Whatever Floats Your Boat- Or Doesn't

We are traveling along
the
Mighty Mississippi..
Ya gotta love a river
that has 3 double letters in it..
don't you?

Anyway-
Some people go to look
at the beautiful expanse of water...

Some people go to look at the
leaves as they are changing..

And then there are
OTHERS~
SOME OTHERS
like to look at something
that they think it might be fun to own...
even if it is fog covered...
Uh-huh..We are just out of the
motel and I just want coffee...
but..
NOOOOOO...
FIRST we have to go to
the first marina we can find
to look at
this...

What?
What is it?

Ah...yes...
Safe-it is nothing we can
take home with us because
we have no way to transport it.
unlike THIS thing..
that followed us home...

Coffee-at last-
and a bit further up the road
we find
THIS!

Villa Louis..
Oh...My...
WHAT  A BEAUTY..
I am smitten...

We continue our drive
North and alongside the road
we see this...
They dug a hole for her and
it looks like they tried to fill it
with water so it would float...
and it failed to happen...
so here she sits.
I hear voices..
What?
No way, Hosea~
This is NOT coming home
with us either.
No- I do NOT want to remodel
it and live on it...
but ~
Thanks for the offer!

Come on, MyHero...
Time to leave the dream behind.

Sigh...
I TOLD YOU
not to
LOOK BACK
or you would turn into a
Pillar of Wood!

Well, at least you'll
look nice down by the dock!
your photo name

Diana, looks like you are enjoying your road trip with your hero! Neat photographs, I'm still chuckling over you not wanting to remodel that houseboat! Fun post!

LOL- you are going to have to get blinders for that man who seems to have a one track mind. Maybe a stop at the toy section in Walmart to pick up a tug boat for the tub might keep him satisfied. A captain's hat while bathing and playing with his dingy would make a great post, too...in case you run out of things to say.
But just in case he ever wins out on this boat thing, let him know that if he gets his boat, you get to sunbathe in a bikini on the front deck. That might stop him dead in his tracks...
ok- I'm stopping there. Tell Gilligan I said hi!

I stop in here every day, just to start out with a smile... : )
Looks like you are having fun... but "seriously" :) wouldn't that big old thing look great parked out in front of your place?? : ) & wouldn't Sweet Cheeks have big adventures on that ???

If SHE can figure it out.......... said...

You should buy that big old yacht. You could live in it while you fix it up....OR you could put the RV on a raft instead.

P.S. Tell Dad that the old boat was a Towboat that sank in 1985 after being torn up by ice.

Can't you just row her home? Sounds like you are having a great time. I love Fall get aways. There are 3 big boats in the town next to us that they grounded and turned into houses. Very...Interesting.

I just love it Diana! Now here's one for you...My Mom used to work at the Villa Louis as a tour guide...at the time they were living about 30 miles from Prairie Du Chien.
It was fun to go see her in costume!

Are you SURE you don't want to live in that haunted land locked boat, Diana? I can just picture you in it now! Sounds like your Hero and my hubby are two peas in a pod, he's always looking for something goofy to buy!!!

Looks like a fun trip, Diana. I would have no desire to live in a houseboat either.
