What?
A Blue Pumpkin!
Yep-
Purty, huh?
It started out like this!
I mean, SERIOUSLY....
Who ever heard of a BLACK PUMPKIN?
No one- which is why I got them on close out
a few years ago for less than a dollar each.
I painted it with Annie Sloan Old White
and washed it with Aubusson Blue mixed with Old White.
After that dried I dry-brushed it with a bit more white.
I added some vines and greens to the top stem..
Here she is-dressing up the gate leg table
that sits behind my love seat.
Kinda cute, huh?
Methinks I like BLUE and SILVER together.
You think this is cute?
Wait'll you see what I did with THESE TWO orphans!
If you are very good and promise not to
BOO my BLUE PUMPKIN
I just might show you how cute these look
TOMORROW!

Very cute! I love all the unique pumpkins, but they are hard to find and expensive. Making your own is a good option!
Very pretty - perfect color choice -

I LOVE it, Diana! I love it with the silver, too. I have been seeing bloggers painting pumpkins a lot this season and can't believe I didn't think to do it. I am definitely going to be hitting some clearance sales this year so I have some that I can paint.
Diana. You did an amazing job on that black pumpkin. It looks very regal sitting around your books and silver pieces. I can't wait to see the others and I am cheering over your talent..Happy Weekend..Judy
Wow! I really love that blue with your silver, Diana. It looks perfect in the vignette you've created. Very chic.
Love you.
It's fantastic, Diana! Love, love, LOVE it :) Hugs to you!
well I think its beautiful, but I don't like black ones, great buy for you though, can't wait to see what you do with the other two!
How pretty those pumpkins are! I too painted some ugly looking gourds in White and now they even look elegant. I love white pumpkins, although there are none here in that color except for the classic orange tones with greens and specks. Honey thank you so much for your sweet and generous comments, you are one wonderful lady.
xoxo

I am not sure if I like blue on a pumpkin. I am a fall person so fall colours are mine.
So I truly like the fall colours.

whole crowd love your blue.
So it is your pumkin. Ha.ha.
You do what you like.

That is too cute, Diana. The color is unique, and it goes nicely with your silver. I've been seeing a lot of white pumpkins out there lately, and bought one for my home. I'll be back to see what else you've been working on.
Oh, be sure to stop by and say Happy Birthday to Jess tomorrow!

I do like your blue pumpkin! It reminds me of those greyish blue Cinderella pumpkins I see in stores.
This is so pretty and creative! I love the way you layered the paint; it adds so much character to a once sad pumpkin!

OK, I was ready to be all skeptical about the blue guy, but he is pretty cute! I think I'm behind the times around here with my old orange and white ones. You're cutting edge, my friend!
Love it! I went on a painting rampage and painted all mine black and white (to match the kitchen decor) and blues, whites and greens for the rest of the house. Who says pumpkins have to stay orange? Love your pumpkin on that silver tray.
