Update from KRIS @ JUNK CHIC COTTAGE ON HER HUBBY, TERRY & ANOTHER SERIOUS PROBLEM

Yesterday you prayed for Terry here
Last night I got an update
from Kris on Terry's condition.

I just got home from the hospital and Terry is so much better tonight.  He showered, shaved and was able to eat a little bit today.  We took a nice romantic stroll around the halls tonight. LOL!  I think the collapsed bile duct was the problem since he is starting to do really well today after them opening that back up with the stent.  They said he may even come home tomorrow.  So that is encouraging.  He looked really good tonight.  Had lots of color in his face and has not had to take any pain meds all day.  It is amazing what havoc a bile duct closing can do to you.  Too crazy.  Just glad it is not turning out to be something worse.  The doctors are still cautiously optimistic but his surgeon acted pretty happy how he was doing today.

Now, we have another
SERIOUS PROBLEM ON OUR HANDS
and it is all YOUR fault.

Since so many of you commented on
WHAT A HUNK HE IS
his head has swollen so much that Kris is afraid
he will not be able to fit in the car
for the drive home.
I think a couple of you even prayed that
if you ever have a fire that
HE WOULD COME RESCUE YOU.
Too bad he is TAKEN girls
and I don't think
I would want to tangle with
that Kris if I were you!
just sayin......
(and you DID notice they took a romantic
stroll around the hospital hallway-
hope he had his gown tied up the back-
you know how those hall oglers are!;>)

Thanks so much for your prayers.
I know it gave Kris a lot of peace of mind
and I do believe in the power of prayer.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
I am feeling a bit better and headed
back to Mimi's house to help
with our little
BrightEyes and the boys.

Ha! I'm so glad that he is doing well. When I worked in an office, we had a fire scare in the building. It was not a big building (4 floors) but the entire fire dept of the city came out and they all looked like they walked right off one of those calendars. So cute. I think that the secretaries were trying to set the building on fire for the next month just so they would come back!!!

Diana, That is great news. I didn't want to mention his good looks while he was so sick. And besides Diana, you know you would be walking behind them in the hospital hallways LOL. Hope Mimi did well while you were home. I know she'll be happy your back. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie

Ha Ha Diana too funny and too cute. Ha ha after all the sweet comments on him being a hunk of a fireman I think they are going to have to go in now and reduce the swelling in his head LOL! Thank you my friend for this very wonderful prayer request. I am a really big believer in the power of prayer and this is exactly why.... It works! Thank you everyone for your sweet and kind well wishes and prayers. Blog land is a wonderful place. Thank you all. XXXXOOOOO

So glad he is better!!!!!

Yes, he is cute. But at my "olden" age, a man needs a gray beard, to turn my head. -grin-

-sigh- You have not had long enough to recover. But you knew I'd say that. :-)

I'm so relieved to hear that he is starting to improve! I follow Kris's blog and have been reading about this, but haven't had a chance to respond yet. I'm sure this situation has caused great concern for everyone and the not knowing what is wrong is the worst part. I will continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

So glad he's doing better. I had a blocked bile duct a few years ago that eventually led to the removal of my gall bladder. I remember the pain from that blocked duct, so I know just how bad that can feel.

That's great news, I'm so glad he's getting back on track. And uhm I was gonna comment on the hunk status and all, but as you said I didn t want to tangle with that Kris! She may look all sweet, soft and girlie but I bet she can throw and mad punch hahaha. They make such a perfectly adorable couple! You're a sweetie for keeping us updated Diana!

Glad Terry is feeling better. Several years ago my hubby had a stone in his bile duct and was in severe pain for days, 12 days in hospital! It's funny how something that seems so small and insignificant can cause so much problems! We must never take our health for granted! Glad you are feeling better as well. Have a nice Sunday.

I'm so happy to hear how well he is doing. In case of fire, anyone can rescue me, I won't be picky. Besides, I'm old so they would probably flip a coin to see who HAD to take the old lady out of the burning building. :)

What great news! Oh sure, the part about the bile duct not causing anymore pain was terrific, but I was really talking about the walk down the hall with a maybe-opened back ended gown.....now THAT is fabulous! Geezy peezy, how could it not be? Look at him! I hope you know this is in fun. I am soooo glad he's better and it will be wonderful when he can go home :D

We definitely know how painful bile duct problems can be! So glad to hear these prayers were answered and a solution was found so fast. I, too, was very good and refrained from further comment about your friend's fine husband. Wouldn't want to make matters worse. :)

Diana, I've been MIA for a long time (got a really sweet reason for that, which I will share whenever time allows), but I had to pop over and see if I could find an update on Terry. So glad to hear he is doing better and that the problem may have been discovered. As the wife of a retired fire captain, I have a soft spot in my heart for anyone in the fire department. Prayers continue for Terry and Kris.
