While I was away in Florida
which is supposed to be the
"most magical place on earth"~
A LITTLE MAGIC
happened right here at home.
My beautiful daughter,
TARA LYNN
got engaged to
GLEN.
Her ring is beautiful-
I will try to get a close up of it soon.
But the ring isn't the important thing,
is it?
The important thing is that they
love each other
and we love both of them.
He asked her to marry him in front of her
THREE DAUGHTERS
at the coffee shop
where they went for the first time
to "talk".
You know what that means?
There's a wedding in the works!
I can't wait!

ReplyDeleteI suppose the girls were thrilled, probably a different story if they were sons instead of daughters. I don't think I would have been "happy" over a new step-father, though that never came to be anyway.
Men and women react to engagements differently for sure.
The day after I got engaged I went to work.
Women started screaming like crazy in excitement at me
the only guy who mentioned anything said "you still got time to back out".

reminds me of a wedding a few years back that I did the photography for ( friends/ free ) and they had a ceremony that involved all of the kids of their melded families... I had a hard time taking pictures and crying at the same time! :)
