AND THE WINNER IS----BRIGHT EYES!

My daughter, Mimi,
IS NOT A PAGEANT MOM
at all.

So-
Bright Eyes had
NO HAIR PEOPLE
NO MAKEUP PEOPLE
NO EXPENSIVE DRESS
NO COACHING

She DID have
PERSONALITY
POISE
and
SHE IS FUNNY
(imagine that)

Mimi said that she had a
RUNNING COMMENTARY
while she was on stage.
As they introduced the other little girls-
Judge: And Sarah's favorite color is PINK.
Bright Eyes: No! MY favorite color is pink.

At two years old they call out your weight
(which is one reason I would NEVER be in a pageant-even at two years old)
Judge:  And Sophia weighs THIRTY POUNDS.
Bright Eyes-looking at her:    OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!

Psyching out the competition,
do you think?

Whatever she did.
SHE WON FIRST PLACE
in the
TWO YEAR OLD DIVISION.
Sorry for the quality-
It's a picture of a picture....

Hmmmn...
We may have a brand new
HONEY BOO-BOO
on our hands.

I told my daughter to
BE PREPARED TO DRESS UP
like Honey-Boo-Boo
and her mom.
I think a little pink number like
this might be nice,  right?
And that's all I'm gonna say 'bout that
although I could say a whole lot!

Have a great upcoming week!

Oh could you imagine walking across the stage and having someone call out your weight?!?! That's something that could lead to violence! -Jenn

How wonderful! She is a doll and I love her personality! She is a natural beauty; I can see why she won! She embodies what a pageant for two year olds should be. Congrats!

She is a trip! :) You know, if you just leave them alone...no make-up and all that pageant stuff, they are just so real. She is so beautiful! I guess she thought only 1 person could like pink ~ :) When my former s-i-l's mom came to visit, Abby got so upset because everyone called her Mimi. That was Jeff's family's name for her. Abby went home and told her parents it was not right 'cause my name was Mimi! :)

Have a blessed week my friend!

So sweet and she is cute too! I wonder why on earth the judges would even talk about weight when that has nothing to do with it and could be the start of a weight problem...HMMM...anyway, she is darling :)!!

Sorry to rain on the parade, but if Mimi is not at all a pageant mom, then why is bright eyes in a pageant? Hmmmm. As for Honey Boo Boo and her mom? All I can say is ewwwwww :(

NanaDiana said...

Well, she is a mom and she did enter her in a pageant but a 'pageant mom' is one that is all about 'the win'..all about beating everyone else out. She doesn't do all the things that lots of pageant moms do. There is no pressure on Anna to perform or win. No special hair or makeup work done, no false hairpieces, etc. Anna sees her cousins up on stage performing (dance) and she runs up on the stage every chance she gets. So, Anna will do it as long as it is fun, not stressful and she wants to do it. The minute it becomes a 'must do' or creates any anxiety that will be the end of it-and Mindy will 'retire' from the 'pageant mom' parade.

Some children are literally born to perform. They might not get the thrill, adrenaline rush, and confidence from sports but they find it performing. Hair and make up are arts, fashion is an art, commanding a stage is an art. When I was a kid I didn't connect with the mainstream activities but I found my own. I worked a pageant once and totally expected it to be like toddlers and tiaras. I saw one mom like that. The rest looked and acted like normal moms and a common sentiment was "I don't know why she wants to do this, but she does".

Stephen Andrew said...

Adorable!!! Congratulations to her! Now is the national anthem singer her sister or cousin? Such talent in your family!
