GOOD MORNING~
Rise and Shine!
Mama Bird has risen and is out
looking for baby food.
She started with three
ROBIN EGGS.
All 3 hatched but one baby
did not make it.
I found that baby in the driveway
about 100' from the nest.
I looked it up and found out that
mother birds will carry
a unresponsive baby away
from the nest so that
predators are not attracted by
the smell of something that has died.
I never knew that about birds.
Anyway,
Eggs- 1 day old - 1 week old.
Cute as cute can be!
I have been waiting to paint my porch
and the door until they have
GROWN & FLOWN.
I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful June week.
My 'boyfriend' and I will be hanging out.
He will be sleeping and I will be working.
Life is just not fair sometimes!
As you can see,
he likes to eat in bed and keeps
his bone(s) close at hand-er-paw.
And little Miss Coco Chanel
likes keeping him company.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I have some exciting news coming up
but not quite ready to share it yet.
Soon---soon---soon---
And, thank you for asking,
BUT
I am NOT pregnant-
in spite of persistent rumors
about my expanding size.

I love all the pics and fun you had in the previous post! Now I'm curious...what's going on with YOU!!! Hugs!
Your pups are so cute! How fun to watch the baby robins grow! Can't wait for the upcoming news!
The dogs sure know how to take it easy. :)
Have a great weekend. I can see that the dogs definitely will!
A robin used to build a nest in the little evergreen next to my front porch. It was always fun to watch the progress.
Such a sweet boyfriend you have and it looks like Coco Chanel is pretty fond of him too.
That’s an interesting fact about the mama bird. Makes sense. Oh the sweet pups! They are just too adorable. What are you up to? lol. Hope you have a good weekend.
Hugs, Cecilia
You got great photos of the babies! I did not know the mom bird did this as well.
...tell people to buzz off!
Oh, I've always loved those blue Robin's eggs. I never heard of the mama Robin doing that. A Robin has been coming around and visiting me on my lawn all week. You got some pictures of the newborns, that's awesome! They are hard to get cause they're up so high, and sometimes we don't even know where their nest is, but now you will probably hear them loudly! I look forward to hearing the news you have to share. Have a pleasant weekend, Diana.
Ooh, robin eggs and baby birds! Plus the sweet puppies! Enjoy your weekend!
That last denial about being pregnant made me laugh out loud!! Thanks for the giggle, Diana! I never knew that about mama birds, but it makes sense and is very smart. Nature can be harsh sometimes (lots of times). Keep us posted on your painting project!! Happy weekend! xo
Going to have to do a lot of heating up from today to actually turn out to be a swamp ass weekend. But we do know how fast things can change. Well lady, if I was you, I would be jumping up and down about not being pregnant. LOL....Can't wait to hear the news. By the way, a few post back you asked a question....I replied in a post later. Here it is...https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/5625333838096566327/5842554394391793548
Well, I learned something today about birds.
What cute pups.
You are a hoot - look forward to news!
You’re a funny funny girl! Now install wait for your news! Aren’t birds so sweet! I enjoy every one of them that visits my yard.. except the hawk that ate a bunny or two over the years. Have a lovely weekend my friend! Xoxo
This is Vivian!
You are the absolute best, my friend. Thank you for the smiles today! I will be waiting and watching!
I never knew that about birds either. I'm sorry the little guy didn't make it. But none of them would have, had you plowed ahead and done your porch earlier, so I'll think of you as a bird savior!! Can't wait for your news.
I didn't know that about baby birds either.
Great photos and looking forward to your news.
I didn't know that about baby birds either ... but it does make sense.
Looking forward to your news.
Have a good weekend.
All the best Jan
I feel (some) smarter already! Your fur babies are adorable!
I swear! I laughed so "bad" that I scared the cat! That last you wrote just did me in!!!
That's funny...we had the same sad little bird incident this week by the pool. It was far away from the nest, so we knew it didn't fall out...and it was too tiny and new to fly. My husband told us that the mother's move it away because of predators. New information to me as well. I hope the rest of your nesting brood makes it and you get to that painting project, so you can get to the pool!! Happy Father's Day to all the dads in your family!! xoxo
Lucky you to have a birdseye view of the nest. I love robins, they are the first sign of spring, my favorite season. I've heard that they will return to the nest the following year. Hopefully you'll be seeing them again! Can hardly wait for your exciting news!
Ha, not pregnant.
I will be waiting to hear the news. :-)
You better not be leaving Wisco ... I need a friend to endure the weather with me.
Ha.
xo
Look forward to your exciting news! You are a doll to wait for those robins to fly away. Birds need all the help they can get.
How sweet to see birds nesting and eggs hatching so close by. I laughed at the "not pregnant" announcement.
Such a cute pup! Great to see the nest as well. Happy July! Cheers, Ivy.
