A PRAYER REQUEST FOR TED---SUSIE'S HUSBAND (SHE JUNKS)

Thanks to all of you that are praying for
(or sending good thoughts and well wishes)
to

I wanted to give you an update
and ask for more prayers.
While we were down visiting my daughter,
Mimi, and her family for Thanksgiving
in Indiana,
MyHero and I drove about 20 minute south
to the hospital where Ted was a patient.
Isn't he just a sweet looking man?
This has been a long, arduous journey
involving lots of ups and downs.
Lots of 'scares' and anxiety producing incidents.

Today Ted had radiation.
Tomorrow at 3am (Wednesday)
Ted is undergoing a
BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT.
This is a very serious procedure
but it offers lots of hope for
remission and a cure.

Please keep them wrapped in your heart
and continue to pray
and/or send healing thought
and good wishes
their way.

Thank you all so much
for your outpouring
of love and caring.
I know Susie and Ted appreciate
each and every one of you.

I will fill you in when I hear from Susie.
Have a great rest of the week!

ps- I didn't forget about the
Pick Your Favorite Mother's Day Table.
I am waiting a few extra days so
everyone that wants to play along can do so.

That Stinking Easter Bunny!!!!!

Some of you know that I grew up
on a farm in Pennsylvania.
I grew up believing in
leprechauns and fairies...
Santa Claus
AND
The Easter Bunny.

When I was little my Father
told me that the Easter Bunny
left my basket under a
stump-and-post fence in the
back field.
Today I know that he was a
liar because EVERYONE
knows that the Easter bunny
sneaks into your house at night
and hides your basket.

When I was 5 my father told
me that he was going to meet the
Easter Bunny in the back field
after he spread the morning
load of manure-
YES- Manure!
Keep that in mind~

I wanted to go.
He said NO!
I was determined to see that bunny!
My dog, Lucky, wanted to
see him too.

I wanted to ride on the tractor with Dad.
He said NO!
I decided to follow along behind him
thinking he would take pity on me
and let me ride...I kept asking..
He kept saying NO!
Lucky walked doggedly
by my side.
(like how I worked in the word doggedly)?
It was about a quarter mile to the back field.
Every few feet my Father would
turn around and tell me to go home.
I would shake my head NO
and keep walking...so would Lucky.

We got to the place where he needed
to spread the manure.
GO HOME- I have to start the spreader!
GO HOME-
NO DEAL...
I wanted to see that stinking (;>) bunny!
GO HOME.
I kept walking.
He finally turned the spreader on.
I walked right along behind him..
step-by-step,
row-by-row.
Unfortunately, I do NOT have
a picture of THAT for your viewing
pleasure.

After he had spread the load of manure
he headed home.
I walked right along behind him,
manure covered and stinking
to high Heaven!

When we got home he told me
I was the stubbornest kid he
had ever met.
Hmmmpffffff!
I was NOT stubborn..
I was determined.
And as for Lucky?
Well, let's just say that was NOT
his lucky day.

Next year my
Easter basket was
right at on the
breakfast table...
Imagine that!

Moral~
Stubborn means one does not give up
even when presented with
unpleasant consequences.

Happy Easter-
I will be back to blogging
very soon.

BRINGING AN ALMOST DEAD GERANIUM BACK TO BLOOM IN AN HOUR

Is This Possible?
Can I take an almost
DEAD GERANIUM
and bring it back into
bloom in less than an hour?
Well,
They say a picture is worth
a thousand words.
See for yourself!
Here are the step-by-step
instructions.
Try this yourself and see what happens.
The plant started out like this.
As you can see there are a few
spindly, waxy looking leaves.
First you must cut them all back.
Save these-you may need them later.
Your plant will now look like this.

Next- Take a 1875 WATT
blow dryer.
Place it 7-1/2" from plant
and turn it on
HIGH HEAT.
Set your timer and
apply blow dryer for 47 -1/2 minutes.
After time is up
Add 1/2 cup water
Once again apply blow dryer
for an additional 9-3/4 minutes.
Make sure it is 2" from the plant.
If no green has appeared add
1/2 cup of filtered Spring water.
That should do it.
Stand back and gasp in awe.
Your plant should now look like this.
Within 5 more minutes
you will find that it has bloomed
and it should look like this.
What?
It didn't work for you?
Ummmmm.....sorry I mighta lied because
it is, after all,
APRIL FOOLS DAY!
Hope yours is happy and relatively
FOOL FREE!

I am still
ON BREAK
but wanted to give you an
April Fool's Day smile~
