We are always looking for a
FAST FIX
for Christmas morning.
Something to tide
the
WOLVES
over until we can
get to the
REAL BREAKFAST.
One of the blogs I visit
belongs to
Judy
Follow the above link
to meet Judy and
see the original recipe.
When I saw it
the other day
I thought it would be a
great "filler"
for Thanksgiving morning
BOY WAS IT!
I stole Judy's picture
because the
gobbled (get it-Thanksgiving-gobbled?;>)
them down before I could snap a
picture.
We changed the basic recipe
up just a tad.
We used King Hawaiian rolls,
covered them with the
melted butter and poppy seed
(no mustard because we have
some NON-mustard eating people here-
crazy things).
I topped them with sliced ham
and sharp cheddar
and topped them with
more
melted butter and poppy seeds.
So-if you are having one of those
"rushed mornings"
and have people to feed
try these!
These are guaranteed to
be a crowd pleaser.
Trust me-
I made a 2nd pan for Day 2!
Recipe as I made it~
I package King Hawaiian rolls,
sliced in half lengthwise.
Place bottom half of rolls
in a 9x13 greased pan.
Melt 1/2 cup BUTTER
(Hey we DO live in Wisconsin)
Stir in poppy seeds to taste.
Brush half this mixture over
bottom half of rolls.
Top rolls with sliced ham
and layer each roll with
a piece of sharp cheddar cheese.
Put top of rolls over bottom ones.
Brush top with remaining
melted butter and poppy seeds.
Bake @ 350ยบ for about 20 minutes.
Cut apart and devour eat.
Make sure to go visit
Judy @
and tell her
Thank You!

Sounds great.
These sound great. I'm always looking to hold off the wolves, especially Christmas morning.
Oh those look so good Diana! Have a great day.
I can send you several different things you can do like this that you can make the day/ evening before and then micro wave whenever anyone wants them, too. You won't believe the concoctions I have come up with. I will start taking photos and do a post soon- before Christmas!
Oh my gosh, these sound so yummy! I don't know if we can wait for a holiday or a crowd! May have to cut down the recipe for two - just to make sure it's good to serve! he he he!
Blessings,
Donna
Looks good, but this New Jersey girl needs to know -- what are Hawaiian rolls?
Do they wear hula skirts?
Coconut bras?
Never heard of them!
