A Very Hard Post To Write- Please Pray For Us-MyHero Has Cancer

I have been putting off writing this
because I hardly know where to start.
 My Hero has cancer.

He had a biopsy the day after Thanksgiving
and they called him on Saturday to tell him
it tested positive for cancer.

Today he had three scopes and another biopsy.
Monday we see the radiologist,
the oncologist and he has a PET scan.
Tuesday we have a CT scan.
After that we will know exactly
what we are facing.
We will be in the biggest battle of our lives
(which is a whole lot different than the spats over
"WHY can't you put your underwear in the hamper?)

Please pray for MyHero and for our kids
and grandkids.
Cancer is not a ONE PERSON diagnosis
it affects whole families.

I am not going to be blogging for a bit
but I will keep you all posted from time to time.
I need to devote time and energy
to appointments and care-taking.

Thanks to all of you that have followed my blog
and been such a great support in the past.
I appreciate it and love each one of you!

Have a blessed, wonderful Christmas
YEP-it is MY blog and I will say
MERRY CHRISTMAS
rather than Happy Holidays!
As you can see I am still my
SASSY SELF
which just might be a good thing
in these upcoming weeks.

Please pray for us and/or
send healing thoughts our way!
Thanks so much!

Prayers for your Hero Diana. I was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in december 2002 and had radical mastectomy and not given a positive prognosis but I totally surrendered to Jesus' will and trusting that He would not wish to harm me and I'm still here in 2015.

I never joined your blog because you have so many followers and had to come to add my prayers to the others for a complete healing.
Hugs,
JB

Standing in faith and prayer that God will be your main hero in his cure here.
I too am heart broken over all the sadness when one has to hear such news of the evil enamy CANCER... I have been a big supporter of this having two grandparents pass from it, a mother who battled it and one with the strength of prayer. A close dear girl friend who is never out of my prayers who also is battling cancer and just had her first bone marrow transplant after several rounds of Chemo, she is holding her own and trust that the Lord is her rock in this battle.

Diana, know that you have some mighty prayer worriers out here that won't give up, prayers will be heard and God will do his fine work.
You know you quoted that your Husband is your HERO? it bet your his :)

Yes, a Very, Very, MERRY CHRISTMAS !

Un Joyeux Noël

Sending hugs and praying for you. It is never easy. My best friend was diagnosed a year ago and it's such a journey and process - so difficult for the patient and care givers. Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way! Stay positive!

Dearest Diana~~What a beautiful site to see when coming here that you have such an enormous group of dear friends that will be thinking of you and holding your "Hero" up in prayer, not to mention your entire family.
This is the beauty of God in deed!

It will be an honor to uphold you all and your situation before the Lord in prayer.
May you rest by the still waters that God has for you in the days ahead.

Merry Christmas dear friend.

Love and hugs~~ Debbie

Bless your dear heart, Diana! I saw the sad news over on dear Marilyn's "Spicing Up Idaho" blog. God is bigger than any problem or disease in this life, and Jesus Christ is still the same as He was when He was on this earth. I am believing GOD for a Divine-intervention miracle for your dear husband. Keep encouraged, dear one, and know that "the eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27

Diana, I just read of your Hero's cancer on Kris's blog. I'm so sorry you're both facing this. Please accept my apologies for not keeping up with you. The past couple of weeks I've been remiss in visiting blogs. I know your faith in the Lord is strong and that you will be relying on Him during this great trial. But know that I stand with you and your beloved in prayer for healing. And I will pray for your kids/grandkids, too. Love and more love -- Nancy
