Staging Ruth's House- There's An Elephant In The Room

Okay-
Can you spot it?
The elephant!  Can you spot the elephant?
How about TWO of them-
Can you spot TWO of them?
Okay-then-smarty pants-
How about THREE of them-
Can you spot THREE of them?
Look close-there are at least
THREE ELEPHANTS in the room.
Here is the room when we
were using it for sorting things.
Yeah- It's a mess-we know it..
It didn't always look this way until we started
ripping things apart.
Can you see the wallpaper on the walls?
Abracadabra -loving the off-white paint that replaced it.
Out went 2 big pieces of furniture
and assorted other pieces.
We moved the bed to the wall on the left.
In front of the windows went a small stand.
The house has quite a feminine feel to it
so the goal is
to make one bedroom feel like a boy's room.
What boy wouldn't love this sweet little dog?
The bedrooms are all good sized.
This is the smallest one and is still good sized..
Bits and pieces
Oh- And did I happen to mention that
EVERY BEDROOM
has French doors into the closets?
Uh-huh
Don't you love that detail?
Looking like a boy's room now, isn't it?
More rooms coming up!
Y'all come back now and bring a paintbrush, will ya?

I love this room, it has a relaxed look to it. My favourite are the cushions on the bed and the painting on top of the bed. How wonderful to have those beautiful French doors in every room. They add such a flair!

Oh Diana.....thanks so much for sharing this......the room looks great....you did a wonderful job. The idea of having french doors into closets is too fabulous.

I seen the 3 elephants had to look twice as the big one threw me off.

Oh those french doors I love them. Real Classy. They are a pain to clean. My friend wanted long time ago to know if I could help her do house wrok as it was just so much for her. Oh mercy. Cleaning those glass doors. Not something I would want to do too many times.

Wow what a nice house.

Hi Diana,
Great transformation. The wall paper reminds me of a guest bedroom that I decorated many moons ago....back in my wallpaper days!
Love the look for a boy. And those French doors are wonderful.

Hi Di,
Finally had some time to say hi and let you know I am back from 5 months of taking care of my mom! It was too difficult to care for her and work full time, so I'm very glad my brother took mom to his house for a while. I spent hours catching up on your blog last night! Glad to see things are going well with you guys. The kids are getting so big and the baby is adorable. I love the 3 sisters cookie store. adorable. Your friend is very lucky to have you staging her home.
Ive missed you !

I think the neutral walls will appeal to a broader market... even though the wallpaper was cute! Was it difficult to remove? I am thinking of removing some in my dining room but a bit scared!!! I did get the three elephants! eventually!!!
