Alphabet Laughs-I Is For Indigo And Ice Cream And Idiots

hI!
I love the color Indigo!
I love the
Indigo Blue Buntings
that show up at our feeders
in the Spring on their
way to their summer home
North of us.
Aren't they beautiful?
I also love the old toweling
that had indigo stripes.
You can buy new ones but
they just don't have the
feel to them that the old
ones possess.
I have ONE of them left
that belonged to my mother.

I is also for
Ice Cream.
If you have been following
for a while you know that
I don't eat sugar.
However,
I have discovered a wonderful
product.
Breyer's No Sugar Added
Vanilla Ice Cream.
I you're dying for something
sweet-but don't want the sugar
this is a delicious alternative.
Do you know I only like
VANILLA ice cream?
Yep-
Plain and simple-
that's me.
Wait- I don't mean I am
SIMPLE...as in
simple-minded.
I mean I am easy to please.
Don't ask MyHero
about that though,
because....
well, I haven't told you this,
but he is a known liar.

And-Last but not Least-
I come to the subject
of Idiots.
Can you
BELIEVE they made a
remake of a movie about
 THESE THREE IDIOTS?
Wonder what they are looking at?
Hmmmmm...
You will have to pop back by
tomorrow to see what has
captured their interest!

Last day to sign up for the
FIVE DAY GIVEAWAY.
Just leave me a comment.
If you have commented  on all
five other G posts this
will count to put your name
in the drawing SIX times!
So...click your heel together
and whisper
SweetCheeks name
and maybe she will pick YOU!

Hi Diana,
I'm stopping by to say hello and see what you are up to! I've been an absent blogger for awhile and trying to catch up.

Would you believe that I watched that silly movie with my family on pay per view! LOL! It had to be the dumbest movie ever.

Love the indigo blue.

hugs
Sissie

I click my heels daily anyway so I'm half way there!

Hi Diana, Sweetcheeks is probably asking if it is time that she gets to pull out the name. I would love for it to be me. It would make a good birthday present. Breyer Ice Cream whether Vanilla or another favor is yummy. We like Peach, Strawberry, they normally have a pretty good selection in our neck of the woods. It makes me cold to think about it of course could it be because it is 48 degrees outside. Have a great day. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

Just stopping by to say Goooooood Monday Morning! Did you know, back along time ago, when I was first married, I worked with Curly's daughter? She was a very quiet girl. :)

Maria Elena said...

I'll take the vanilla ice cream any day, but it has to have a few fresh peaches or strawberries on the plate next to it! LOL Hope you have a great week!

The Idiot remark caught my attention right away!

Love vanilla but then coffee ice cream is my favorite, by Haagen-dazs. Have you tried it? I know you love your Starbucks, coffee ice cream could be a new fav. Have a great week!

That picture of Sweet Cheeks is adorable, Diana! I couldn't understand why they made a Three Stooges movie. I just saw it was on Movies on Demand on our cable, but I can't see paying to see it. I'll probably wait until it hits a local cable channel.

Jettie said...

Hey, I resemble that!
In case you never watched those idiots, that was one of their lines, but I won't be going to see the movie, some things are better in the original version.
Sweetcheeks, I'll bake cookies for you, if you'll draw my name.

Kim @ Savvy Southern Style said...

Several years ago we had the indigo bunting birds here on my feeders. They were so pretty and haven't seen them since. I think that movie flopped. Could not believe they tried to bring them back.

My husband asked me what my favourite colour is a few days back, I told him I didn't have one, he told me I was odd, lol.

Oh such a cute post and for the Ice cream, my favorite is vanilla too. I have tried the sugar free ice cream and it is good.
Saw that movie and it was okay and funny in a new kind of way. Nothing will ever compare to the real three guys!! But the actors did a great job of trying to capture the characters.
Thanks for stopping by and your new following. Hope you have a great week.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

What a cute photo of Sweetcheeks! She really is growing up fast! I say, give me real ice cream with sugar (sorry, I don't do sugar free, except for my Diet Coke!!). My favorite flavor when we lived in WA was Tilamook black cherry. Sadly, that's only available in the Pacific Northwest (sniff, sniff!). So give me a bowl of Hudsonville (do you have that brand in WI?) triple peanut butter cup, and I am happy a happy camper!

Very fun!! Why don't you link this up with me at Say It Saturday? Thre's still time today :)

The Three Stooges. They give me the willies. My mother says when I was a little girl, if the Three Stooges came on TV, I would run and hide. I still feel that way about them.

I do like ice cream though!

Sarah said...

Oh, give me vanilla too. I love to melt it down to a creamy soft spoonful. Can't keep it in the house though because, well, you see it would disappear as soon as "the chef" discovered it was in the freezer. Now if I bought a different flavor, he wouldn't even bother. Guess there are others who only like vanilla!
Have a beautiful indigo Monday morning........Sarah

My favorite ice cram is vanilla and when so many different flavors are before me and I order vanilla, I feel like such a bore! But you certainly are not (a bore) so I am in excellent company!!! ;)

Liz@ HomeandGardeningWithLiz said...

Ahh...Indigo Buntings! I used to see them here but it's been a long time.
The three stooges! Yikes! I hate to admit I watched them a lot as a kid...I'll wait to see this one when it's on cable!
I love plain vanilla ice cream too and many more flavors!
I hope your granddaughter is feeling much better!

Pam Kessler said...

Ice cream seems pointless if you take away the sugar, but I'll trust you on that. Hope you had a fantastic weekend.

Gypsy Heart said...

I could eat Ice Cream allll the time! Just cannot buy it for that very reason although I must try this sugar free version. :)

Hope you have a wonderful week ~

Vanilla ice cream is the best because you can add all kinds of good stuff on time of it. ;-)

Nellie said...

Well, now. 'Twould be a real "feat" for me to click MY heels together!:) Everybody would be rolling on the floor!:)

The Indigo Bunting was once Country Girl's favorite bird. I can't remember that we have ever seen them here where we live, but actually spotted one in the "green space" around the school where I taught when we were on a nature walk.

It is dangerous to have even sugar free ice cream around here.:)

You never fail to give me a reason to smile, Diana. Thank you!

xo Nellie

I can't imagine going to see THAT movie. Oye Vey.

I love indigo too. And ice cream. I have discovered Stonyfield's organic frozen yogurt. Only 100 calories in a half-cup, zero fat! It tastes just like ice cream, it does not have that yogurt tang that I do not like. I am not sure about the sugar, but at only 100 calories it can't have much. - Lana

what a gorgeous bird!!! the color really is beautiful. we had bluebirds nesting in our woods this yr..I loved seeing them.
and BTW, ice cream with chocolate syrup is my true downfall.

Hi Darling! "I" is also for incredible, and that is YOU. :-)

I'm avoiding sugar, too -- it's amazing how many things sugar pops up in, things like tomatoes for instance. Wonder when they'll invent a reduced sugar tomato?

Sweet Cheeks looks so TALL in that picture... oh my. Why do they grow so fast?

Love -- Cass

Diana,
I can't eat sugar right now either. I didn't know Breyers had sugar free, yaaaay! I love the color Indigo too. I don't have anything in my house with that color, but whenever I see something, I still have to buy it.
I'm still crossing my fingers for the giveaway.

Your posts always make me smile! No sugar? That, I did not know. I would feel so much better if I adopted that same habit (my aching joints would appreciate it) - but I unfortunately picked up the same habit as that of my grandmother and "need" to have something sweet after every meal, including breakfast! (OY!)

Oh, Sweet Cheeks please pick me!
I clicked my heels together but one of my stiletto heels snapped and then I snapped my suspenders. This is a "g" rated blog so I will stop there. However, I really need to win, a win would go a long way to heal my broken *** . I mean my broken heart.

'I' like your creativity with the alphabet. The husband and I along with another couple go out to eat once a month going to restaurant that begins with each letter of the alphabet.

Last month was our turn to pick and we had the letter I. Sad to say we had nothing to choose from so we cheated and went to a Mexican place called, "Aye Carumba"

It sounded good and we all got a good laugh.

Somehow I never thought you'd be an all vanilla girl? I think I've missed a few of your letter posts (and they have been so fun) so I'd better go get caught up.

Why does everything have to taste so good that isn't good for you?!
