You know,
I thought I did a post about
this before but I am
darned if I can find it
and somehow it quick posted
for a few minutes the other day..

Just call me blond...
or Diana- or-whatever suits your fancy.
If you read this before I apologize...
Ummmm...sorry!!!!

Ummmm...sorry!!!!
Here's the fabric-
Here's the original bench-
Purty, huh????
First I removed the seat
and recovered it with the above fabric.
Next I applied an applique from
Home Depot
to the back using wood glue.
This is not the exact applique but it is close.
After applying that I painted
the whole thing semi-gloss black.
After it was dry I used some
metallic buffer to highlight
the raised designs and the top of
the back.
Notice how the design looks like
Angel Wings?
I wonder if I sit on it I would
get MORE ANGELIC than
I already am!.....
Ummm....THAT was a joke.....
(trust me)
Someone told me last night
that I wasn't really a devil
because I had a halo sitting on
my horns.
I never heard that before...
did you?

did you?
Have a great Thursday!

So pretty, really does look like angel wings!
Blessings,
Cindy
(never heard that one before.)
So neat that you reworked that into such a lovely and useful little bench. Horns with a halo on them, hummmm.
That was a sweet idea to put the applique on the back and it does look like wings...your guardian angel chair! Nice work! xo wendy
What a beautiful redo, Diana! I love that gorgeous cherub fabric. Maybe you could use it as a time out chair for your Hero?!
Diana, The fabric is very nice. You made that old bench so much better than it was. I like it. Hope you are doing well after the leak.xoxo,Susie
So pretty! I love the fabric! You did a really nice job!
Good Afternoon Diana, I love the addition of the "halo wings". Cherubs are a favourite of mine, so I adore your fabric. The stool looks lovely.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Wow, What a great transformation! You did a great job on that little bench...Connie
Cute make over! Halo on your horns? I can see that 0};)
Oh c'mon, Diana, you know it would be nearly impossible for you to become *more* angelic than you already are! (oh wait. That little granddaughter got those fun and quirky genes from somewhere.) :-)
its beautiful! I don't think a halo would set will on horns,
Beautiful job Diana!
Hope you have a great day !
Lovely results, Diana! And - you are truly an angel at heart! xo Nellie
Great looking bench. love the fabric!
So glad you got the water leak taken care of! I missed ya!
The bench was purty ugly till ya worked some magic on it. The last touch of the metallic color on the vintage scroll made it just pop!!
Angel decor and such is so sweet it just adds a soft touch.
Blessings, Roxy
Well look at you!!!
Beautiful job Diana - love the metallic touch ( did the devil make you do that? )
Glad your WW ( water woes ) have been solved - not fun I know - been there
Big hugs,
Suzan
That is beautiful....you did a great job.
Jen
Gotta love that bench with the great fabric-very nice.
Gee, I only saw the horns so I must have missed the halo.
LOL
Love it!
I've used that expression many, many times. I tell my nieces their halo is held up by their horns all the time! LOL!!!
They are what holds your halo on...goofy girl. Love the bench. If you get tired of it, send it my way. Being a really good girl, I could use a throne. LOL
Seeing this sweet makeover reminds me that I have a sewing table chair that I've set aside. I plan on copying the chair you did for one of your granddaughters and pass it off as my own idea. Kidding! I'll copy it and give you credit for the genius.
Very angelic looking bench! Bautiful makeover.
Love the bench......no devil in you.....shame on them. (((((HUGS))))
you are an angel...no devil in you!
Diana, you did a great job on the bench - looks terrific!. I love the angel fabric, everything works well together. Great job.
Mary
I know my horny halo fits just right.
Yours must, too!
Love your throne.
xo, Tina
Very nice!
First time I've heard that one too!
I've never heard of a halo on your horns - but it sounds a bit like me!! I may need to spend some time in that chair!
Kelly
A twist on time-out in the naughty chair. Let us know if it works.
Love it Diana!! Great job!
I've never read it before, so it must be new ('cause I have read everything you have ever written in your entire life!). You did a great job on the transformation. The fabric is beautiful. Just don't squash the angels when you sit down.
Diana, Love what you did to that chair! Do you think that you might become more angelic by sitting on it? Have a wonderful afternoon my friend!
Noreen
Love your bench! What a difference! It doesn't hurt to try and see if sitting there would make you more Angelic. At least it would keep you out of trouble for a while. Wink, wink! xoxo
I think I have seen it before or something simular but it is a lovely chair and I don't mind seeing it twice.
Merle........
Really great transformation, Diana!
Sitting on something so pretty does make you an angel, I think you are anyway:)
Sorry! Did I leave my halo on your horns? I was playing ring toss Love the bench and you know I would love the cherub fabric! I the paint color and metallic details with the wooded applique are beatiful! Great job! Hugs, Leena
Love the bench..Did the devil make you do it??
gosh, that is a sweet bench and a job well done.
The horns keep the halo from ruining your hair-do.
Love the bench, Diana! Very pretty!
I have an answer to your comment on my post at my blog.

The bench turned out beautifully. You are definitely an angel in my book. Hugs, Ginger
LOVE IT. Is this not an old piano bench? I see these often and think about grabbing one but not at the prices I have seen. I'll wait for yard sale time. I love this fabric you chose.
Ahem.. now, after the dog, truck caption post... hehehe... maybe just a minute or two in your lovely chair would be good. :)
Tammy
