An Annie Sloan Chalk Paint BLUE Pumpkin? Surely You Jest!

What?
A Blue Pumpkin!
Yep-
Purty, huh?
It started out like this!
I mean, SERIOUSLY....
Who ever heard of a BLACK PUMPKIN?
No one- which is why I got them on close out
a few years ago for less than a dollar each.
I painted it with Annie Sloan Old White
and washed it with Aubusson Blue mixed with  Old White.
After that dried I dry-brushed it with a bit more white.
I added some vines and greens to the top stem..
Here she is-dressing up the gate leg table
that sits behind my love seat.
Kinda cute, huh?
Methinks I like BLUE and SILVER together.
 You think this is cute?
Wait'll you see what I did with THESE TWO orphans!
If you are very good and promise not to
BOO my BLUE PUMPKIN
I just might show you how cute these look
TOMORROW!

Very cute! I love all the unique pumpkins, but they are hard to find and expensive. Making your own is a good option!

How pretty those pumpkins are! I too painted some ugly looking gourds in White and now they even look elegant. I love white pumpkins, although there are none here in that color except for the classic orange tones with greens and specks. Honey thank you so much for your sweet and generous comments, you are one wonderful lady.

I am not sure if I like blue on a pumpkin. I am a fall person so fall colours are mine.

So I truly like the fall colours.

Sorry love but I see you have the
whole crowd love your blue.

So it is your pumkin. Ha.ha.

You do what you like.

That is too cute, Diana. The color is unique, and it goes nicely with your silver. I've been seeing a lot of white pumpkins out there lately, and bought one for my home. I'll be back to see what else you've been working on.

Oh, be sure to stop by and say Happy Birthday to Jess tomorrow!
