NEWS ABOUT SUSIE FROM---SHE JUNKS---

Good morning!
Many of you know that
I was lucky enough to meet
Susie from She Junks
a couple of years ago.
Now, the funny thing is
this picture was taken a couple of years ago
when Ted was in treatment
for his cancer.
How appropo to find this picture
because this is how she looks
NOW, too!

She lives close to my daughter
in Indiana so my daughter and I met her at
Horton's (fabulous place by the way)
when I was visiting my daughter.

After that, her husband, Ted,
(she calls him Teddy Bear)
was diagnosed with cancer
and was hospitalized.
We were able to visit them both
when Ted was in the hospital.
MyHero speaking as a cancer survivor
and giving hope to Ted for the future.

Anyway~
After not hearing from Susie
in the past few weeks,
I texted her.
She is safe and well but has
NO COMPUTER SERVICE.
Because of Ted's delicate health
they cannot have anyone in their home
to do anything.

Most of you know that if you were on
Susie's Blog List,
she always left a comment.

Right now-
She feels isolated, lonesome
and anxious.
Ted's health continues to be
an on-going issue.

Please leave a message for her here
and I will make sure she gets them somehow.

IF you would like to send her a card,
or a few words of cheer,
please send me a separate email
and I will send you a private email
with her address.
My direct email is
dianakos1@gmail.com

Keep her in your prayers,
or send her virtual well-wishes
Thank you all so much.

Stay Safe-
Still Sorting & Purging here!

  4. Yes, I will be requesting a snail mail addy. Not fun to be so isolated without people real or cyber. Good thing that no one is ever truly alone. Susie is beautiful even wearing a mask.

~Hang in there, Susie, One day at a time; Keep looking up. Love to you both.~

And love to you, Diana, for being the link between us.

  7. Of course I would love to say hello to Susie and give her a distant hug...she is a real sweetheart...sending love from Texas...hopefully they have nice weather and she can get outdoors and enjoy the warmth of the sun!

  8. Awww Thank You for this. It has been a difficult year. Thankfully, Mom (Susie) and Ted were pretty much pros at isolation and social distancing since his blood marrow transplant last April. My sisters and I have been doing what we can. One of us lives nearby and has dropped off groceries. Hopefully our distancing restrictions will ease soon and more of us will get to visit. I am sure they both would benefit from a lot of hugs.

  9. Thanks, Diana. And for Susie --

I'm glad you are well and that you and Ted are hanging in there. I know this time is especially nerve wracking for you, given the high risk concerns but as you know, laying low is the right thing to do and if that means no computer, well -- serious bummer, but also the right thing to do. Please do continue to take care. The prayers keep coming.

  10. That is so frustrating in this time when being on line means so much. I will definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers and hope that some way their services can be righted soon.

  13. Thank you for the update on Susie and Ted. I was worried when I did not hear back from emailing her and not seeing her post. Glad to hear it is a technical problem and not health issues. Thanks Diana for the post.
    Have a great day.

  18. Thank you for this word about Susie, Diana. Of course this time must be especially difficult for her. Even with a big family near them, not to be able to see and hug their wonderful children and grands has to be so hard in addition to her constant concern for Ted. What an amazing woman she is! Please let her know that many are praying for them both. Sending love to them and to you,
    Dewena

  24. Diana, Susie just popped into my mind the other day because she would write like clock work even through her troubles, but I was concerned because of all the sickness going around. I am glad to hear that she is well and so sorry she is having trouble with her internet. Incidentally, I am having trouble too and I agree with her that I don't want anyone to come into the house that doesn't belong here now, especially when I can't even let my kids in..When you talk to her will you tell her I am thinking of her and Ted and give her my love..xxoJudy

  25. I have thought about Susie a lot, Diana. I'm glad to hear she's Ok. She is one of my favorite blog sisters, and I really miss her. Please tell her I'm thinking about her, and I miss her wonderful posts.....the sunsets, the snow on her deck, the flowers, and all the happenings in her life. It's no fun not having computer service, especially right now, but tell her that she is missed and thought of by so many.
