SOMETHING SPECIAL Is Going On Around Here!

I don't know about you
but I have been REALLY busy!
I was going to post a list of all the running
I did this week but ....
EVERYONE is busy this time of year!

I will have some dance class pictures
for you and some
pre-school program pictures
in the next few days.

However, today I am working on
SOMETHING SPECIAL
for SOMEONE SPECIAL
Can you guess what it is?
Well, I have to have SOMETHING SPECIAL  to go with these!
And something REALLY SPECIAL to go with THESE!
I have some SPECIAL fabrics
that I have tucked away.
Yep!  This is a LABOR OF LOVE for
SOMEONE SPECIAL!

Want to know what ELSE is SPECIAL?
Do you like to drive around and look at
Christmas decorations around town?

We do, too!
Do you want to see
SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL?
It's a feast for the eyes!

No This is NOT MY HOUSE!
Thanks for asking.

Here's today's question.
a)Is the red house in front leaning to the left?
b) Is the house behind it leaning to the right?
c) Both A & B are correct.
d) I don't care! I want to see what that
crazy elf at your house is up to.

Someone special is going to have a wardrobe for that American Doll! What a treat! I wonder if my eyes and fingers could manage such small seams these days.

The houses? Well, I declare BOTH of them "off-kilter!"

Have a great Friday! xo Nellie

Ha Ha Diana that house with all the blow ups!!!!! I bet that is a traffic stopper for sure. Too funny. The special someone you are making the doll clothes for is going to love them. What a special gift and memory you are giving her. Love all the cute shoes you found. Happy sewing.

Nothing more special than handmade American Girl doll clothes... love your fabrics! Those particular decorations? Not so much...lol.. WOW, that's one crowded house.

My mother made Emma all sorts of beautiful American Girl doll outfits when she was in 3rd grade. They are now all safely tucked away. Josie has no interest in dolls...sigh. Have fun sewing. I really want to see that skating outfit! Those skates are absolutely adorable!!!

Woo, now that's a house that makes you want to poke yourself in the eye! Interesting look. : ) I love patterns for dolls although I am crap at patterns myself. For some reason I just can't get through them. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make, Diana. Maybe I will get inspired and try again!

What a happy memory for me Diana. Sewing and knitting doll clothes for my daughter. Where in the world did the time go!

ROFL! I once got myself into such trouble for even daring to comment on such decor. It was the first year I blogged. I must have lost fifty readers in one fell swoop. I'm pretty sure that there's a beatitude that reads this way: Blessed are the very busy for they shall collapse and find peace eventually.

Waiting to see the special thing you are going to make....

Those little doll ice skates are just the cutest, Diana! Someone is going to love all of those darling doll outfits. I still have a bunch of doll clothes that mom my made me many, many years ago. Are you SURE that isn't your house?? Sounds like those people need to spend more time and $$ fixing up their falling down house rather than on all of that tacky blow up stuff!!

That was one crazy picture - when I looked - they both were leaning - you were right!!! Sandie

How much fun making things for dolls. It's hard to make a dress for a truck. (Can you tell I have grandsons?) :)
As for that house, I'm just glad it isn't across the street from mine. :)

Oh, you're making dolls clothes! How fun! Can't wait to see them. They wouldn't be for a certain little Miss Sweet Cheeks! :)
Be a sweetie,

Ha, I know that is your house. You just don't want to claim it because it is so special. I think I see a spot that they missed. Thanks for the laugh. Now what is that naughty elf up to today? xo Laura

Looks like you're going to be very busy! I hope you'll share what you end up making. That house is hilarious! I think if they would spend their money on fixing the house instead of all of those blow-up decorations, they might have a decent house to live in. LOL!

That house is a hoot! They definitely have the Christmas spirit. I am running around too but still have quite a bit to do. Somehow it all gets done. If I don't get back I want to wish you and your family a blessed and beautiful Christmas!

Leena Milligan Lanteigne said...

Um, yeah, ok lol! Looks like the house around here that we call Inflatoland! I wonder if the house is leaning over from the weight of the decorations? Bet it's quite something to see at nigh all lit up! Hugs, Leena

Is someone getting an American Girl Doll. Last year I bought three. This year they are getting some new clothes. Wish I could make them. It's a busy fun time of the year. Don't overdo and forget to rest. I think most of my business is pretty much done. Have lots of getting together left. That's the fun part. Hope you and your family have a Blessed Holiday.

e) how many inflatables can someone fit on the porch alone? :) as far as the labor of love, you are so good at that.

joanne said...

d, of course! When my kiddles were younger we would drive to the 'rich' neighborhoods and look at their light displays, then we would 'award' the best one with a little note in their mailbox. I wonder if anyone kept those notes after all this time. Cheap fun eh.
