Aren't these gorgeous?
They look ALMOST as nice as my own do!
See for yourself!
I moved them last year.
Looks like there is
NO HOPE
here, huh?
Wait a minute...wait a minute!
What's that I see?
Can it be?
Yes! Yes it is!
One little ray of hope on an otherwise
DEAD ROSE BUSH!
I'm gonna save this baby.
I think I might need a little help.
Is there a Doctor in the house?
Traveling with my girls....
be around late today!

Looks like its going to make it! I use a product called Flower Tone, by Espoma. It's an organic product that helps build strong plants. My roses struggled to get going this year. I guess it was a harder winter than I realized!
Diana, Get your miracle-grow out..I thought the rose my daughter gave me was going to die and that's what saved it. Of course this spring it looks a little shaky still. but there are 3 big beautiful blooms on it. I have faith in you, your yard always looks nice in your pictures.xoxo,Susie
That little green sprout holds a whole lot of hope. Need rose help? You know who to call. :)
Looks like a ray of hope to me!
I lost my only Rose bush this past winter but it looks like you still have some hope with yours.
Keep hope alive !!!! Lol have a great day
That's exciting to see new growth on the rose bush. It might be growth from the root stock, which is sometimes a different rose. So if it looks different from your old rose, you'll know. That happened to me once, but it was pretty...just different. Good luck and keep the faith. Looking forward to seeing how it grows.
Ditto what Susie said- get the Miracle-gro out!
Ahh yes, it could be from the root stock. But a rose is a rose, right? ;) And maybe not. Come on little rose bush, you can do it!
Debbie
I hope you can save the rose! Fingers crossed for you.
It's always nice to see signs of hope in the garden. I have a feeling you'll have a beautiful rose in no time.
Blessings!

Oh yes, I've had that happen with a rose bush only I hadn't moved it. I was so sad because it was a favorite that pushed out blooms all season long. When I saw a sign of life, I wound up pruning all the dead wood away {it looked horrible anyway}. The bush eventually came back. Fingers crossed for yours, Diana!
I am looking for a new rose bush this year...love the pinks. Have a great day...hope the sun shines for you.
Hi Diana,
My roses are struggling to get going this year too. I think it is all this weird weather. Give them some time and they will bloom. They need a little more heat to really get going. Have fun with the girls.
Kris
Aww!What a little fighter that rose is. The new growth looks pretty healthy! It'll take it a good season to somewhat fill in but I think it's going to be a beautiful rose bush. :) Hope you're doing good. xo
We've been having unseasonably hot weather so my roses have finally bloomed in full.
Have a great day! I have hope for your rosebush, too.
I have a bush that did that and now I put coffee grounds and egg shells to help things along..I just saw buds on mine this morning! xo
LMHO..............
I think there's hope - coffee grounds
( so now you'll have to start making your own coffee my dear instead of zipping over to Starbucks )

Kay, let me tell you this about my experience with a rose bush. My mother in law bought me a rose bush as a house warming gift over 15 years ago. The blooms were a soft purple and quite beautiful. After a few years, there was one branch that had a completely different shape rose which was a deep burgundy color. WHAT?! I didn't like it nearly as well, and it wasn't in the greatest of places in my yard, so I just decided to dig it up and say goodbye.
It came back. I tried to get rid of it again. It came back. That puppy is full grown with tons of dark burgundy blooms even as I type this.
They should come back just fine!!! ;)
Traveling with your girls is absolutely the best thing you can do. Gardens can wait!
Oh, I love that! We cut 2 bushes down, intending to cut them out....they came back better!
I never give up on plants until the bitter end! You can save this one. It just needs a little love and laughter - you have plenty of both to give! Happy traveling!
I think that you are in for a beautiful surprise soon. That bush wants to grow!
i'm thinking sweet cheeks is a miniature YOU.
her graduation story had me in tears too.
i'm thinking soon your roses will be all ruffles and sparkles!
just like the two of you! xoxo
This is the year for rose revival.... They have loved all the rain!

They don't call June National Rose Month for nothing, Diana! Anything is possible!
Thank you so much for sharing...fingers crossed:)
I'm hoping that rose bush will spring to life for you, Diana! You just might be very surprised! Enjoy your day! xo Nellie
Hey girls.. YOURs is now a diamond in the rough . LOVE It .. I think they will be beautiful again .. HUGS
Sometimes, roses can fool ya. They can look so pitiful and then, all at once, they are blooming and looking pretty again. Mine started out just beautiful this summer and then we had a hard rain and small hail and now there are no blooms....:(
Get some of that Bayer Rose food in the blue container from The Home Depot and feed it! YAY!
Always bragging about your horticulture capabilities..Guess you can't be great at everything..
It's amazing how some plants can really fight to survive! The others, I'm afraid, are goners. Hope that little sprig grows back into a huge gorgeous rose bush! Hugs, Leena
Diana, I think you have the little rose that 'could''!! :)
Susan
Hi Diana, Give it a chance and it may just surprise you. I would travel with the girls rather then do yard work or house work. Guess what it is raining, I do hope the neighbors house paint doesn't wash off that they painted today. It sure looks different. I have been reading just not where I could leave comments. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
Diana, there is hope! You may have roses by Labor Day!
Just kidding!
xoGinger
I will send up a prayer to the Rose Gods to bless your little sprout!! LOL!!~~Angela
My roses have done well this year. Have been following the girls on Facebook!
I think rose bushes are fickle. We have some that flourish at times and then look nearly dead at other times. But, they always seem to press on. Glad you have some life blooming from yours!
Honey I am feeling your pain. Cut your loss and get new ones. A gal must have her roses. Kathy
There is still hope :) But I do agree with Kathy and think you should buy some more. Have a great weekend!
Hugs to you!
It looks like there is hope Diana!
Plus we haven't had the greatest growing weather this year..so who knows.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Looks very hopeful diana!!! you just never know sometimes with some plants!!! and roses can be quite hardy! And congratulations to sweetcheeks on her graduation! big pre primary girl next semester then! have an wonderful weekend!!!
xxxx
My, I really find your blog site so cute and interesting! You really adore flowers. It’s nice to know that you are blessed with a green thumb. Do you also sing to your plants? Coz’ I’ve heard that flowers would bloom more prettily if you sing to them once in a awhile.
