I know many of you
are just like me!
You think you can do it ALL.
You think you can
make the coffee,
drink the coffee,
wash the coffee cup,
wash the laundry,
dry the laundry,
fold the clothes and
put them away.
I think I can do all that...
ALL the time.
Now, add in MOVING,
a sprained thumb, wrist,
and upper arm.
Add in a home we are leaving
that will need to be cleaned
top to bottom,
and things that need to be finished
in the
NEW PLACE.
Add in purging and packing
and hard decisions.
I can do ALL that,
BUT........
I have to take a break from
blogging
until after I get moved.
We are moving at the end of March.
After that,
I PROMISE
to come back and share
the new place with you.
Befores AND Afters!
Here is just a sneak peek
at the far end of the kitchen.
Fridge was not in yet
but was delivered this week.
A counter depth SS--
My son orchestrated all this work
while we were gone.
Color on walls is
Irish Mist-Cabinetry is Dove White
Counter top is Quartz.
Backsplash is white subway tile.
Microwave can also be used as
an oven or hot air fryer.
Lots more to show....
So---I promise to come back
with room by room makeovers
as I go along.
Please bear with me...
and pray I don't kill anyone
die during this move!
Thank you all so much
for being such faithful followers.

Completely understandable, dear Lady ~ We will be here when you are ready to come back.
Hugs ~
Oh no, I'm sorry you were hurt! Seems like we don't get away without something happening sometime.
Good for you taking a break; I've had to do it a lot lately also.
Love your new kitchen, girl. It's beautiful!
xoxo
No worries, Diana! You are doing what you need to do! Hope you have some help to get things done! xoxo
You are one busy gal right now -- of course, you must take a break from blogging! We'll be here when you get back! Have fun and try not to work TOO hard.
Remember, no one must die during moving...LOL I am new here...a few days agom Sandra sent me to see Bright Eyes post below. So I am just checking back. Good luck with moving...it is stressful.
Oh, sorry for the sprained thumb, wrist and upper arm!
I will miss you, but am so glad you are taking this blog break! You just have to let some things go, and not get too run down. Your kitchen looks awesome! Can't wait for your return and all the pictures!
A break well deserved. I know you think you are super woman...lol
I wished I lived close, so I could help. The kitchen looks fab!
Take a big breath. xoxo
I so understand. Moving four years ago took every bit of energy I had. Rest when you can. ❤️
I agree with you moving is hard especially to decide what you are taking and what you are not. We will all be here when you get back. That is how much you are loved. Take care Hugs and prayers.
You do what you have to do right now. You need a break. I know what it's like moving and major purging.
We'll be here! If you can fit it in take a deep breath.
Cindy
Oh, I totally understand. Right now as I'm searching for places in So Cal it doesn't leave much time for all the other things I like to do. I've been giving stuff away as well, and today was tiring. I love your kitchen, Diana, and you know what? That is the exact same floor plan as my kitchen, only I have oak cabinets and white tile countertops. But same floor plan. I like the flooring a lot. Can't wait to see more. : )

ps.....I'm so sorry you got a sprained thumb, wrist, and arm, oh my. I hope you feel better and heal nicely. : )
What an amazing transformation! So beautiful. Now just relax and take it one day at a time, and let the guys do the hard stuff. Perhaps you need to leave some things in storage until you have time to go through them, and just move in the things you really really know you want to keep and need. I know that is not real practical, depending on how things were packed for storage, but still, Rome wasn't built in a day and you can take your time and do this right! Listen to me...I've just been through this, and wish we could've done it the way I'm suggesting. Just don't strain yourself. Part of the reason I ended up having to have surgery was because of our move. I just don't know when to say when and would rather do it myself...and now I am paying the price...so let the big boys do the lifting regardless of what you think...
Your son did a great job supervising those great changes to your new kitchen. I am so impressed with your microwave...sounds as if it can do everything.
As for you, please let others help you and don’t hesitate to ask for that help. I know you want to do it all, but you are right to know your limits. I don’t know how you’ve accomplished all that you have. Don’t fret over us; we’ll leave the light on.
We will still be here...take care of yourself! xoxo
Its looking so great. Yep sometimes we need a break when life is coming full force at us. Good luck with the move. The kitchen looks so great.
Hugs,
Kris
Does he work in Florida??? Love what is happening there. Love you, take a break and see you soon!
Sending hugs!Blessings!
Wish I could help you! Take a break and try to enjoy moving!
WISE, my Dear!!!!!!!
Gentle hugs...
I know your son has been wonnnnnderful. Doing all this. I do not refer to him.
But now, with the need to clean the old place, how about other kids/grands, for whom you have done so much, over the years.....? How about them coming around and pitching in...?
I would like to ask them directly.... Are you going to help?????? She who has done sooooooo much, for you???
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably a wise decision. I love the kitchen. Moving can be so overwhelming, so can purging and cleaning, too many decisions. I hope you can take the time and things will just fall into place. We'll be right here when you get back.
Love ya,
Dolly
Dear Diana, So many things happening in your life right now as well as an injured wrist, hand and fingers-oh my. I love your new kitchen-it's beautiful and seems so much like you. I will be praying that His grace will cover you the rest of the month and beyond. We will more than likely have to postpone our getting a class c-such a bummer, I was so excited. With all the craziness of the virus, media fear they are spreading and the impact on our retirement from stocks, don't think hubby will want to look at getting one.
Sending all my love and prayers your way!
Noreen
Totally understandable. You have to take care of yourself as well. I’m sure you are the last on your list. I love your kitchen. So exciting!i;Wish I could be there to help. You have done so much for so many. You shouldn’t have to go through all this by yourself... Much love
You need an assistant. or three.
I love the updated kitchen. Take your time; it will all get done in due time. You need to take care of yourself. XO
Hope to get a room by room tour of the new place once you've moved! Enjoy your break from blogging - I know you'll be busy!
Enjoy your break and the kitchen looks amazing. Clean, white and bright!
Beautiful BRIGHT kitchen. What a great improvement. You take care and take your time. Look forward to seeing you back soonest!
Diana—oh dear, I can’t even imagine doing all of that. But since you have to—take it slow and easy. One day at a time. And don’t be afraid to ask for help live the makeover in your kitchen. Just beautiful!!!
Blessings and look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Gert
Hence your blog title! Haha.
Enjoy your break.
Lisa
Ouch...sorry for the hurts. Already looking forward to the pictures. Take care of YOURSELF as you move...what a job. We will all be here when you get back. Wish I was closer...I'd offer to help.
LOL! Moving is so difficult and complicated, especially when remodeling is being done! I hope it is all done soon and you can be settled in! Hang in there!
What a beautiful kitchen. I can't wait to see the rest. You deserve a break and once you get moved and settled in I think you should get a relaxing vacation with bonus days if you don't kill anyone :)
Moving and remodeling are stressful events. Sorry you were injured, may you heal up nicely and soonly. It is wonderful that you are having such loving help with it all. Enjoy the move and your time off from blogging. Pretty soon you'll be sharing your lovely new home. Love, hugs ~ prayer ~ FlowerLady

Take care of yourself first. Can’t wait to see the new digs once it’s a Thang.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel they say......I have squinted my eyes before trying to see it though. LOL! See you when you get back! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I love the name of the color of your paint! So appropriate and will bring you luck with your move!! Hope your move goes as smooth as silk. If not, ingest wine. lots of it!! xx
The kitchen is beautiful! I think you are doing the right thing by taking a break, but we will miss you. I am sure you will have plenty to share with us when you are moved into the new place.
Hang in there! I pray your thumb heals. You're right. Sometimes we are just too occupied with "to do's" and we can't blog. God bless you, Queenie!
Try to hang in there and remember this too shall pass. It won't be long now until you are enjoying your new home. I love the kitchen. What a difference the color makes.
See you when you are settled!
Praying for you friend. Moving is a job. A lot of emotion and more.
Sending hugs,
Carla
Give yourself time. Moving is a stressful event on top of everything else in life. Your new kitchen looks fantastic! See you soon.
Kitchen looks great …
Do give yourself time, take a break and enjoy your move, it's so exciting.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
Moving is such an upheaval - good luck with it. And stay safe too. cheers
Understand completely! We are early 70's and find it hard to handle everything at our place....and we're not moving. Acreage is good exercise but it keeps us unbelievably busy at our age. Blessings to you and don't stress....if that is possible. Will be here waiting when you return to blog land. Patty McDonald
Lots of work ahead for you but I'm sure it will be worth it.
What a transformation in the kitchen. Love the white.
Hope all goes smoothly and see you when you're settled in.
No worries, Diana!! Will miss you and look forward to the befores and afters once it is all sorted!! Hugs!
I totally get it, Diana. Don't even think about answering me. I know the feeling, and still get a little unsettled thinking about how hard it all was. Take care of you.
I completely understand, I don't post as much either as we are so busy, and dh is still recuperating.
i look forward to you sharing your new home, take care and take time to rest too!,
Blessings,
Sue
Good luck and don't kill anyone. :)
Will miss you, but certainly understand the need to take time to get the things you need to do done. Take good care!
I've finally come back just in time to see you go off again! So far, son has done what looks to be a great job on your kitchen. Really looking forward to seeing more as you go forward. xoxoxo sugar.
I also am learning that I can't do it all! TOO many sick folks in my family and no time to do the chores around the house. I plan on spending today playing catch-up. LOVE the kitchen before and after picture. Can't wait to see the rest! Take the time you need and we'll be here when you return. Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!
The kitchen is looking fabulous, Diana. I love the sound of the color, Irish Mist. I’m influenced by the names of paint colors. Best of luck with all that involves the big move. I look forward to seeing the before and after pictures. God bless you!
Diana, my goodness, of course you must take a breath and recoop. Your injuries by themselves would be enough reason to but add in the renovations and moving and you must be overwhelmed. Your kitchen is looking so pretty and bright and can't wait, after you have taken enough time, to see what it all looks like.. Take care of yourself..xxoJudy
I will miss you, but I totally understand. Hope your aches and pains will get better soon. Just remember: it will all get done in due time:) Now just keep those nasty virus germs away...at least all the moving stuff will keep your mind off that. Love you, sweet lady!
I don't know how you do it anyway! You are amazing! I sure love the peek at that beautiful kitchen. Get settled in and use any stay at home time to get acclimated! Take care of yourself and yours!
You didn't say or at least i do not know if you are right handed or left so if your sprain is your dominant hand then just give up and wait for healing. But if it's your nondominant hand then you could try (lol) to help but really why. Just rest and give directions, etc. Enjoy your blog!
Hi Diana :) good luck with your move! We are in the same boat Closing the house at the end of March then moving about a month later! Take care of those wounds!!! xx
It looks fabulous and I can't wait for the full reveal. We'll see you when you settle and anticipate it all! Just keep your distance from people and do your best to stay healthy during the move!
Wishing you good luck on your move, and much happiness in your new home! I haven't been around much in blogland lately, but it's nice to stop by and see how you're doing. Kitchen looks great! Enjoy your break!
Oh believe me, girl....I understand it all too well. Stay safe and healthy as you move!!!!
My latest post....
Gentle hugs,
Stay safe,
🌱 🌷 🌱
Take the break you need. I hope you got to move with all this craziness in the world.
LOVE the redo!!!.. looking forward to your return - K
Moving is such hard work. I sure don't envy you!
The kitchen looks great. Looking forward to seeing the other rooms.
Just take your time and try to find some enjoyment each day.
Here's hoping all is well with the move and no one died . Lovely kitchen and the microwave hot air fryer convection oven is an absolute marvel! The condo will be a nice change; God's blessings on you and yours.
I had to go way back a bit to catch up! Ha! I totally loooooooooove your new kitchen at the condo! My favorite color for any place to live is -- white. Yep, I'm one of those minimalists. 🙃 I can hardly stand the dull green of our apartment -- they used the same color on the outside of the building as the inside of all the apartments. Bleah. I will be anxiously awaiting your photo tour! And I'll be praying about your sprained thumb/wrist/upper arm! Please be safe and stay well! Thinking of you, friend! ❤️
love that kitchen. What is that about the microwave? I hope you are all staying well and lets get this thing done with. I think the earth needed this .........maybe it can heal. It sure wont hurt anything and the animals are enjoying the peace.
Hugs Janice
Hello there girlfriend, just checking in on y'all to see how your'e doing. Hope all is well. So exciting to get to move into a new place and make it your own! Cant wait to see more pictures. Take care and stay safe!
I'm new on your blog but I must say I like it. And I just love your new kitchen. It'll be great working there, after your hand/arm gets good again. It won't be easy moving with that.
I do hope you'll have a great Easter, even if you have to stay inside?!
Best wishes from Sweden and Elzie
I hope everything goes smoothly with your move. Well, as smoothly as it can, considering. Your kitchen is beautiful and a lovely place to start each day. Hope you are not overdoing it and you can rest your poor arm. Such an emotional time and moving is such hard work, but once it is all over you can begin your new journey. Blessings and hugs xo Karen
Just checking bak in to see how you are doing! I hope all is well and you are getting settled in. Looking forward to a new post :-) Have a wonderful weekend and Easter!
Many blessings,
Jill
