Prayers Of A Different Kind Desperately Needed

It is with a heavy heart
that I am putting out this prayer request.

Usually, we want to pray for recovery
and a healing for the person that is ill.
I put out the first prayer request for
them here.

Today,
I am asking that you pray for
comfort and strength
for our friend, Ken,
and his family
as he prepares for his final journey home-
barring a miracle.
Ken has fought a long, hard battle
seeking health.
He so wants to be healthy for his wife and family
and to be able to serve God as a pastor.
But in spite of his earnest desire for
a full recovery,
his poor, Earthly body is just too tired.

He needs a second liver transplant
and he is not physically strong enough
to endure the surgery.

He has decided not to try
any more experimental surgeries or procedures.
He has opted to live in comfort,
as best he can, for now.
Ken is out of the hospital and
at his home in Illinois.

He knows that his
HEAVENLY BODY
will be a divine one-
free of imperfections and illnesses.
He has accepted that Heaven will be his healing.

Please pray for him and his precious family
in the upcoming days and moments.
They need to be wrapped with all the
warmth and love we can give them.

A mere Thank you is not enough-
but know that I
DO THANK YOU
and truly appreciate each
and every one of you
that take a moment out of your day
to say a prayer and/or leave a message.

If you would like to leave them a comment here
Lisa will pop in to read them when she can.

Hope you have a blessed day~

  8. Dear Lisa and Ken, I write this as I am in the middle of reading scripture this morning! I normally do not do this. But I think it was so I could know about praying for your comfort in this final step into the greatest and powerful love and wholeness! We are all just a step over to the promise land!
I just want to say that running the race set before you all is what He ask's of us! Rest and be excited for the best is yet to come. God wants us to die well! Not afraid, Not afraid, looking for His hand in receiving His own! Love and blessings to you all. I will be sending my prayers to the only King!
    Love, Roxy

  16. Heavenly Father, send your Holy Spirit to cover this man and His family. God we ask that above all Your will would be done. Send peace. Send comfort. Wrap Your arms of love around this family and lift them up. We praise you God, that in knowing You, we need not fear death. For to be absent from this body, is to be PRESENT WITH YOU. And even though our human hearts are heavy, our Spirits can rejoice knowing that one day You will wipe away all tears. Make Your presence known to this family today. In Jesus Holy name I pray. Amen.

  20. Praying for Ken and his family. It's such a blessing that he and his family are ready for eternity!

This world is temporal and eternity if forever. "We think that we are in the land of the living going to the land of the dying when in reality we are in the land of the dying headed for the land of the living." Eternity by Joseph M. Stowell

Ken is being called home by the God who created him. We will all leave this life, each in the way God chooses/allows and the most important thing is being ready to meet Him face to face...

    Blessings,
    Cindy

  46. I am so sorry. When we know where we are heading its sort of an adventure, but for those left behind its a heartbreaker. I pray for them all and for you their friend. There are never words that truly comfort those left behind, only time does that. My dear aunt lost her brother two days ago and it was a blessing for him, for her it was the end of something she has dreaded for so long, loosing her older much loved brother. Dont cry for those who are gone but for those left to weep. It's no comfort at first knowing we will meet again.........I am convinced that we will. In some ways I look forwards to that adventure and all that will become clear.........Trust in the Lord and what He has told us. I know you do and your strength will help those who may not feel as strong right now. Blessings to you all. Janice

  51. May these final moments be spent sharing and holding loved ones and filled with love. His choice is not an easy one, but a caring and brave one. I know God's love will be encircling you all in his arms. I know it will not be easy. Even when you think you are prepared, you are not. My husband was ill for 10 years and I always knew the day would come, but I still found it difficult. If not for my pastor and loving friends and family, I am not sure I could have handled it so well. There will be days of sadness because of the loss, but there will also be day of joy in the memories gathered and cherished. Those memories carry me. And know this, you do not always have to be strong.
