I'M BACK With Easy Peasy Oven BBQ Ribs

I'M BACK
Thought you were rid of me, did you?
Nah!  Not a chance!

Anyway,
I like easy rib-filling recipes
this time of year.
It can't get much easier than this.
Looky here~
Here's my simple recipe.
Mix together:
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic POWDER
1 tsp. hickory smoke salt*
*I don't always use the salt because
some in this family don't like it.

Rub 4 pounds cut up ribs with
above mixture.
Layer in heavy oven proof
roasting dish.
I put tinfoil between the layers
of ribs.
Bake at 300 degrees for 2-3 hours
(until meat is tender)
Just before serving:
Cover with about 2 cups BBQ sauce.
I use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
Place under broiler for 2-3 minutes
until browned and bubbly.

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes,
green beans and
baking powder biscuits
or cornbread.
Rib sticking good-
I promise.
I'm HAPPY.
Guess who's NOT happy?

Happy Eating-
Don't make a hog of yourself!

Bear with me a day or two as I get
around and catch up on your blogs.

It's good to have you back, Diana! Are you trying to fatten us up or what? Your rib recipe sounds and looks so yummy, I have never made ribs before, so I really want to try this. What kind of ribs do you use?

We love to grill ribs...but since I don't eat pork, the piggie will stay happy. Beef ribs are great to grill (and bigger! heehee). I'm happy to see you this morning! Take your time catching up! Have FUN! Sweet hugs!

That looks like a man pleasing meal. I personally don't eat pork, but the men around here are always in the mood for barbeque anything. All except Andrew, anyway. He's my vegetarian. We'll eat the garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. That pig would probably be happy with us. ;-)

I love ribs! There must be potato salad and peach cobbler, too. You'd better get busy, I'm coming over.

Looks so delicious! I have made ribs in the crock pot just adding barbecue sauce but I can't take the fat I guess - I get a stomach ache. Sometimes I do order them out and do ok - maybe it's the crock pot causing the problem for me. lol. poor piggy
