JUST CAN'T DO IT! Taking A Break!

I know many of you
are just like me!

You think you can do it ALL.
You think you can
make the coffee,
drink the coffee,
wash the coffee cup,
wash the laundry,
dry the laundry,
fold the clothes and
put them away.

I think I can do all that...
ALL the time.
Now, add in MOVING,
a sprained thumb, wrist,
and upper arm.
Add in a home we are leaving
that will need to be cleaned
top to bottom,
and things that need to be finished
in the
NEW PLACE.
Add in purging and packing
and hard decisions.

I can do ALL that,
BUT........
I have to take a break from
blogging
until after I get moved.
We are moving at the end of March.
After that,
I PROMISE
to come back and share
the new place with you.
Befores AND Afters!

Here is just a sneak peek
at the far end of the kitchen.
Fridge was not in yet
but was delivered this week.
A counter depth SS--
My son orchestrated all this work
while we were gone.
Color on walls is
Irish Mist-Cabinetry is Dove White
Counter top is Quartz.
Backsplash is white subway tile.
Microwave can also be used as
an oven or hot air fryer.

Lots more to show....
So---I promise to come back
with room by room makeovers
as I go along.

Please bear with me...
and pray I don't kill anyone
die during this move!

Thank you all so much
for being such faithful followers.

Oh no, I'm sorry you were hurt! Seems like we don't get away without something happening sometime.

Good for you taking a break; I've had to do it a lot lately also.

Love your new kitchen, girl. It's beautiful!

Oh, I totally understand. Right now as I'm searching for places in So Cal it doesn't leave much time for all the other things I like to do. I've been giving stuff away as well, and today was tiring. I love your kitchen, Diana, and you know what? That is the exact same floor plan as my kitchen, only I have oak cabinets and white tile countertops. But same floor plan. I like the flooring a lot. Can't wait to see more. : )

What an amazing transformation! So beautiful. Now just relax and take it one day at a time, and let the guys do the hard stuff. Perhaps you need to leave some things in storage until you have time to go through them, and just move in the things you really really know you want to keep and need. I know that is not real practical, depending on how things were packed for storage, but still, Rome wasn't built in a day and you can take your time and do this right! Listen to me...I've just been through this, and wish we could've done it the way I'm suggesting. Just don't strain yourself. Part of the reason I ended up having to have surgery was because of our move. I just don't know when to say when and would rather do it myself...and now I am paying the price...so let the big boys do the lifting regardless of what you think...

Your son did a great job supervising those great changes to your new kitchen. I am so impressed with your microwave...sounds as if it can do everything.

As for you, please let others help you and don’t hesitate to ask for that help. I know you want to do it all, but you are right to know your limits. I don’t know how you’ve accomplished all that you have. Don’t fret over us; we’ll leave the light on.

We will still be here...take care of yourself! xoxo

I would like to ask them directly.... Are you going to help?????? She who has done sooooooo much, for you???

Probably a wise decision. I love the kitchen. Moving can be so overwhelming, so can purging and cleaning, too many decisions. I hope you can take the time and things will just fall into place. We'll be right here when you get back.

Dear Diana, So many things happening in your life right now as well as an injured wrist, hand and fingers-oh my. I love your new kitchen-it's beautiful and seems so much like you. I will be praying that His grace will cover you the rest of the month and beyond. We will more than likely have to postpone our getting a class c-such a bummer, I was so excited. With all the craziness of the virus, media fear they are spreading and the impact on our retirement from stocks, don't think hubby will want to look at getting one.
Sending all my love and prayers your way!

You didn't say or at least i do not know if you are right handed or left so if your sprain is your dominant hand then just give up and wait for healing. But if it's your nondominant hand then you could try (lol) to help but really why. Just rest and give directions, etc. Enjoy your blog!

I had to go way back a bit to catch up! Ha! I totally loooooooooove your new kitchen at the condo! My favorite color for any place to live is -- white. Yep, I'm one of those minimalists. 🙃 I can hardly stand the dull green of our apartment -- they used the same color on the outside of the building as the inside of all the apartments. Bleah. I will be anxiously awaiting your photo tour! And I'll be praying about your sprained thumb/wrist/upper arm! Please be safe and stay well! Thinking of you, friend! ❤️
