Seeing Disney World through
the eyes of a child is a whole experience
unto itself.
They are enthralled by the magic
of it all
and I am smitten watching them.
So- I will give you the
short version of
DOING DISNEY.
My daughter and I
and the two girls
got there 2 days ahead of time.
I need to tell you that all my pictures are taken
with an iPhone 6 because my camera
was packed away
so~ bear with me.
My daughter worked her magic with
Travelocity and got us a deal at
The Swan.
The girls are in the lobby and out behind the hotel
Wonder what they are looking up at here?
Oh! They are just like their Nana.
They like light fixtures!
Isn't this one a beaut?
After everyone else arrived
we went to Epcot
and ate our way through the worlds.
My favorite was the
Fish & Chips towards the end of the day.
I will say that I am NOT a big seafood fan-
but I loved this!
Hot and greasy-what can I say?
The girls had fun visiting all the countries.
and really enjoyed
their breakfast with the princesses.
They enjoyed themselves even though
the day was a bit nippy.
Poor Lulu forgot her jeans in her bag.
I had a blanket along that came in handy.
Sweet Cheeks is getting to be a big girl.
This might have been
THE BOYS
favorite star stop.
Mighta been Miz Jasmine's costume?
My favorite ride in Epcot is SOARING.
You feel like you are moving
through space although
you are actually stationary once
you are raised a few feet off the ground.
At one point it seems like
you are going to hit the water.
Three years ago SweetCheeks told me-
Whatch Yoah Feet, Nana, so they doan't ghet wett.
Her legs were shorter so she wasn't worried about her own feet.
That is Miss Naomi-
or Nomes as the girls call her.
She has been babysitting the girls
or Nomes as the girls call her.
She has been babysitting the girls
since SweetCheeks was three or four.
She is 20 now and joined us at Disney.
She is a hair and makeup specialist
and will soon be working on the
Disney Cruise Line.
She is excited and we are excited for her.
She is as sweet as she is cute!
Everyone assumes she is an older sister.
That about rounds out Epcot.
The Mom says-
C'mon Yappy-
Time to go!
Ah---silence----
Back tomorrow with a bit more
DISNEY WORLD
and then I'm moving on so
I don't bore you to tears.
It looks like a fun trip for all of you. I love the pictures. It's been so long since I went - I don't even remember much!
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at the swan a year ago when I brought the family to one of my work conferences. I can picture everything you are describing. Such fun to enjoy these adventures with your grands.
ReplyDeleteI just love the photos of the kids...they are so big and they looked like that they had a great time there. Its nice to take them at that age, they will remember that trip when they are old and smile. Loved all the pretty backgrounds, too. Did you run into the beauty and the beast village when the guy talks to all the people and shows off his muscles? There are some hilarious youtubes of him getting into arguments with little girls on there. Glad you and the family got to do this trip...times like this are priceless...and glad you're not to old to keep up. LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad your all having a great time. They will talk about this trip the rest of their lives, how precious!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun for ALL ages! It's so nice that you all got to go. Beautiful photos...love the reflection of the castle! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteIt may have been chilly, but it is definitely warmer looking than anyplace I have visited lately. It looks like an idyllic family vacation!
ReplyDeleteI love Disney myself. So much fun, and it really is magical especially with children.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to take my grandgirl to Disney world! Creating special memories is awesome!

ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteOh yes to experience through the eyes of a child ... magical really. I enjoyed your photos, your Grands will have fun memories to share. I never got to Disney World with my kids, but I went a few years ago with a friend who lives down there. Epcot was closed so we missed that, but I can see how kids would love it, maybe some day with grandkids ;>)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like yiu all had a wonderful time in Disney! The girls are just adorable and I bet they loved it! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Oh, it looks like the girls had a fantastic time at Disney! And you'll never bore me with it. I have to hear about it all the time, as my own grown girls go every month haha. You know, that picture of Jasmine brought back memories. Many years ago, I took a picture next to Aladin. So, I think that was my favorite picture on here with Jasmine and Aladin.
ReplyDeleteOh, the imagination of a child, and who says it better than Disney. Loved the post today, Diana.
love, ~Sheri
What a fun trip! I haven't been there in years. I'm sure it has changed a lot. You are making wonderful memories with your grand kids.
ReplyDeleteDiana, Your Disney pictures made me think of our two trips of long ago to Disney World. The first time we stayed in the rooms adjoining where the monorail went through the contemporary and the second trip the Royal Plaza. Seeing the train go through the Monorail was really cool in a commercial. It has grown so much and seeing it through the kids eye made it even more special. The first night at the Royal Plaza we had a room on the 17th floor and could see Disney World out our window. Hubby would only spend one night there so we went from the 17th to the first. I thought about you all traveling with the weather like it was. We have a picture with goofy and our daughter. Loved you post and thanks for the memories. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley
ReplyDeleteBored with Disney? No way! I remember being THIRTY and crying because my mom told me and my niece it was time to go home (the park was closing for the night). I love to hear about your trip.
ReplyDeleteJan!
Because I was raised in SoCal, our family spent almost every weekend at Disneyland (when it was Much less expensive) I loved it! I've never been to Disneyworld though, maybe someday! It looks like you enjoyed a great time with your girls! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove Disney. Epcot is definitely one of our favorite places. Can't wait till the girls are big enough to go,

ReplyDeleteappears the girls are the perfect age for Disney World. Lucky you to have all that sunshine while the Midwest and northeast are under piles of snow.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great time!! I haven't been back to Disney World since I was 16 year old.
ReplyDelete~Cindy
So much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I have enjoyed seeing your trip to Disney World ( I scrolled down and viewed the previous posts, too) and your photos of 'The Girls' - aren't they just too cute for words? I love that photo of the feet hanging over the bridge, too. So glad to hear that you are feeling better. My daughter caught pneumonia right before Christmas and she is just now starting to feel normal again. It's a long road....I hope the sunshine and fresh air worked its magic and spending time with those sweet girls is a spirit lifter, for sure! So now it is back to the freezing cold once again.....Keep warm and don't overdo it. Hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! I haven't been to Disney in such a long time. I think my kids were 4 and 5 maybe? I really think since they are now 31 and 32, I'm due for another visit! Jim's never been and I know that the grandbabes would love it! Trust me, it's on my list of things to do! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your tour. I have not visited Disney, so this has been great fun for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd how cool for Naomi! Is she originally from Wisconsin? What a dream for her. That is so fun!
And your i phone 6 did a great job with the photos.
Epcot is my favorite of all the Disney parks. Would you believe that I went to Disneyworld on business twice??? Fun, but not as fun as the times with my son :)
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Nomes is adorable! I wish her much success ~ and I'm sure she will be wonderful. Love Epcot!
