WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR FRIEND LAURIE-WHERE THE SPRUCE TREES GROW

I have followed
Laurie
since she started blogging,
I think.
Her first blog, as many of you will remember,
was called
In My Dreams I See.

Laurie has had many
ups & downs over the years.
Many of you know her story,
that she had an accident at
a home she where she was working-
a brain injury.
A brain injury that affected
her eyesight---that most
important sense for an artist.

Her sight has gradually worsened
over the years,
along with a host of other problems
caused by the brain injury.

Now, sadly, her sight has been taken
from her AND to add insult
to injury (literally),
her blog disappeared.

She is back up and running-
of a sort-but is unable
to SEE the pictures
we post.

She will follow along as best she can.
Please Please Please
pop by her blog and
cover her with
BLOGGER LOVE.
She will appreciate it
and you will be glad you did it.

The link is:
Where The Spruce Trees Grow

And, if you are so inclined,
say a little prayer that she
is able to deal with this
adjustment in her life.

Thank you all so much!
I will be back in a day or so
with the results of
Pick Your Favorite Christmas Table.

I have just visited Lovely Laurie's blog and added my name as a follower. She has been added to the prayer list (which seems to grow exponentially).

I have become very irregular in blog. Now when you have written about her, I remember. I also used to follow her blog. For a long time I didn't get any update from her. Thanks a lot that you have found her.
You are an angel.
Love hugs!

Thank you, Diana, for letting me know Laurie's new blog address. I have already gone there and left a comment for her. I tried to contact her earlier and couldn't find her blog. She is such a sweet lady and I feel badly for her. You are a gem for connecting people with her blog.

You are just the sweetest thing! You are always thinking of others! Thank you for sharing this post. I had never visited Laurie's blog but just went over and left a comment. I hope it will bring a smile to her face. Life can be so hard sometimes...I am working really hard myself to take things more in stride and to be (more) thankful for each and every blessing of each and every day! And you are definitely a blessing to those of us who read your blog.

Nice your friend is able to post once again. Over the years so many have disappeared and it makes us wonder why happened. At least in your case you have found out. I will pop over to say hello.

Oh my, what a lot for one person to bear. Especially as her eyes were so important to her art. That is one of my worst fears, losing my eyesight. I'm so sorry she's going through this and will pop by.

Hi Diana, I have always loved Laurie's blog. She has an amazing way of telling stories. I too had wondered where she could be. She did occasionally drop by my blog and comment. Some times life is so very hard and seems so totally unfair too. We just have to keep plugging and plugging along. I am starting to feel kind of wore out now...you know just when you think"What more?"oh let me tell you, there's always more. I am counting on next year being an awesome year. You know you are always in my heart and prayers. Blessings to you and the family. Love you, xoxo, Susie

Hello dear friend. I'm so sorry for this wonderful lady, my goodness how sad can it be.
I am going to pray with my group next week and I will start doing it on my own right now.
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. We were in Miami for the birth of another baby grandgirl from daughter Alexandra. I posted it last week.
Keep well and have a happy holiday month.

I love Laurie's blog and her art is exquisite and such a role model for me. She, herself, is -- really adapting to some challenging situations with apparent grace. I've been off blog a few days so I didn't realize she'd lost her blog too. Glad it's back. I'll pop over, though she'll probably show up here in my feed!

I just commented, in her blog.... Hoping she would know that she does not have to comment. The lady before me, said this, and I agreed.

And I was thinking of doing similar... On my blog... Asking if people would go and made a supportive comment...

You are the one who helped her set up a new blog I believe. Of course you did.

I remember the details, of how she got the injury. And it had my blood boiling!!!!! Those people should have been sued!!!

Enough....
