There is a lot going on around here
this weekend.
My daughter and her three girls are here visiting.
Always lots of little mini dramas going on
when there are little girls involved.
AND
Down in Indiana there is
MORE DRAMA!
Our little
BRIGHT EYES
has a cast!
See?
I LOVE the expression on her face
as she is studying her new "leg".
Couldn't you just kiss those little toes?
Here is what the pediatric orthopedist says:
The jury is still out.....
It is probably a hairline fracture of her tibia,
so they put her in a cast for 10 days,
just in case.
Hopefully this works:)
So, keep our little girl in your prayers and
healing thoughts.
We are just thankful because
it could have been so much worse.
Have a wonderful, wonderful Saturday!
I will be around to visit as I can~
what a sweetie, thank goodness children are so resilient, I will keep her in my prayers and have a great time with your girls,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your girls and prayers for quick healing.
ReplyDeleteThe toes are adorable...love the look on her face...I bet it won't slow her down a bit.
ReplyDeleteShe is just darling...poor baby! Ya'all have a lovely visit!
ReplyDeleteI csme over to check up on her...I hope that she only has to wear this for the 10 days and that 's it : healed and well. And that expression...she's certainly studying it and probably trying to figure out to get it off!

ReplyDeleteDiana, I am glad the dr. decided to put the cast on rather than risk more injury. She looks so sweet. Yes I could kiss those toes and those little rosy cheeks. Keeping all of you in my prayers. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteDiana, she's so precious, just like all of your grandchildren are. So glad she will be alright and it isn't broken. Baby toes are very kissable indeed.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, She is so special and the expression on her face is priceless. I will continue to say prayers for her and the family for a speedy recovery. They bounce back much better then we do. Enjoy your visit with the girls. You can have drama with boys also. Have a good weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley
ReplyDeleteBless her heart...I love the photo of her checking our her cast! It really could have been much worse, babies and children heal very quickly, don't forget! Have fun with the little girls at your house! xx
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that they did "something"... 'Cause if she wasn't using her foot, something hurt. And the cast, will let whatever hurt, get all better again. Even though a cast is not fun.
ReplyDeleteOh her expression!!!!!!!!
But then, she is always precious...
Hugs to her and her family.... They have plenty to do, to get moved in. And this too...
"Murphy's Law" strikes again! ,-)
Thanks for the update, Diana. Poor sweet little thing.
ReplyDeleteBetter safe than sorry...she is the youngest child I have seen in a cast. She makes it look cute. So happy that it will be for ten days. Poor mama...bet she will be a little busier than usual.
ReplyDeletePraying for her to heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteIf I could, I'd scoop her up and kiss those sweet little cheeks! Bless her heart. I know that ole cast won't be much fun, but it is necessary for healing to take place. I pray that all will go smoothly for her and for her family. Take care and have fun with your girls!
ReplyDeleteAwww-poor baby! Praying for her-she is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it wasn't a broken femur. That picture of her checking out her cast is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it didn't show up on the xrays since it's so minor, but it was a good idea to put her in a cast so she can heal properly. Poor thing! She is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteawww...poor baby. She is so beautiful and sweet. And yes kissing those toes would be delightful! I'm so glad that they pinpointed the problem. I'm sure it's been very hard for everyone. Prayers for peace and complete healing for precious Bright Eyes..
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tamara
So glad they casted the leg just in case. It will all be good!!! Bright eyes is too sweet. Love that her cast coordinates with her outfit lol! She is such a cutie. Happy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteKris
Weekends are different when you have family, but fun. That precious Bright Eyes is trying to figure out what in the world have they done to my leg. She will be fine in time.
ReplyDeleteThat photo is adorable. And stylish! Gotta have a matching outfit for your cast you know.
ReplyDeleteis that a beautiful baby or what!
ReplyDeleteand yes. tiny toes. always my favorite. and the backs of their little necks ...
thank heaven it was not worse. angel prayers for her for sure. xoxo♥
Diana, hope your little bright eyes is fit as fiddle soon! Enjoy your family! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what happened? She is not sure about that at all!
ReplyDeleteLittle girls and drama! Definitely the two go together.:) Miss Bright Eyes is precious, even with that cast! She appears to be trying to understand what it is all about! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture! Hope the 10 days go by quickly and all is good as new!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Hairline fracture !! I had one of those..No biggy esp at her age..She'll be fine..Happy that's all it was..
ReplyDeleteThat's good news! I bet it was just so small it didn't show up in x-rays. I think that's a great precaution to put her in a cast for 10 days. She'll be good as new! :)
ReplyDeleteAwl poor punkin! I have never seen a cast so TINY!
ReplyDeleteFound out yesterday some "leg" news of my own: stress fractures in foot, nasty advanced tendonitis and arthritis.
Yep, The Ugly Big Black Boot for me and physical therapy 3 x a week for a month, then we'll see if improvements and healing have been made......and if not there is Plan B which I do do do do not want. Just sayin.
Give precious hugs and kisses when you see her on your monitor next. Hugs.
In my prayers, precious Bright Eyes melts my heart, I totally know Diana she owns your heart. Sending love your way.
ReplyDeleteBless her adorable little heart . . . she is in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteSuch a little sweetheart! I'm glad the cast should only be on for 10 days. May she heal quickly!
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Lots of prayers for sure...and yes, super cute toes!
ReplyDeleteOh, Diana! I've been missing more than hitting in blogland and I missed this completely. Sweet baby girl, bless her little heart and how much worse is could have been, yes. Babies bones aren't hardened yet so healing should be swift and sure. My sweet daughter had a fractured shoulder around four years of age. It healed great and quickly. Prayers for your little one and all of the family.
ReplyDeleteAwh....poor little thing! She's curious about what they've done to her! Well better safe than sorry. :-(
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to see such a little one with a heavy cast. Hope she heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteshe doesn't seem to happy to have that cast
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter fell and we thought her arm was broken. Went to the ER, Xrayed, etc. and they said no it wasn't. A full two weeks later, she was still complaining about the pain. Went back to Dr and it was broken. Had to go to an orthopedic specialist to have it set and cast. They say a lot of time, the break doesn't show up immediately. So, it's probably a good thing they went ahead and cast it. Poor baby!
ReplyDeleteJudy
Aww, poor little sweetie, heartbreaking to see a little one with a cast. I'm praying for that sweet little heart. Enjoy the girls!~
ReplyDeleteGot your book, I'm so excited!
Nancy
Oh poor baby! I understand drama with the girls. My niece (almost 12) and her brother (15) were with me this week. Oh my goodness. She and I are like two peas in a pod. We had to make a pack that if I got on her nerves she would go to another room and if I got on hers, I would do likewise. Ughhh! Thing is, we have fun when we're not fighting. We don't fight, we just argue/disagree! We don't even yell. WE wind up laughing at it all.
ReplyDeleteOh your sweet little one. I would just love to give her a gentle hug!! My prayers are with her for quick healing!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Oh Diana! Poor little Bright Eyes! How did she break her leg? I hope that she is feeling better soon! Hugs., Leena
ReplyDeleteDon't you wonder what is going through her little mind? A red leg????
ReplyDeletePoor little baby…she's doesn't know what in the world to think of that cast! Bless her heart! I love the wedding photos…..what a cute wedding! Thanks again for your sweet encouraging words….they mean a lot to me!!!!!
ReplyDeletexo,
RJ
Awwww! She doesn't know quite what to make of it! I've heard that sometimes hairline fractures don't show up right away in xrays.
ReplyDeleteAww...it looks like she is trying to figure out what that red thing is on her little leg. Keeping her in my prayers.
ReplyDelete~Cindy
Thank you for the update Diana. Bless her heart. When they are tiny though they tend to heal really fast, thank goodness. I pray all will be well with her. I hate to see little ones suffer. Enjoy your Sunday. Hugs to bright eyes. Jo
ReplyDeletePrayers shall continue for healing and peace! Blessings ~ Lisa
ReplyDeleteOh poor little girl, so sad then they are hurt. She's looking like 'What?' It will be over soon and she'll be up and about soon! I'd prefer your drama to ours in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, dear Diana. Such a little angel. She looks very unsure of what to think about this new "sock". I hope it helps!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update. We are praying it works for her.
xx oo
Carla
What a little sweetie!! Prayers for quick healing!
ReplyDeleteBless her little heart. I hope she heals soon.
ReplyDeleteAw...poor sweet Bright Eyes! It is amazing though, how quickly little ones adjust to things like a cast and simply act like it isn't even there! Hoping 10 days does the trick! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteBless it! I'm happy to hear it's not worse, but you are right....look at that face. Bless it! I don't know about toes, but I just want to kiss those cheeks.
ReplyDeleteSo precious. It is a good thing that babies are so resilient. She won't remember any of this. Bathing in a cast was the worst part of our toddler's cast days. Hopefully, 10 days will go by quickly. Our oldest daughter told us she was going to stuff a car air freshener inside of Josie's cast by the time the 6th week rolled around. Stinky stinky!
ReplyDeleteOh Diana, BrightEyes is in a cast! Poor sweet child, but now it's time to heal, and I hope everything turns out ok. Saying a prayer for her now. :~)
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Such a sweet picture of such a sweetie pie! I'm glad that everything is on the mend and that you got to be with them for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I'm catching up and didn't know that sweetie had hurt herself. Hope she mends quickly and 100%!
