FINISH IT UP FRIDAY- 5 Random Things And Blocking A Blogger

I am still cleaning up my picture files.
They are looking better all the time.
Soooo...here we go....some
RANDOM PICTURES
to keep me on task.

Here are BigBoyE, CharlesInCharge
& Bright Eyes.
Looks like Ethan is the only one that got the
SMILE for the photo memo.
See that striped sweater Charlie as on?
Keep that in the back of your mind.
Their Dad's (Big J) favorite Christmas decoration
is every man's dream
(and every woman's nightmare)
It stays above ground for exactly 30 days
before it is deep-sixed to the basement
to wait for next year to roll around.
My daughter is a smart girl.
She knows how to pick her battles.
Every little girl needs
TWO PINK HATS.
Bright Eyes is no exception.
One for her solemn look and one for smiles.
I wanted to give a little belated Thank You
to my friend, Louise, Cards by Louise
She is just such a sweet lady
and keeps herself busy making cards.
SweetCheeks could not wait
until Thanksgiving was over
so she could eat the Hershey Bar.
I saved the Pilgrim and she
saved ate the candy.
Now---remember I told you to keep that
red & white striped sweater
stored in the back of your mind for later?
You can bring it forefront now.
This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE pictures
of SweetCheeks in
THE RED & WHITE STRIPED SWEATER.
The family had just cut
the Christmas tree down and she
was trudging along behind.
Upon hearing her yelling they turned around
and this is what they saw.
She was caught in the bushes
and didn't know how
to get out.
I laugh EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I see this picture.
SweetCheeks still DOES NOT think it is funny.

I think I am going to have to buy her a
SENSE OF HUMOR
for Christmas!

Have a great Friday.
I finished a lot of my projects yesterday
SOOOO I hope to take pictures of the
DINING ROOM REDO
and post them tomorrow.

edited to add:
Do you ever get those crummy comments
where there is tie-back to someone's blog
that you would NEVER promote in a
million years?
Did you know that you can block followers?
I just took 5 or 6 of them off.
Of course, your follower count goes down
but that doesn't bother me.
I never realized I could block them.
IF you want to know how and don't know
I can do a quick post about how to do it.

That's it- I'm off to eat ice cream
and watch soap operas like
Love Is A Many Splendored Thing.
~(is that even on anymore)~

Oh, I remember the bush eating SweetCheeks photo! Love that! You know I ALMOST bought a leg lamp for my husband this year. And then I came to my senses and nixed that idea!

Diana, You know what you and I talk about some times....your little ones are growing up !!! my gosh Big boy "E" is so sweet. I think one day when SC's own little girl will wear that sweater(it will last) she will think that photo is funny. :):) I also love that your family recycles clothing. My step-grandson wore a little aviator jacket when he was two and all the rest of the grandsons wore it at one time too. LOL Be blessed today , xoxo,Susie

Your daughter has more patience than I do - I don't think I could handle that lamp for more than a day! The picture of SweetCheeks made me laugh - I'm still smiling about that one. I don't know why they don't see the humor in the same things we do!!

Diana you never fail to make me laugh! I totally did not expect to see that infamous lamp! And your darling sweet cheeks caught in that bush is pretty funny too. (But don't tell her I said so) Bright eyes is darling in her pink hats...oh how I miss that age. What a fun post! Yes pleeeease let us know how to remove those crummy followers with the annoying comments. That would be very helpful!
Have a great day Diana followed by a wonderful weekend!!!

What a cute photo of the kids with Santa. Lucky the little one wasn't crying- that happens all too often! That is funny about the sweater and her run in with the bush! Darn that bush- how dare it get in the way!! As for the lamp.... he needs a "man cave" for it!! Gotta have a sense of humor- right? :)

Nellie said...

What a wonderful way to start my day, Diana! Never have I seen a lamp that resembled the Rockettes! Love the history of the red-striped sweater. Pink hats are quite in vogue if you are like Bright Eyes! I do believe Love Is A Many Splendored Thing bit the dust some time ago! Both you and I are far behind in the soap opera world. This resident elf needs to get cracking! xo Nellie

Love it when clothing is recycled to another 'cousin' and shows up in photos.

Funny! Poor Sweetcheeks! Bright eyes looks like she is raising her hand to ask Santa a question. Or pull his beard. HMMM I wonder if Santa has ever lost his beard to a baby with grabby hands.

Kathy @ Smile for no Reason said...

Your poor granddaughter getting stuck in the bushes. But, oh my goodness, I had a good chuckle. :)
Have a good weekend! xo

Kelly said...

Oh my goodness! That lamp! Your daughter has A LOT of patience to allow that in her house for the holiday season. I'm SO glad that my husband doesn't care about decorating. He lets me do my thing (for the most part).

Hi Diana,
I think the lamp is full of whimsy for the holidays and it is doable in short spurts right?!!!! Sweet Cheeks and her brush with the bush Oh my! Too funny. Have a great day my friend.

Well it is good to see that I'm not one of the bloggers you blocked, Diana!!! I just love the Christmas pic with the kiddos, they are just so darn cute! And poor SweetCheeks, let's just hope she doesn't laugh her head off when you are the one caught in the bushes:) Have a great day, hope you are feeling better! Oh, and that leg lamp? I would be tempted to cover the entire thing in glitter.........

A "someone" "after my own heart". -evil giggggles-

Diana,
Love all the photos of your sweet and precious Grands, Will SweetCheeks wear the red and white striped sweater after her brush with the branches? Love all the hats. Flying home looking through a sky mall I noticed a cordless leg lamp out this year! BTW Christmas story is a tradition in our family (my son started it) we loop play the movie all day Christmas. One Christmas we even went to a Chinese restaurant and had our own personal Duck scene with the waiters singing the Carole.
I adore your humor and your photos.
xoxo,
Vera

A major award! I think it's Italian. hahaha. Oh my, poor SweetCheeks. . .all tangled up in the brush. It must have been a traumatic experience for her. Your grands are beautiful, Diana. Every one. Happy Christmas to all! ~ Nancy

Oh, how I want that lamp! Merry Friday before Christmas to you!

Cheryl @ TFD said...

lol! I'm afraid that lamp would "accidentally" fall off the table and get broken if it were in my house!
That is a great shot of Sweet Cheeks all tangles up in the briars...good timing on that one!
Sweet pictures of all your adorable grands. And yes, I'd be happy if you would share the blogging tip. Have a fun day and weekend!

You crack me up! I'm trusting your sense of humor to be contagious because we certainly need an epidemic of it and soon. Or we could just use that 80%-off coupon for one that a commenter mentioned earlier! Hilariously great idea!

Hugs and happy gingerbread eating-- "Help! My leg! She's eating..." A gingerbread leg would never make a cute Christmas lamp...

The leg lamp!!! We have the "fragile" box ornament for our tree and when you open it up, there is the leg lamp inside and it even plays soundbites from the movie! Ha ha! Love the Santa pic! Such cuties! I had to giggle at the pic of SweetCheeks. Bless her heart. :)

Yes! In fact, I just removed a few yesterday myself.

Oh poor Sweet Cheeks! She really is hung up there. I would find it a little freaky myself.

The boys and their baby sister are so cute. Wonder if their mom will ever become a "Butta Finga." LOL!

I'm glad your daughter can pick her battles. I think we all learned today that if we are smart. Cute sweater story.
I remember love is a many splendored thing as a theme song in a movie? I didn't know it was a soap opera. If it's still on ,enjoy!

Yes, I have blocked many bloggers that solicit x-rated sites for years.

Diana, I absolutely LOVE that picture of SweetCheeks. Until you told us of the story, I would have just thought that she was trotting along in the woods picking out the perfect tree. I love her striped shirt. She looks like a sweet candy cane. Bright Eyes looks precious in her pink hat, and the picture of the family is wonderful. They will all look back and smile.

love,

How my son would love to have that lamp-the movie is his favourite Christmas one.
All the grand photos are sweet. Oh poor Sweet Cheeks-to be caught in the briars!
Yes, I would love to know how to block unwanted followers. One of mine is very offensive!

Kathy @ Creative Home Expressions said...

LOL, poor Sweet Cheeks! I think I would laugh every time I saw that picture, too, though, Diana! : ) My granddaughter seems to be similar in personality to Sweet Cheeks - she is quite a character already at 4 years old my granddaughter. She always has me laughing at what she says and does. Even though only one smiled in the picture to Santa that is a really cute picture. At least no one was crying!

Thank you for the shout out and thanks for the Hershey bar Pilgrim. Glad you liked him and Sweet Cheeks liked the Hershey bar. Yeah...my guy is put away till next Thanksgiving too minus the Hershey bar. (don't have any sweet cheeks to eat mine...:() Louise

In the almost 8 yrs of blogging, I have been blessed not to receive bad comments...one told me that WALLA wasn't a real word and I shouldn't use it...and I said, "please....get a life"...one told me "shame on you for using DAYUM in your recent post" and I said, "DAMN...believe I'll use DAYUM if'n I wanna"...one told me "I watch that witch riding the broom fly over your PRAYER LIST and wonder what God thinks of THAT"...( i had a halloween gadget once) and I said, "GOD has the best sense of humor EVER and, besides HE knows my heart.."
Someday I think I'll write a book about my years of blogs....hahhaa....
