TAKING A BREAK.......AND WHERE IS NANA GOING?

Here, there & everywhere.
I am taking a brief
BREAK FROM BLOGGING.

I am spending some time with the kids
before they go back to school,
even if that one knocked me down
in the bouncy house every time
I stood up.

I am
visiting some kids that are
already in school,

and getting ready to take a
ROAD TRIP
with my girlfriend of 46 years!
Sandy-sister-by-choice-
She might look all nice and sweet
but don't let THAT fool you!!
We met when we were mere girls
and have stayed connected all these years
in spite of the fact that we have both
moved cross country several times.

Just to tell you what kind of sport she is-
I bought HER her wedding dress
on the way to HER wedding.
AND she wore it!
You can read that post here
Her mom was NOT happy having to
do alterations at the last hour.
Pfffftt...I knew her better than she knew herself.
Who else could pick out a wedding gown for you
except your best friend.
Don't know WHAT ever happened to her
other outfit.
Good Lord- a pants suit of all things!!!  lol
She has a new home in a new state
and I am going to
spend her husband's money
help her move a few things around
in her new house.

Just call us Thelma & Louise
without the bad luck
and we aren't planning on driving off
any cliffs.

I will be back before you know it
with stories and pictures.

Have a wonderful few time while I am gone!!!

Love all you peeps!

One last thing--
I lost my blog list and had to rebuild it.
IF you don't see your name on my sidebar
and want it added
please let me know.
I apologize if I missed your name
on my list of 800+ blogs
(yes-I am nuts-thanks for asking).....
your photo name

I remember the story about your friend Sandy! What a blessing to have such long time friends and someone to help spend money! What could be better? Have fun. You are allowed a little naughtiness, but not the Thelma and Louise kind of naughty! Have a super time! xoxo

And every one of your kids are adorable! Lucky to have you as their Nana.

Oh I hope that you have a TERRIFIC trip - enjoy those grand kids - they will only be young once and they will grow up so fast.

I went back and reread the story of Sandy - I do remember it and your brother was gone for two years.

It was a beautiful wedding dress and so is your friend!

I love that story, and a true one too about your dearest Sister friend and the wedding gown. Pant Suit...no. Just no. :-)

I have a friend like that. I love her like a sister..even like a daughter as I would have been her 14 yr old mama if I had been her mana!

You two have a blast...enough to make you smile for YEARS afterward, and I can't wait t hear about it.

I also wasn't going to buy a new outfit for my wedding. But my mom and a girlfriend went out the day before and got me a beautiful beige silk and satin set (short box-pleated skirt and sequined blouse). I wore it beautifully that day and then on many many occasions afterward. I absolutely adored it. Like the marriage, it eventually wore it. But, also like the marriage, it saw many joyful times <3 Thanks for bringing back that memory <3

I took a wild T&L trip with my bestie for fifty years a few years ago...what a blast! We decided to act up in Texas (her home state) because her husband had been around for 30 years...Ron and I had only been married a few months and we didn't think he could handle us!

Have a safe trip!
