Oh No!
The time has come!
The time is now!
The hair is gone!
I can't say how!
It was here before-
But it went away.
My "baby" is gone.
He's a big boy today!
(apologies to the book Marvin K. Mooney)
BIG BOY E
BEFORE:
Five Months
Fast forward:
After:
FIVE YEARS
He said he would get his haircut if he could get
A MOHAWK!
This works for Mom & Boy!
Mom might have shed a few tears when they cut off the curls last weekend.
I might have joined her with a sniffle myself.
AND for your morning viewing pleasure
here is a
WALMART SANTA
with a mohawk!
I don't think Big Boy E's Mom is
gonna let him do that!
Lots going on here-
Working on a project that I hope to share
by the end of the week!
Have a great Monday.

What is it with little boys and mohawks. My DIL's little one always wants one and what is funny is that when he draws pictures of himself he always sticks a point on his head kind of like your santa, ha ha. Currently he has NO mohawk since some halloween gum got stuck in his hair and being a HE man, rather than try to get the gum out, my son just gave him a close buzz.
Your little one is adorable in both pictures..those eyes! He's so photogenic. They all are! : )
now thats a mohawk i can live with ...the top not the bottom. what a cutie pie. my 8 year old always asks for a mohawk. why???
Hi Diana! Oh, look at those pretty little curls but those eyes! He's a handsome little man! Ha ha about the mohawk! I would much prefer this kind too. He does look so grownup with his new haircut. Sniffle sniffle, they do grow up fast!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Diana, Those soft curls , gone. I know he's growing up with a new hair-cut. I would have cried too. Hope you are feeling well today. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Little boys do look more grown up when they get that first hair cut. I remember when my grandsons got theirs. They do grow up right before our eyes, don't they!
This is so precious! I remember when our son did that!
Oh, he's so cute, Diana. I loved those curls on my little guy for as long as I could before having his hair cut. I love how my granddaughter's hair is all curly so even when she has gotten a trim, it is still curly.
He looks adorable both ways! and those eyes, oh my! It's so hard and at the same time so fun, to see them grow!
Well what a sweetie - I love his reddish hair (my daughter has the same color) and freckles. And that Santa - well................Hope you are feeling better.
Oh Diana the face of an angel, Big Boy E is ever so precious. My Grand Dane wears his hair long. It's dark brown and curly and honestly I don't understand how he gets away with the style in school. I imagine with Big Boy E saying no to him with those eyes is nearly impossible
yup, every Walmart Santa should adopt that hairdo!!!
Happy Monday, we"re cold with rain in Philly.
xoxo
He's so handsome! I love curls on little guys too! It's so difficult to cut it off, but they do get a mind of their own! He's growing up way too fast!
oh my gosh what a beautiful child, he is such a sweet heart, curls or no curls,
did you take that photo of that Santa? thats just wrong on so many levels, he should be fired from Santa union!! lol,
He looks cute with his new hair cut! Don't let him see that Santa!
What a cutie! It's always a shock when little boy curls are cut off, and a big boy emerges. Sally
Awwww..........he's so cute! My husband needs to cut our sons hair today. He does a good job so we don't have to take him to the barber.
That Santa is quite a sight, yes indeed. Your boy is a cutie pie, with or without curls.
Oh my, where has the time gone? He gets cuter every year...love that boy.
Well, he is still a cutie, curls or not! Our grandson hasn't reached the point of wanting his curls cut, though his hair is shorter than it was. He shed tears once when his dad cut it too short, so now goes to JCPenney for his hair cuts. xo Nellie
He's cute either way and oh my those eyes and lashes!
What a cutie pie, just look that those eyes and oh so stylish do! He will be a heart breaker when he grows up!! The Walmart santa, not so much!!!
That is one beautiful boy! You're freakin' me out with these Walmart people! Crazy lady in there taking pics of these people just doing their thang! LOL!!
When my boys got their first hair cuts, I made my husband take them because I knew I would cry. You've got a cute little rebel there!
Oh I remember those sweet locks from my little boys too. Your little guy is so handsome that you hardly notice those missing curls though. And that store Santa, he's WILD LOOKING
Such a handsome little boy. I'm guessing that beautiful hair is going to be covered up with a winter hat now too! Such a crazy early winter we are having!
He is growing entirely to fast. Don't you wish that you could keep them littler longer. My oldest grandson has curly hair and the only way to get rid of his is cut it really short. The boys got the curls. Santa and his mohawk looks wild. He is so cute. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
Oh my what a cutie patootie Diana...will for sure be a heartbreaker!
XO Barbara
Ha......... so funny Nana..
Hope you have a good one !!
hugs,Patty
Happy Monday. He looks precious in both photos; it's always hard to cut those pretty curls, though.
Have a good afternoon and thanks for the kind comment on the photo of the local park. I took that thru the car window....now I see that the bridge is "leaning!"
Oh, I remember that first haircut so well - bye bye curls! 30+ years later he's all about a buzz cut, but I remember! What a darling little guy you have.
That precious face could own any hair cut!!!
Big Boy is certainly a cutie and he looks so good with his hair cut. I certainly hope that isn't the Santa in the store, just someone shopping.
He looks terrible.
Have a great day and glad your feeling better.
Mary
How time flies! But please....not a mohawk! heehee! Have fun! Hugs, Diane
Bless his heart. I actually like his new hair cut. He's such a handsome little guy. God bless and enjoy the rest of your evening... :)
Big Boy E is Cuteness +++ Watch for your mail on Wednesday.....have a sweet day!!! How bout them Packers, huh???
Louise
He's a cutie with curls or with a mohawk! Doesn't matter...with that face & those eyes...too darn cute!
OMGee! Such a cutie ~ and growing so quickly. They all do though, don't they?
Hope you're feeling good today!
xo
Pat
Hi Diana, oh he is so cute and I love his new hair cut!! I can understand the sadness cutting off the curls. They grow up so fast don't they?
The Mohawk Santa may not be able to get down the chimney with that hair do!! LOL
Have fun with your project!!
XOXO
OMG. Traumatic for everyone. He still beautiful.I know, boys aren't supposed to be beautiful. He's gorgeous! You don't have to tell him I said so. Walmart makes me want to throw up.
It all goes by way to quickly, doesn't it? He's adorable with or without the curls...oh your daughter has a heartbreaker on her hands for sure! :)
What a cute, CUTE little boy! And the WalMart Santa! rofl !!!!!
What a cutie pie!
He is adorable, Diana. And very grown up looking! Time goes too fast. I like his new hair...I wonder if I could pull that off? :)
Hi Diana,
Big Boy E is too adorable and all your grands have such beautiful eyes. Love the mohawk glad he did not opt for the walmart santa mohawk lol!
Good luck and have fun with your project. I know it will be gorgeous. I cannot wait to see.
Kris
My goodness he is getting so big and so handsome. What is it with boys and mohawks? xo Laura
Love him every day as they grow up much too fast. He will give the girls fits later on.
He's a cutie!....not Santa....Big Boy E!!
What a handsome boy! Boys sometimes are fussier than girls about their hair... and then there's that Santa! Ho ho Holey Moley!
Such a beautiful little boy...and I've been cryin' for years and years over little boys I love getting their first hair cut.
My little brother..my little boy...my 3 little grandboys....will it ever stop ?? Got a little great=grandboy but it will be awhile before his mama has his curls cut off...
meant to add that i am also working on a project and i am willing to bet everything i own that YOURS will be better than MINE...!! We just may have to have a contest with voters....hahhhaaa....NOT !!
OMG what a gorgeous child!
A happy birthday to him! He is a doll!!! And I know the feeling...we chopped my sons curls off before school this year and it was vey emotional!!! Love the mohawk!!! Nicole xo
What a cutie with his new haircut. Can't say the same for the Walmart Santa's Mohawk!
~Cindy
Oh he is so adorable and yes, now he looks like a 'big boy' now!
Blessings,
Gert
He's adorable either way! I would think that tomahawk haircut could scare some kids big time!
Diana,
Big Boy looks a lot like my nephew when he was little with that blonde curly hair. He sure has grown, hasn't he? And he is starting to have his own little personality getting the Mohawk and all. He will still be your little boy, Diana, for a very long time. :~)
love,
~Sheri
Oh Diana, he is such a cutie! Why is it so sad for us mama's to have our child's hair cut?? I remember the first time my son had his hair cut... and the sad part is I forgot to get a lock of his hair!
That picture.... there are no words. Have a great week!
NNNNOOOOOO!!! Beautiful blonde curls should never be cut off. Oh no. On another note, we quote Marvin K. Mooney all the time at our house.
Santa is changing with the times and keeping up with the styles. :-)
What a precious photo! Why is it that curls are hard to part with?
My oldest daughter hardly had any hair, just grew a Mullet! I hated to cut it off for fear she would never grow hair, now she has a full, and I mean full head of hair, gorgeous.
I look forward to your project.
Blessings, Debbie
He is adorable with curls or without. Santa is definitely different :)
Oh, that first haircut is so emotional, especially lopping off the curls!
He is precious! And the mohawk is just fine!
Oh Diana....Isn't it bittersweet when the locks give way to clipped hair?
He's such a beautiful child...and growing so fast.
Love you.
Debbie
It's definitely a milestone moment when they cut off the baby curls, isn't it? He's such a cutie though! Love Big Boy E's mohawk!
