A CONGRATULATIONS & VERY BITTERSWEET NEWS

I have been waiting to announce this
until I got the all clear from my
son-in-law, Big J
Sorry for the poor picture quality!
He has a new job
and while we are
THRILLED FOR HIM,
we are a bit sad, too.

That means that he will moving
with my daughter, Mimi,
BigBoyE, CharlesInCharge
and our sweet
Bright Eyes
out of state.
 I know that many families
have their relatives spread out all over the
United States.
We have been so blessed to have
them only live a couple of hours away.
Now they will be 8 hours from us.

Anyway,
as sad as I am we are thrilled for my
son-in-law.
He is the new
DISTRICT SALES MANAGER
in Indiana
for
HARLEY-DAVIDSON!

Harley-Davidson
thinks he is serious and staid.
We know the other side of him, too.
This is one of my favorite pictures of
Big J & Mimi.
Hmmmmm...
Now that he is going to be riding
A HOG
that's what they call those big ol' Harley's ya know.
I think I will have to order my daughter
an outfit so she can be a
BIKER BABE!
Look at this!
PINK HARLEY CLOTHES
for ladies!

image
and PINK PURSES

image

Pretty Cute, huh?
I can't wait to see if BigJ
brings Mimi home one of these!
I am trying to picture BIG J just riding
this HOME from WORK!
image
Do you think they would laugh at him?
Now that I am looking at
Harley Stuff
I told MyHero that
 there are some real
BIKER BABES
out there!

I thought MyHero might like to see
a BABE in a Harley outfit.
So-I found the perfect one for him
to look at!

Preacher approved!

Congratulations, Big J.
We love you and wish you well-
even if you are taking our girl
and grandbabies away from us!

Oh-Wait!
That means that when
THE INLAWS
(that would be us)
come to visit we will have to
STAY LONGER.
YOU are a LUCKY man!

Finish It Up Friday- Five Favorites (plus a couple)

Any of you old enough to remember
The Three Faces of Eve
with JoAnn Woodward?

Well, today's post is all about
The Looks Of Lulu

I couldn't resist posting these.
Her baby sitter made her up and
took pictures of her for a school project.
She is supposed to look like a
1950's young movie star.
I think they hit the nail on the head,
don't you?
One more of her in the 50's mood
Look at the bow in her hair and the curls.
Here she is unmade up...
as we usually see her as she goes off to school.
If you remember for Easter Sunday
she set her hair in pin curls.
She is usually NOT THE CLOWN in the family
so it fun to get her when she is
mugging for the camera.
C'mon Lulu!
Give us a nice smile for the camera!
Okay-
How about one of your
"SWEET" SELF?
I love that one, Lulu,
but could we get
JUST ONE MORE?
Do a nice picture with Papa now!
Okay?
(Papa thinks she is smiling nicely at the camera)

Lulu!
Now look what you've done!
He feels so bad now-
Papa is sitting in the car and texting his only friend
cuz his feelings are hurt.
Poor Papa!

I felt so sorry for MyHero that I decided
I should take him away for the weekend.
(Hey-Any excuse for a road trip, right?)

I am leaving this morning and will
be gone until Monday morning.
Hope MyHero wants to go with me
otherwise it is Hasta la vista, baby!

NEW WORD WEDNESDAY

Here I am again as promised!
Second week in a row for
NEW WORD WEDNESDAY!

Here is another
NEW WORD
to add to your repertoire.

Today's word is brought to you by
Lulu, when she was age 3.

The word for today is
LASTERDAY.

It is pronounced
LAST-TUR-DAY.

This is composed of two common words.
LAST and YESTERDAY.
.
Let's use this in a sentence.

LASTERDAY I went to Disney World
and I saw Piglet there.

Doesn't that word make
PERFECT SENSE?

What does YESTER mean anyway?
LASTERDAY  can be ANY DAY
BEFORE today!

Just so you know,
LASTERDAY-
Lulu's sister was human
Today she is....
well, see for yourself.....
I  guess she was sleeping standing up...

You have a great TODAY and I hope
YOUR LASTERDAY
was a wonderful one, too.

Look What I Found In My Mailbox

I meant to post this
BEFORE EASTER
but I didn't get around to it.
So-you are getting it today.

You know how it is when you have a
REALLY CRAPPY BAD DAY?
Well, I had a couple of those last week.
Anyway, my highlight was that
SweetCheeks came home with me for
a couple of days.
We stopped at the mailbox
and THIS was inside a package
I received.
That was the SECOND HIGHLIGHT of my day!

Each piece was wrapped in tissue paper
and tied up so sweetly.
SweetCheeks helped unwrap things.
She was pretty excited.
Then she asked me:
Nana, Why do people you
DON'T EVEN KNOW
send you things?
I explained that I did know them
through my blog.
She said-
Those are NOT REAL people, Nana!

So...just so y'all know-
You are NOT REAL....
I guess you are all figments of my imagination.

Close up of the sweet handmade card-

Some SWEET candy-
Someone liked those
ORANGE CANDIES
quite well.
I had to arm wrestle them away!

A sweet tag---
Now- I am NOT SAYING that my friend
thinks I am a
DUMB BLOND...
BUT- you see these CLAY handmade
SPECKLED EGGS>
She included a note that says
DO NOT EAT THE CLAY EGGS.
DON'T EAT THE CLAY EGGS?
Do you know what this
DUMB BLOND
has to say about THAT?
Now I am not saying
WHO sent me these things
but if you LIKE pretty things
you MIGHT BE ABLE to
find something similar here
@ MyShabbyChateauEtsy

Like I said-
Not saying who sent those things but I
Love that Donna!

I'll be around later,
I am pushing the guys around
over at the VA today.

SOME BUNNY IS PRETTY CUTE!!!

Here is just a quick peek
of our Easter get-together.
We met in Sheboygan, WI at the
Blue Harbor Resort.

The first thing we saw was
THE EASTER BUNNY.
Baby Bright Eyes
could not keep her hands off him.
Here he is making his get-away~
Sadly, her Mama does not like her at all
as you can plainly see!
The Blue Harbor Resort
is beautiful-inside and out.
It is the halfway mark for our families to meet.
The brunch was delicious
but the best part was watching the kids
hang out together.

The kids all looked beautiful.
What I love about this picture of Lulu
is the way her Dad is gazing at her
from the side.
I don't know that I have ever seen a
Daddy that loves his girls more than
Allen does.

Lulu set her hair on PIN CURLS the night before.
When she woke up she said she looked like
MEDUSA!
Look at the light fixture behind her...
She DOES look like Medusa here!
She is going to hate me for this.
Anyway,
I think she looks adorable.
She is only 12  and you can already see
the young woman she is going to be.
I think Daddy is going to be fighting off the boys
before too many years go by.
Ria looked so pretty, too
Sorry- the place was so bright
it was almost impossible to get pictures..
She loves her little cousin
Charles In Charge.
Big Boy E is so adorable.
There is something about him
that reminds me of my Dad.
He just looks so Irish to me.
Our SweetCheeks was not feeling very well
but she smiled so Mom could take her picture.
Can you believe how big she is getting?

After we ate we went to another room to see
The Balloon Lady.
Big Boy E was fascinated
watching her create
A LION
for him.
Sweet Cheeks was still not feeling well
but she perked up when she
The Balloon Lady
made her a penguin.
Isn't that amazing balloon art?

I tried to get all the kids together
to take a group photo.
As you can see,
the top of Lulu's head is missing.
We'll just say she had her head in the clouds....
The one my daughter took is a bit better-
except one kid is hidden behind the red balloon
and one kid in the front has a squiggly face
and SweetCheeks is looking at the penguin,
other than that-it's a great picture.
And, on the way out,
we caught my oldest son,
Mr. Elusive
that hates the camera almost as much as I do
sitting on the bench with his three nieces.
As you can see, when we said
"Look at your Mom,"
three girls looked at THEIR Mom
and Mr. Elusive looked at me!
Hellllllllllloooooooo?  ummm......never mind....
Anyway, it was a great day
and I will leave you with just one more bit of sweetness.
Baby Bright Eyes
loving on her Elmo balloon.
She is SO CUTE I just can't
STAND IT!

Oh- and one more
CUTE SHOT~
MyHero can put his
bunny ears away for another year.
The cotton tail can go, too!

I have some big news coming up
later this week so
STAY TUNED!

Romantic Homes- April 2015 Review

Is it
FINALLY APRIL?
Did we all survive the worst of the winter?
For many of us it is still
COLDER than an BAD Witch's Heart.
Yes-Yes- I know there are
good witches with WARM hearts but that is
another story for another day.

April issue of

If you do there is a 4 page spread on it.

The cover might set you drooling!
We won't get fresh strawberries locally
until early June (if we're lucky)
But I COULD make this!
Lavender Lemon Rolled Shortbread
The recipe is on Page 24.
OHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUS
It is too pretty to eat!

Janet Parrella-Van Den Berg

the most gorgeous photos of her home.

Then~
Alex Deringer

that ends with the master bedroom.
GORGEOUS home!

Here is
12 page spread of  her farmhouse.
It is full of life and color and
has a charming kitchen.

NEW WORD WEDNESDAY

I am starting a new
LITTLE THING
for myself here.

You know
WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
is a pretty big party on the internet
BLOGGING WORLD.
Well, being the rebel, crazy person blogger
that I am,
I decided to do my own
LITTLE THING!

IF you have kids, or have had kids,
or have GRANDKIDS,
or have ever been around kids,
you will most likely get a
KICK OUT OF
these posts.

My kids/grandkids
have invented words.
Yes! They! Have!
Some are
WEBSTER DICTIONARY WORTHY.
Today's NEW WORD
is brought to you by
CJK-AGE 2
The word for today is
WEINESS!
(pronounced WEEN-NUS)
It is a combination word.
It is composed of two separate,
yet very common words,
WEINER and PENIS.

Let's use this in a sentence:
CJK:Nana, if I don't touch my
WEINESS when I go pee,
I don't have to wash my hands afterwards.

Hmmm....who told you that?
CJK:  My Daddy did, Nana!

Now I know why my bathroom towel is always dry
when his Daddy leaves.
Could this be a case of-
Like father like son?

Your challenge will be to use
WEINESS
in a sentence at least once this week.
That's all.
Amen.
