LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE

SweetCheeks and her sisters are NOT ALLOWED
to call anyone names.
However, SweetCheeks has a way of getting her
message across WITHOUT calling names.

SweetCheeks:  Nana!  SOME people tell lies!
Me:  Who told you a lie?
SCheeks:  Well, SOMEONE did.
She is still smiling telling me about it.
Me:Ummm...WHO lied to you?
My disgust is evident as I think about someone lying to this child.
She gives ME the stinky eye.
SCheeks:  YOU did, Nana.  It was YOU!
Me:  Me?  WHAT?  What did I lie to you about?

SCheeks:  Well, you said if I made a face like this
and someone hit me on the back my face would
FREEZE THIS WAY!
SCheeks:  SO - I made this face and Ria
pounded me on the back and my face
DIDN'T freeze that way so that means that
YOU LIED!
Me:  It was a JOKE, SweetCheeks!
SCheeks::  Well, it wasn't funny- It hurt when
Ria punched me in the back,
Me:  No- Not that part- I meant when I
TOLD YOU YOUR FACE WOULD FREEZE
THAT was a JOKE.
SCheeks!  Well, THAT wasn't funny either!!

(Hope that pout doesn't freeze)
I hate when my jokes
BACKFIRE on me.....
and WHY are my legs starting
to burn?!

Out of the mouths of babes - never know what they are going to say.
She is so darn cute, I would be hard pressed to ever get mad at her.
You are such a great nana.

Oh, I hated reading about your sweet friend suffering like she is. My friend is knocked out so she isn't feeling any pain, thank goodness!

Oh, that Sweet Cheeks....she's a mess and a half! I love reading posts about here....she 's destined to be an entertainer! I think we need to get her on the Ellen Show!

They do indeed remember every single thing we say and it comes back to bite us in the butt nearly every time. :)

Really the pout is worth a thoudsand words, or at least a hundred. Golly your going to have to make sure that little gal runs for office. We need those honest and true hearts to help us keep on track. They really do take us at our word.
Have a great week!
Blessings, Roxy

Funny! Reminded me of my grandson getting upset when his other grandmother told him she wanted "to put a bug in his ear."

Sounds like someone is getting awfully close to the "stake".I got one you could get away with! When I would lose a baby tooth, my mamma would say " Now, don't stick you tongue in that place and a gold tooth will grow in that place". There's no way she could get you on that one!

Just the other day the kids called Dan out about being dishonest and told him to his face- being dishonest is the same as lying! I was so proud!

That is so funny - my parents used it on me, I used it on mine, Kelly uses it on Andy - he doesn't believe it anymore! sandie
