What The Fourth Of July Looks Like Here

The day started hot and bright.
There were a couple of boats
out early fishing.
MyHero and I worked all morning
setting up for family and friends.

I made a
Flag Cake
that more than filled the pan.
My daughter, TPot and her
BFF, Miss Tina,
always have fun together.
Who's that behind those
Foster Grants?
(anyone remember those ads)
MamasBoy skipped across
the bay from his place to ours
with his boat to give all the
kids a ride....and do a little
water skiing.
Hey!  How you gonna get
all those people in
THAT BOAT?
The day got hotter and hotter.
Some didn't seem to mind the heat.
That's our little CJK.
One month old!
Yeah- maybe I should learn
NOT TO TAKE
up the nose pictures, huh?
Quiet with  you!
Do you want to see the baby or not?

Some of you that have
been following me for a while
remember that
SweetCheeks had a couple
of  invisible VISABUL friends.
Her BEST VISABUL friend
was Bob.
He did everything with her.
He walked with her and talked
with her and played
house with her.
We mourned Bob's passing
when he fell down the steps
never to reappear.

But- Wait!
What is THAT I see?
She has  NEW
BEST FRIEND?
Can it be?
Really?
Well, pictures don't lie....
or do they?

That's one of the best "up the nose" shots that I've ever seen!
I'm glad you had a super day.

Looks like the perfect family day. It was over 100 degrees in our neck of the woods. Boy, I'm missing our lakeshore breezes from the week before. If my father would have had his bathing suit I think he might have joined the kiddos in our pool too. Your hubby is a sweetie.

Such a fun day. Her new best friend looks like he is enjoying that fine pool.

I would have joined them in the pool myself. You gotta do what you gotta do to keep cool these days. Glad you had a good day!

Diana, I can't believe how fast the baby is growing . I love the picture of Sweetcheeks and her Papaw, too cute. I guess that's one way to stay cool:):) Smiles, Susie

Looks like you had a happy 4th with family!!! All cute pictures:)

With that hat, an up your nose picture was all you were going to get.
Papaw is enjoying the pool, it seems, and since Bob's disappearance he'll have to do, I suppose. Poor Bob, falling down the steps like that..hope he wasn't pushed.

Looks like you had a super 4th! Now I would love to know how Sweet Cheeks convinced her Grandpa to get in the pool with her. I'm sure it was a good one.

Looks like a fun day!

That SweetCheeks is a smart one. I think her new best friend will benifit her much more than Bob. Just think about it. Invisible friends have invisible wallets and this new guy probably has deeper pockets. He might be able to treat her to an occasional ice cream or something. That girl is thinking!

To bad you didn't do anything fun for the 4th! Love the last photo. I have thought about getting one of those and sitting in it myself out here. I think we might need 3. One for each butt. LOL
