Sweet Cheeks Sick? Spoiled But Still Sweet!

I meant to get around to visit
last night but I was so tired
it didn't happen.
Bear with me-
I'll be around today, I hope!

As you can see this is how our poor little
SWEET CHEEKS
looked when came to my house
on Monday.
She was NOT feeling well.
Movies filled a few hours.
She started feeling better on
Tuesday.
I coaxed her to eat with her favorite
Octopus On The Rocks.
I used her sweet little pink plate
with a pretty place mat
and a ruby-lipped cup of milk.
She only ate about half of that
but cleaned her little demitasse cup of
Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie Ice Cream.
Now, WHAT kind of NANA gives a sick kid
chocolate ice cream?
ME!  Shhhhhhhhh-

I looked and SweetCheeks poor baby was sick, too.
What do you do when you don't have a bed
for your baby?
SweetCheeks turned her lap trap upside down.
A perfect little bed.
As WE started feeling better we needed a bit of diversion.
Wednesday we played games all day.
I lost every single game-not on purpose.
Bet I could beat her at Scrabble though!;>)

Due to Nana's good care by Wednesday night
SOMEONE felt a whole lot better.

When all else fails you can wash the last
of the sickness away with lots of bubbles.
Ah- Yes-
Home again-Home again-
Jiggety Jog.
I think she is back in school today.

Whatever shall I do with my day today
without her here?
Ummmmmm...
IF I can find this spot-this is where I'll be-
And if YOU find YOURSELF sick
and you need some taking care of-call me----
I'll give you the name of a good doctor
Nana Diana's Day (and Night) Care
 is closed for the week!

Bless her heart, she sure looked bad. Hope she gets back in school today. What did she learn about the presidents while you had her? More info to make her teacher look bad again, I hope. LOL

I'm glad Sweet Cheeks is feeling better. And I hope that you and the other two girls don't catch whatever it is she had. It's no fun being sick! (unless maybe you're at your Nana's and she spoils you)

Poor kid. I always hate it when kids don't feel well and it just affects how they normally are. I'm sure for being sick she enjoyed being taken care of by you, Diana.

Gosh with all that TLC, I wouldn't be surprised if she plays sick some times just to get all that care again! You thought of everything. I love how you made her food look so fun!

My youngest son was home sick at the same time. Good think he didn't see the good care you give or else he would have fired me as his nurse!
They are pretty sweet when they are sick. So pitiful and needy. Even a grumpy 14 year old boy!

So nice for a little girl to have a Nana to care so well for her. I found myself at the doctor's office Monday afternoon with a sick little one...ear infection. Glad that SweetCheeks is on the mend and back in school. May everyone else remain vertical!

Nursing can wear you out, for sure.
Soak in that tub and rest today-if you can:>)

Bless her heart. She is blessed to have you to take care of her. Hopefully, you are feeling better too. Seeing her Cabbage Patch baby reminds me of my RICH, former college chum, Xavier!

Poor baby. But how could anybody stay sick for long with a Nana constantly over her with all that love! I am definitely stealing the octopus on the rocks idea.

It's good to hear that Sweet Cheeks is feeling good enuf to go back to school. It must have been the chocolate ice cream that did the trick! :)

She is not spoiled she is loved. You are a great grandma taking them when they are sick. I do the same except for belly issues. The last time I said and did that I was in the hospital for 4 days.
She did look pretty down but those bubbles perked her up.
Staying warm????/

A little TLC never hurt anyone. Almost always makes anyone feel better. I like that jacuzzi type bath with all those candles, yep, would like to find one of those places too!!

The Candy Land and Chute and Ladders games bring back such sweet memories. I'm feeling nostalgic at the moment. So glad SweetCheeks is all healed up. Who takes care of Nana Diana when she's sick? Hope you're feeling better!

Connie in Hartwood said...

I was one of those moms (and grandmas) who believed that a sick child (or adult) can and should eat whatever they have a hankering for. One of my kids almost always wanted bacon when she was sick. Not the average food that we are 'supposed' to feed someone who doesn't feel well, but it worked for her.

Glad to hear that she's feeling better. You're a good nurse.

Can could tell that SC didn't feel good at all. She is not spoiled, she is a wonderful child. She wanted her Nana To take care of her. She loves you very much. So glad that she is feeling better and I hope you are too.
Have a wonderful weekend and not to much snow.

Hi Diana, Sweet cheeks definitely looked like she didn't feel good and grandma comes to rescue. You do feed them whatever they feel like eating to try to make them feel better. You try to keep them entertained and I know with the boys it gets interesting. Why do grandmas lose at playing games with the kids? I know they change the rules to suit them at times. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

So happy she's feeling better! You know, when my son & family first moved back here from Houston, Alex was 7 and Abby 5. She would call me when she was sick. :) The first time I told her I was so sorry...did she need anything? She said yes, she needed ice cream ~ Moosetracks. I took it over there & the parents didn't know she had called. Loved it!
