I am pretty private when it comes to
personal things.
I don't like to complain or even admit to myself
that life can throw me a curve sometimes.
I love this saying by Elizabeth Edwards.
I have a hard time adjusting my sails sometimes.
I don't like to think I am unable to do something
I have always done..
That being said,
I love this saying by Elizabeth Edwards.

I don't like to think I am unable to do something
I have always done..
That being said,
I didn't want to leave you all hanging
or thinking that things are worse than they are.
A few of you know that I was on an old
heavy duty anti-inflammatory for three years.
It is something I should have been on for about
2 months- but it worked when nothing else did.
Long story short
(as my dear daughter-in-law says and then
tells you the long version anyway-Lordy,
I love that girl!;>)
Anyway-I weaned off it over a period of
about 3 months.
That is good.
The bad part is that it absolutely
tore my stomach up.
tore my stomach up.
Think somach on fire
with nails scratching across it.
with nails scratching across it.
Yeah- That would be it!
Anyway,
I am on some meds that should work
in a few more days.
When I can concentrate on what I am doing
I will be back.
Bear with me.
Ya can't keep an old broad like me down long.
ps. I DID make it to Walmart
for a few minutes.
for a few minutes.
Yes.I.Did.
This is NOT the Walmart pharmacist that
dispensed my meds....but wouldn't he
tickle you?
Back soon.
Thanks for all your well wishes.

I always miss the most important posts. I am so sorry. Having a stomach hurting is not fun. I take two Nexium a day. I hope you feel much better soon. Darn pills can do harm. You know what I went through recently. I hope you are trying to behave and taking care of you. Hugs and prayers.
Diana,
I'm so glad to hear that all is well with you. I hope this medication does the trick. Thinking of my Diana tonight and saying a little prayer.
love,
~Sheri
Take care of yourself and we'll see you soon....hugs.....

That's a fabulous quote! Be well, Diana. Do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself, and we'll be here when you get back. Happy Thanksgiving!
Prayers of healing on you Diana....keep looking up.
Louise
I love that quote. It's one of my favorites. Hon, I wish I could have told you what they would do. I can't take aspirin or anti-inflammatories either. Tears your gut up. Take care of yourself.
Brenda
Hope you feel all better real soon!
hugs,
Cindy
Sorry I haven't been around lately. Trying to get a jump on the holidays. Will send an email regarding my two cents on the health issues and meds!!
Hoping your new meds work and you get better soon. Happy Thanksgiving. I like "to make a long story nauseating..."
Diana,
I have the Elizabeth Edwards quote on a wooden chalkboard that I purchased off an etsy seller. I for the past year have lived the realization of that quote, oh how I indenify with those words. I have been thinking about you and knew something was not right, but I didn't know it was a continuing problem. I wish you a speedy recovery and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
xo,
Vera
Here's hoping the new meds kick in real fast! Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Hope you are feeling much better real soon!
Love and prayers to you!
Judy
Can't keep a good girl down!
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
Sometimes rhe 'cure' is worse than the symptoms!
You may be down, but you're not out Diana. Feel better soon!
I'm sorry to hear that your stomach problems really didn't come from that coconut cream pie. :-)
My prayers are with you.
Take care and be well soon.
Come back when you are ready, we will be here.
Blessings, Debbie
Thinking of you Diana! Hope you feel better soon!
Praying for you to feel better soon my friend. OH MY GOODNESS!! What a mustache on that guy. LOL
I battle stomach ulcers and you have my deepest sympathy. When it's bad, the only thing I can eat is baked salmon and potato. I'm very good at whipping up that meal! There is something in the lining between the skin and meat of the potato that heals ulcers. I've forgotten what it is, but it works. No idea why the salmon will stay down but it does. I'll be thinking of you.
I'm sorry to hear of your health dilemma, but I have no doubt you will bounce back like a champ. In the meantime, you will be missed. Prayers for you, and I hope your Thanksgiving is perfect.
Oh my ... that mustache!
Sorry to hear about the medication problem. Hope you feel better soon.
Thinking of you and hope you are feeling strong for thanksgiving. You certainly have lots of prayer warriors in your corner!!!
Hi Diana! Oh, I'm sorry about your meds and pray you'll be better really soon. You're in my prayers.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Well I hope your tummy feels better soon. That's no fun at all. :-( I hope you'll be much better for Thanksgiving and can enjoy the day.
I do not have a blog but I read yours every day. I love it as it is so fun and interesting. Do hope you are feeling better soon!
C from Canada
Gotta love that mustache. We must be on the same wavelength. I wrote yesterday about how the medication I am on is taking away my short term memory and leaving me foggy. Unfortunately it is a necessary evil. I remember those days when I didn't have to take anything stronger than a tylenol. Ahhhh, youth. I am so sorry that you are going through this and I hope that you start feeling better very quickly. Know that I am thinking about you. xo Laura
Sorry to hear you are in pain and I truly hope that this new medication does the trick for you. Hunker down under a blanket with a good book and a cup of tea?? Hang in there!
I hope those new meds kick in soon, Diana. As someone with stomach issues I know that the pains you can get can be horrible and crippling.
Thank you for taking time to update us. I have a childhood friend who is going through the very same thing. I'm so sorry about the pain and I hope the meds help and that you feel better soon. Sending love to you.
Feel better, Diana! I know there is no way you can be kept down for too long. You've got too much spirit for that!
Diana, I was on some arthritis med for about that same length of time. Yes, I now have stomach problems....plus why did my dr. give them to me when she knew I was on those blood thinners at that time. Now I take a med for my stomach and cholesterol. Nothing else. Yes, my arthritis hurts like the dickens...but I will take a couple tylonals when I can't walk. I am going to be praying for you to be better soon and be brand new. Love you, Susie
I am so sorry to hear of this trouble and pray the new med will work its magic on you. (My ex-husband, daughter, son in law, and niece are pharmacists. None of them look like that! I'll have to show them this picture. They'll get a laugh out of him for sure.)
Feel better soon!
Diana, no matter how bad you feel you always manage to make us smile! I hope that you recover soon and will be back to your self in no time.
In the meantime we will miss you.
hugs
Sissie
Yes, meds are good, they cure one thing and cause problems somewhere else. I pray you'll be well and back soon,Diana.
Hugs to you,Sylvia
It sounds like you are the right path to getting straightened out. I sure hope you don't have the pain and that you feel better soon. Try to take it easy this week and rest! Have a Happy Thanksgiving my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
Take care Diana and feel better soon!
Big Hugs to You,
Julie
Praying you feel better soon! And that pharmacist has quite the mustache!
Diana, that is what happened to me this past summer and I ended up in the hospital for two weeks! Believe me when I say I feel your pain and am so sorry that you are going through this at this time. Praying for your complete healing and that you are getting all the rest and care and everything needed to bring you up to speed. xoxoxo Connie
Diana I hope you feel better real soon. Medications can be life savers but they can also make us sick when we have to readjust our sails.
Hi Diana, So glad you will be on the mend. I had this happen to me from an antibiotic I was allergic too. Not fun at all. So hope the new meds will help you and you feel better soon. Take care and just rest up.
I emailed you not knowing you posted this. I did not get your follow by email yet. They are always so late!!
Big Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving!
xo
Oh I hope you get to feeling better! I totally understand the change in medication, I too have been adjusting to some changes lately. They tell me it takes 6-8 weeks for a new medication to get in your system and level off. In the meantime, my body is going crazy (really, that is what it feels like! sometimes!). Please keep is "in the know" and hope you are better soon!
Anyone who reads here, knows you are the type of person, who would have a difficult time "trimming her sails"....
Glad you are coming along. But sorry that the "process" is such a hard thing.
Hugs...
Tessa~
Good Morning Diana, I do hope that your new medication starts working fast and that it does the trick and cures your stomach problems. As for the pharmacist, he would look better is one of those little flat straw hats from the 1920's and a bow tie, or a top hall and a outfit from Dickens. Maybe he has a part in a Christmas community play. The near by town has a group of choir students (all high school seniors) that dress up in Dickens style each year and sing carols for special events during the holidays. He would fit in perfectly. I wonder if he sings?
Happy Thanksgiving.
Connie :)
Good Monday Morning my friend. Glad you are doing better. Hugs. Have a great week ahead and enjoy the gang on Thanksgiving. Glad you will be feeling better for Thanksgiving.
Kris
I hope you feel better soon...we all miss you!
Oh that does sound awful...praying that those meds take effect stat. Tickle me? You don't mean in the literal sense I hope because I wouldn't be that close. =D
Get well girl! This is not the time of year to have your tummy on fire.
Get better soon! I know you can't be kept down for long. :) Get lots of rest and enjoy your Thanksgiving!!
Feel better soon...that sounds pretty miserable. I hope you'll be able to enjoy your Thanksgiving.
xoxo, T.
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been under the weather. That sounds awful! Were you on steroids? I've taken Prednisone many times in the past for my inflammatory bowel disease that sometimes flares up. It's about the only thing that gets it to stop. I've taken it for short durations of time though since it can be so dangerous. Now I know why!
wishing you a speedy healing... a natural probiotic woulld work wonders for you.. antbiotics kills all the friendly flora in the stomach lining and intestinal tract- hense the burning like fire you spoke of... asidolpholis - 8 billion miligrams 3 times a day. it does NOT interfere with medications bt the doc's also dont make a kick back off of it so its rare;y mentioned.
Sorry to hear that Di, take care of yourself! Xo
My dear sweet friend, please take care of yourself. I am glad that you know what's wrong and that they can fix it. These Dr.'s sometimes they just don't get it.
Wishing you a speedy recovery - take care my friend.
Hugs,
Mary
Diana, I will be lifting you up this week in prayer! I hope you get to feeling better soon and this medicine doesn't cause more harm than good. You still manage to end each post with a giggle and that is always way better than any dose of medicine.....Hahaha!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Amy
Oh no, doesn't sound like fun at all Diana, hoping and praying your meds get you back on track soon. These crazy meds thay give us, one never knows if it's better than what ails us, ya know. Good to hear from you, keep up updated .
Hugs,
Teresa
Do take care of yourself, Diana! I'm so sorry you are experiencing tummy troubles; that's no fun! Sending love and prayers your way for a speedy recovery! I might run from that pharmacist! As we all say, "only at Walmart!"
Take care of yourself, Diana. I hope you have a wonderful family Thanksgiving!
no fun to feel bad--feel better soon, diana! hope your thanksgiving is a good one:)
ooh did not know you were ailing and I sure hope you're feeling much better soon. I bet you were on Advil or something like it long term. Horrible on the stomach.. I don't take it anymore if I can help it.
If you feel well enough to go to Walmart I'm not going to be too worried about you. Hugs,
I've been thinking about you, Diana. Hope you are feeling better soon! Sure hope you don't get any meds filled at Walmart:)
I hope the pain subsides soon!!!! Get well, Friend. So glad you updated us.
Sorry to hear this....Sounds like a horrible way to diet! Those anti-inflamatorys are so hard on the stomach .....You take care of yourself, we'll all be here when you feel better!
Carol
