Finish It Up Friday's FIVE FOTOS & Baby Bright Eyes Update

Good Friday Morning!

So---Some of you know I took a little trip
with MyHero and my granddaughter, Lulu.
We didn't tell anyone where we were going-
we just went.

We ended up on the upper coast of Florida.
So-here are a few pics of our trip.
Is there anything better than sunrise
AT THE BEACH?
We stayed in this sweet little cottage.
The big banks of windows overlooked the ocean
and we were only steps from the water.

Lulu made a friend a couple of days after
we got there.
They hung out and did
"girl things"
like painting their nails.
Her little friend was just darling and from
NAWTH CARAHLYNAH!
LOVED the accent!

My Hero relaxed and enjoyed himself.
Hmmm...maybe you should wear sunglasses
so you don't have to SQUINT...just saying....
I made the mistake of telling him I thought
PIRATES WERE KIND OF SEXY..
You know - like Johnny Depp...

UH...yeah.......uhn-huh...
Let me check...
NOT WORKING!!!
 Thus ended our romantic getaway!

Here is the news from my daughter about
Baby Bright Eyes.
Thanks everyone!! It was her tibia (shin

bone) and it isn't fractured, thank God!

We are going in to see the pediatric

orthopedist tomorrow morning to try and

figure out why she still isn't

putting any weight

on her leg (4 days after her fall).

Prayers appreciated and thank you, again!

Poor little munchkin-
has to sleep in a basket....lol
Have a GREAT Friday!
I will give you another update on our
little babydoll tomorrow after she sees
the specialist.

  1. Poor baby! She does look like an angel in the basket though.

    Your little trip sounds wonderful!

  2. Looks like a lovely place to vacation.. Sexy? Hmmmm. Baby bright eyes is probably afraid to put weight on her leg. Happened to a great great nephew after he broke his little leg. He was so afraid to walk normally again, but eventually came around.

  5. what a beautiful get away and I am so glad nothing was broken, maybe she is just not using it because she thinks it will hurt,, maybe just bruised ,, maybe?

  6. Hope the news on Baby Bright Eyes continues to look up. Mmmm, she didn't just do something to the sole of her foot, like step on a splinter or some such... something simple..... but think she is still too young to "use her words" and tell you...?????? Yes, grabbing at any possible straw here, for a simple solution...

Sounds like the va-ka was super. Well, other than the try at being Johnny Depp... But hey.... -grin-

Hope Lulu and her new friend, keep in touch...

    Hugs,
    Tessa

  7. So glad you three had a nice vacation down south! The cottage is sweet.
Keeping the baby in my prayers. Just a thought....I fell in Nov. and they thought I broke a bone. 6 mos. later I could not put my weight on my foot. Finally, Dr. ordered an MRI and found a torn tendon. Praying that the dr. will have wisdom in treating this precious baby girl. xoxo

  8. I don't know.....that "pirate-thing" might just be working for your Hero! I'd keep under close scrutiny. The little cottage is adorable, and your granddaughter is so cute.

I'm so sorry about your little "Miss Blue Eyes." It is never easy seeing your little one or your grandchild in pain. Good luck to them in getting some answers, and I'm praying it isn't anything that a bit of time won't heal.

  9. I'm so thankful her leg isn't broken, but those bruises can still be so painful. Keep us posted.

  10. Poor little sweetie!! I hope they figure out what is bothering her. Could it be her hip?

Your trip looks lovely, my dear! And your hubby is far more handsome without the pirate get-up. In fact, the squint lines will only improve his already good looks. Sort of the Clint Eastwood effect. I'm glad you got a break from your crazy-busy life. Do that more often, ya hear??

  11. Looks like a fun trip, and I could just hear that little girl say NAWTH CARAHLYNAH when I read it. And I am so glad that Baby Bright Eyes does not have a broken bone. But - I do hope they figure out what the issue is and get it taken care of. Praying she is all better soon.

  26. You just took off telling no one...wow! That's my dream. I probably wouldn't land in Florida, but that's a minor consequential. It certainly does look beautiful!

So sorry that Little Bright Eyes has hurt her leg...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well that's a relief that she didn't actually break her leg! That's the bone that my son broke. Actually it was the tib/fib. Two bones of the shin. Hopefully, her leg is just bruised as to why she won't put weight on it. She may just be scared to do it when it really wouldn't hurt if she tried now. Love those FL pics! My neighbors just left for there today. I'm jealous! Wish I was there right now.

  28. Good news about no break. Hope she soon can weight bear. Looks like a fun getaway to the beach! Those pirates can be so cheeky.

  29. Looks like a great trip! I would love to take a trip with our granddaughters someday. So glad Bright Eyes doesn't have a fracture. Hope she will soon be getting around and putting weight on that leg.

  30. I'm glad Bright Eyes doesn't have a fracture! That's good news! When my oldest was about three, he fell in a bouncy house and refused to put any weight on his leg. We took him to the dr. and NOTHING was wrong with his leg. He continued to scoot around on the floor saying he couldn't walk on it. After THREE days, he forgot about it and started walking/running again and has been fine since! Little stinker!

  31. So glad to hear an update on Bright Eyes. She is so precious.

  33. Great news on the little one! Hope the next doctor's visit goes smoothly. We've had to see pediatriac orthopedists at least three different times, and all three times they were a lifesaver for my kids (and their mom!) Nice that you could have a little getaway!

  35. Lulu must have loved her special trip with you all. It is something she will always remember. Hope they figure out why Bright Eyes won't put any weight on her leg. xo Laura

  36. Hope Bright Eyes is soon unafraid to put weight on her leg. Pain can cause you to not want to use it. Glad to hear the doctors are taking good care of her!

  37. The basket thing reminds me of my mom telling me about my old dog from childhood. He got hit by a car, and they were told to keep him in a box to keep him still. He recovered and lived for about ten more years.

  38. Glad you had a wonderful vacation. It looks like a perfect spot, and how nice to have that time with Lulu. Glad to hear the update about Bright Eyes - she is awfully sweet in that basket!

  45. Ahh looks like a nice place in Florida to visit! So glad Bright Eyes didn't have a fracture. Perhaps some bruising causing tenderness?

    ReplyDelete
  46. So glad to hear there is no fracture! What a lovely place to stay in Florida! It has been years and years since I've been to a beach! Time to plan a trip! It must have been a real treat for Lulu! xo Nellie

  47. Oh my I hope Ms. Bright Eyes is better soon. No fracture is a good thing, but a sprain can be so much harder to heal. I only went to Florida once, Fort Meyers, was beautiful but it's just too hot for me, ocean or not ocean. Let us know as soon as you can about Ms. Bright Eyes!

  48. Hoping for the best of news for Baby Bright Eyes. She is so precious! Glad you three enjoyed some beach time. Sounds wonderful!

  49. Oh, that is great news! Sure you all get to the bottom of why she isn't putting any weight on it though.

    Poor little sweet thing.

Your vacation sounds so nice- we've had non stop rain pretty much for 10 days straight and I am so ready for breezes and sunshine and cool nights and the ocean. I need a vacation!!!!
