Saturday Prayers Please-Oh Please!

I had a whole different

FUN POST 

planned for today,

but someone gave me a nudge

and so I am asking that

you pray for a couple of 

people.

Many of you know and love

Tete

Beyond The Garden Gate.

Her son posted for her and asked

for prayer. 

For those of you that don't know,

Tete has had the burden

 of several health issues.

She  moves forward two steps

in recovery

and slides back one as she

conquers the ills that ravage her body.

And she does it

Without. Complaint.

She now has a pinched nerve

and is quite ill.

Please say a prayer and,

if you have just a moment,

pop by her blog and wish her well.

She is SUCH a good person.

And...while you are praying

please don't forget my sweet

young friend, Jessica.

I talked to her mom-in-law

yesterday and her count has 

dropped again.  

A 10 point drop

since her last appt a month ago.

Down from 38 to 28.

She HAS to get to ZERO

to conquer this rare form

of cancer that is ravaging 

her body.

I know God is listening to our

prayers for this beautiful

young woman.

And, last but not least,

let's not forget to pray

for the people that are

affected by the senseless tragedy

in Colorado.

Can you imagine going 

to see a movie,

expecting to have a fun time,

sipping on a cold soda,

munching on fresh, hot popcorn,

then having a madman

open fire on you?

I am sure that some of those

hit died without ever knowing

what was happening around them.

God bless every mother, father,

sister, brother, family member

and friend that has been

touched by this tragedy.

This. This. is

the face of tragedy.

There are no more words

needed to explain that pain.

Mr.& Mrs.B

have been our good friends

for many years.

This is an old picture of them

but the only one I have on hand.

Well, when they were

here for the

Fourth of July,

I mentioned that I wished

I could find some French books.

Being the kind soul

(and semi-hoarder!;>)

that he is,  my friend,

MrB, brought me 

some French books...

the real deal!

This is only a sampling...

He gave me about 10 books...

but GUESS WHAT?

A day or so later
he gave me another

bag full of

French Books!

He is really excited

that I like all things

As a matter of fact,

he is so excited he has

something special on

order-just for me.

Hmmmmm...

I don't know how

HE is going to look

in that

French Maid's Costume...

but I am guessing,

with a wig,

Big Boy E's Special Day

My daughter, Mimi, has

a spirit of fun and happiness

that she likes to spread around.

She is also a very good Mom

to her two little guys.

She combined her sense of

joy and entertainment

along with her love for her

three year old in a

SPECIAL PARTY.

I don't know of anyone

else that would throw an

 OLYMPICS THEMED

Birthday Party,
complete with games,

timed contests,

and an awards ceremony.

SweetCheeks &  BigBoyE

kicked off the ceremony by

running the "course" with

a special torch!

It was HOT HOT HOT.

So there were lots of

water balloons. 

These, of course, 

supplied hours of 

"surprise entertainment"

to those unsuspecting

souls who were minding

their own business before

getting hit with one of

these well-aimed missiles.

Did I mention it was HOT?!

Really, really HOT!

When it got too hot

Uncle Stev-o entertained

SweetCheeks inside with

a magic board.

After all the contests were

over BigBoyE opened his

presents.

He loved everything!

Hmmmm...looks like he has

a little RED icing on his 

face.  I wonder where

he got THAT from....

Looks like he might have been

dipping his finger into the 

GREEN THREE, too!

After contests and cake

it was time for the 

AWARDS CEREMONY.

Every single person there

got an award for

SOMETHING.

These two got a 

special Olympics award

for their own separate

run & jump contest.

As the day wound down

 we headed home,

giving two of the three

girls a ride home.

I stopped at the store to

pick up some milk and

a few grocery items.

I thought a couple of people

in the store gave me 

STRANGE LOOKS....

but  I am used to getting

strange looks so didn't think

too much about it...

~until~

I was walking towards the 

car and noticed 

MyHero and the two girls

laughing hysterically.

I opened the car door.

What's so funny? 

They all pointed.

I looked down.

Oh-Yeah-Cute

My Silver Award Medal.

What?

You want to know what I got

the award for?

Well.....

It was for 

NOT COMPETING 

in a single contest!

oh-shut-up

I TOLD YOU IT WAS HOT!


ps..I am away at the Lake Michigan
shore for 3 days with the 3 little girls.
I will be checking in at night 
AFTER you-know-who is
sleeping.

My Hero was about 4 when this was taken.
To look at him you would never believe he was such

However, on occassion, he could be helpful.
I don't even want to know what his crazy mother was doing here.

He has one sister that owned

I am sorry to tell MyHero that it's never

going to be 1966 again!He and his two brothers loved their Gramma Russell.And he especially adored his Grandmother and Grandfather KOS

and loved sharing the family with them.And he was a good son when his Dad was ill..

 They have discovered that he is always good for a few bucks

but Papa got sidetracked and
told them about the giants
in the Bible which scared
Ria so much she almost
peed her pants...

For fun he likes to boat-

Although we don't have a boat anymore..

Every man should have something
called A DINGY, don't you think?

But this was his own...

She was named The Glory...And he fancies himself a dancer..

Although ...well...you decide-He used to be a swinger....But now that he has calmed down a bit...

He swings like this...And, on a cold winter's night..He likes to keep warm..

And sometimes things just happen...

things like..burning of the underwear..

Let's just say....
never try to

It's About Time!

Last week we went to

a gathering of friends.

Everyone of them said

they couldn't believe

we had such a 

beautiful new baby

grandson.

I wondered if they had

all seen him and finally asked.

No....but...well....we got his

Oh- I wanted to hand-deliver

SATURDAY-LAST WEEK.

I guess he meant

Two-day Saturday.

It was soooo worth the

wait.
