Our dentist,
is the one that discovered John's tumor.
Had Bob not called the house to follow up,
John would not have sought treatment
until it was too late to be curable.
We owe Bob a big debt of gratitude.
The disgusting thing is we have all aged and he has
looked the same for about a hundred years.
Sadly, his wife has not aged either....
must be all that laughing gas they inhale after
office hours?
He is not only our dentist- he is our friend.
Our friendship dates back many years.
We have laughed and cried and
prayed together over the years.
Bob is one of the most caring,
concerned people we know-
always there with a prayer
for someone.
Now he needs prayers because
he is having some
serious surgery tomorrow.
He went in for a calcium scoring-
a routine test to check for plaque
in the veins and arteries.
Thank goodness he went because
they discovered an aortic aneurysm.
He will have several weeks of recovery
after surgery.
That will probably be the hardest
part for Bob because he is not
prone to 'sitting'.
I was lucky enough
to get in for a filling
earlier today.
Whew!
I'd hate having to look into a new face
while someone was
drilling holes in my head teeth
plus no one can expound on
politics quite like Bob
when you are a captive audience
and can't say a word.
Please pray for a successful surgery,
the hands of the surgeons and medical staff,
the hands of the surgeons and medical staff,
an uncomplicated recovery,
and a return to perfect health.
Also, pray for his wife and family
to have peace of mind and know
that Bob is in good hands-
on Earth and in Heaven.
If you are not inclined to pray,
please send him and his family
your best wishes.
Thanks so much.
I will have an update on MyHero
in a day or so.
Prayers for your dentist. Hope all goes well! Ah, and isn't it something how dentists always talk, and the worst part, ask questions while they are working on teeth! Love listening to my dentist too, but the questions...ah! Take care!
ReplyDeletePrayers for Bob....another of your heroes!
ReplyDeletePraying for all of them, and the surgeons who do the work.
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate your husband was. Not sure if mine would notice anything. Mine is a younger fellow, but I like the older ones. The old saying is "when it rains it pours, but in your case I do believe you have been flooded. Take care my friend.Best wishes to all.
ReplyDeleteOh sigh.... But the good thing is, it was discovered early.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to him and his family, for the procedure and the recovery.
Gentle hugs,
Tessa
I'll keep him and his family in my thoughts. Heavens, it's always something, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteMy mom had the same thing years ago. She did fine, but it was a BIG surgery.
I will just pray for everyone tonight.
Love, sandie

I started to smile and say , yea, I was noticing you might wanna consider a facelift soon... yes I am a snarky biotch:) but ya knew that already lol lol
oh yea, I was also gonna say- I'm sure Mr Dentist will come through his surgery fine and I have NO doubt he'll be well taken care of by the entire nursing staff-- maybe even from other floors:) **wink**
ReplyDeleteOh goodness- that is great that they caught this and can do something about it. Prayers for him- God has to be watching over him- he was your angel and now someone is his.

Diana, I will certainly say a prayer for him. Thank heavens, he saw what he did for John. Sounds like the timing is good all the way round..Happy Wednesday..xxo Judy
ReplyDeleteOh, thank goodness his problem was found early too! What a special friend he is to you. Praying for all that you listed in the post.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I am inclined to pray. That's right! You and I were visiting our respective dentists this morning. I'll tell you right now that I was gypped. ; > God is so good to have circumstances work together that allow problems be caught. Amazing stories for both your hero and your other hero.
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like such a wonderful man. I have a couple of friends who are older than me and they look younger (remember the portrait of Dorian Gray). I said a pray. It is such a wonderful coincidence that the problem was discovered!
ReplyDeletePraying, Diana. I have a friend named Bob Wagner. He sorta looks like your dentist/friend. My Bob Wagner isn't a dentist though. He's a computer programmer. xo
ReplyDeletePraying for your dentist, Diana. You should pray for the wife and daughters of my dentist, who died just before Christmas. It was quite a shock, he was only in his early 60's. He died of a heart attack, playing tennis. He was a very nice guy.
ReplyDeleteYour dentist is very easy on the eyes, bet his wife is pretty also!
Prayers for all! My long term dentist retired a few years ago and I've been scared to go to a new dentist. Joe was superb, a perfectionist, gave the best IV meds to go to sleep, was painless and easy on the eyes. :) Seriously, when you have a caring dentist that becomes a friend, you have a treasure. May God and His angels surround him and bring healing.

ReplyDeletePraying always for others. Oh my. You are a artist at what you do. My goodness. Those outfits are smashing. Love them and your your Grandchildren wearing them. What a fine Dentist friend finding what he did for your hubby. We are planning in two weeks to go back to our old Dentist. This one here. Really messed up one of Sid teeth big time. When one has a caring dentist. Hold on to them. Hugs
