THE LAKEHOUSE! Shabby Chic At Heart

For those of you that love
SHABBY CHIC
you are in for a treat
here today.

ROMANTIC COUNTRY
did a TEN PAGE spread
on Debbie Koperski's
(which is also the name of her blog)

I "met" Debbie shortly after
I started blogging and she is a
"sister-of-the-heart".
We have lots in common, she and I.

Our decorating styles are very different,
but I sure love the
ROMANTIC LAKEHOUSE
Debbie has created for herself and her hubby.

It is soft, romantic and beautiful.
The bedroom is full of cottage charm with
its deeply slanted ceilings.
Doesn't this sunroom make you smile
and go OOOOOH?
Want an extra mantle but don't have a fireplace?
No problem!
Build yourself a faux mantle.
All photos/styling/article by Lohman/O'Neill/Soria
I know Debbie is just bursting with pride
to see her home in this issue of
Romantic Country Homes!
BUT
she is too humble to brag on herself...
so I will do it for her!
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, DEBBIE!!!!

I am also PROUD to call her a friend.
And, as my friend, she has promised me that
SHE WILL NOT
go to Walmart
dressed like this again!
Sorry, Debbie...
I just couldn't resist!!!!

okay-that is NOT her...or...
is it?????

Romantic Country- Winter 2014

I am really enjoying this
Winter 2014 magazine.

Under the heading of
Cottage Comfort is an article
An Eye For Fabulous.
It is INDEED fabulous as is Michelle @
Are these the cutest things you've seen today?
And wouldn't you love to sit here?
Or linger over coffee here?
Michelle- I am available for coffee any day between
8:30am and noon....just sayin'.....

While I am awaiting that invitation I will
take you to see a condo in an article called
The Art of French Style.
YES! A CONDO
owned by Will & Cathy Kimmel.
She co-owns The French Flat
Now THIS is a condo!
Isn't this lovely?
I know that doesn't leave you feeling blue
BUT
How about some
OLD WORLD WARMTH?
This is a bit of the kitchen in the home of
Gail Smith - of the Agoura Antiques Market-
Her whole home is warm and welcoming
and there are several pages devoted to it.
And-this doesn't strike you as a typical
Florida home,does it?
Look what Robin Smith did here!
I couldn't find a site for her but she mentions
The Vintage Soul as inspiring her.
This is just one room of her sweet home.
And, last but not least.
Rhapsody In Blue is brought to us by
Sandra Linderman.
The only link I could find for her is here.
How fresh is this?
She has a very minimalistic approach to decorating
and it showcases her pieces beautifully.
There are MANY more pages devoted to her home.
AND
Just for fun...
How cute are these little
PAPER TREES?
There are instructions for making them in the magazine.
And what does that magazine
LOOK LIKE you ask?
Why-Just like this!

Romantic COUNTRY Fall 2014

You know I usually do a review of
Romantic Homes magazine.
Well, another little magazine that has
come a long way is

No I AM NOT selling these magazines
or getting paid to promote them.
I only promote things I like-
for no compensation.

Now this feature in RC is called
BLOG SPOT
French Essence.
Kelly has a blog called
and I have followed her for a long time!
She moves her things around a lot so her
home always looks fresh and "new".
I love Kelly's style.
Doesn't this look comfortable?
See the plates on the open hutch doors?  Cute!
Also in this issue is
Laurie @ Heaven's Walk.
Under the header of
FARMHOUSE
the article is titled
 Life Is Beautiful
I found Laurie right after she started blogging
and it has been fun to see all the changes
she has made over the years...from..romantic
to shabby chic to nordic to prairie style with a boho attitude.
Her porch is charming...
as is her kitchen.
I wish they had featured her gardens here.
They didn't so I dug up a picture myself.

A third article is titled
RENEWED RANCH
with a subtitle of
Reign & Shine.
The homeowners are Kathy & Jason Hepton
but I can't find a website connected to them.
But---their house is just lovely.
Isn't this a pretty dining room?
And here is a bit of their kitchen.
I love the touches of turquoise in there.
There is a feature called
PLAYHOUSE.
Little Girl Dreams
has a 2 page spread.
Christine Torda had this built for her daughter, Birdie.
This is one shot of the interior.
Under the heading of
DECORATE
is an article
Naturally Bountiful.
I am sure you can still find this on the newstands.
I saw it at Barnes & Nobles this weekend.
The cover looks like this.
I think that cover picture is from

So there you go!
Fall is sliding towards winter so
thought you would enjoy seeing this before
the snow flies.

AND-in case you DON'T remember
this is what winter looks like on
the road in front of MY HOUSE!
I just can't wait!
(oh- I am SUCH a liar)
