarming post about your three older girls and always about your younger ones! Those relationships are truly a blessing, right? Hope you and sweetcheeks are on the mend soon! Get a nap in!

Hahahaha...nothing like a little gallows humor to start the day...

I try to respect my daughter-in-law's right to privacy, too, with little regard for my kids' right to privacy. I hope that your grands never demand a right to picture privacy as mine have done. Sigh.

That quote is fun and I am quite certain that you live up to your end of the bargain! The Let it Snow picture is darling!

Hope that both you and SweetCheeks get some rest today.

Hi Diana! Well, those three little gals are just adorable and so are you 'big' gals. How sweet that they know you so well. Your gifts are so pretty too. Thanks for popping in to see me at Kiki's.
Be a sweetie,

Did you get SweetCheeks sick? I'm going to take away your Grandma Of The Year Award! Seriously, I want to come to your house when I'm sick. I imagine there's lots of chicken soup, watching tv and laying on the couch (my favorite three things)!

What pretty gifts. And yes, you are blessed that Momma's Boy married a sweetheart. I am blessed that Andrew married Brandy. I get along so well with her. I don't see my other daughter in law as much, but I couldn't love Brandy any more if she'd been my own. That is a rare thing. And much better than having to walk on egg shells trying not to offend or trying to make someone feel as if they fit in. Some people simply FIT!

Relationships are a two way street. Clearly, you are a very good mother-in-love. Not everyone is that lucky! ;)

LOVE that quote! I use wall quotes around the house but never thought of using one in the dining room. Great idea. You are lucky to have three great girls who get you. I'm blessed, too, in that my MIL has always said she thinks of me like a daughter, not a DIL, and she has always treated me that way! My own mom died when I was 24 so this has been especially comforting to me. Enjoy your day!

Now now! I very seriously doubt your hubby would give you a noose instead of a real necklace. LOL! I really like that painted window with the quote. So charming! It's nice to have someone give you something that speaks to you and isn't just a gift for the sake of giving.

Shirley@Housepitality Designs said...

Love those very thoughtful gifts…how wonderful to have such wonderful girls in your life!!

The noose! Ha!

You have 3 angels...I never thought about my kid's partners, as far as who they would marry and how they would complete our family. It's just wonderful. And so are your gifts! The ice skate print. It's so precious that your DIL remembered something that meant something to you. That's a priceless gift!

I love that quote although I was not familiar with it but it makes a lot of sense! Your daughter is very talented! That is a lovely framed picture your "daughter" gave you. How thoughtful of her to be so observant as to what you like! You certainly are very blessed but you deserve it. I hope you enjoyed your day with SweetCheeks. I'm a little late in commenting today!

Lovely gifts. I can't pick a favorite. My daughter is good at picking out the perfect gift for me. The picture of the skates would really fit into my snowman scheme of things.

I have been lucky to have an ex-son-in-law that I love like a son (we still talk often) and the person my daughter has in her life now is like a son, too.

Val said...

How dear of them. :) I love seeing those kinds of moments between my mom and my sisters-in-law. Yes, yes, yes--Sweet, all of this. ♥

It is so wonderful when someone gets you and picks out something that makes them think of you (in a good way). I love it when that happens.

My daughter has put me on restriction...no more pictures of her or the grandson, no more talk of them, I swear she is killing me but I have to respect her wishes. ;j
