I was so busy yesterday with some
projects that I almost forgot to take
pictures for a post this morning.
But, never fear, I can always
come up with something.
So-here you have it-
SOMETHING!
Something Springy and lovely
in the front hall.
Sorry- I know it is a tad out of focus-
Kind of like my eyes in the morning.
The bottom has an Irish greeting
for St. Patrick's Day.
Overall, it looks like this.
~Erin Go Bragh~
I am adding this after someone
commented they had to look it up.
You know what THAT means
someone that is
NOT IRISH reads my blog!!
Whoo Hooo
Anyway-
Erin Go Bragh means
Ireland Forever

MyHero said he thinks it looks like a
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT
I told him THAT COULD BE arranged!.
And YOU know what I mean by that!
Diana, That is very pretty. Also funny the way you and your Hero banter back and forth. I have a feeling that man never tops you. LOL Hope you are getting some thawing today. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love it. I've seen my share of funeral arrangements (my parents own a funeral home) and I don't think it looks like one. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI know I have some Irish blood, but never even thought of St. Pat's Day but of wearing green. Didn't want any pinching! So I had to consult Wiki for the Erin Go Bragh. Beautiful display. Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteHaha, trust a guy to say something like that! I think it's pretty and a nice Spring touch!
ReplyDeleteMen have the weirdest sense of taste, that is a beautiful arrangement, looks nothing funerally, at all.
ReplyDeleteLovely arrangement, Diana! Yup! That would be something my husband would say. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the green! I am part Irish, part English and German! It is sunny and going to be warmer here today. We will be heading 80 miles to the city today so that I can look for window dressings/drapes. I will be wearing my sunglasses today, yea!!!!! Go green!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! LOL on his comment and yours! I bought a little sign with the same phrase and had to look it up. Now we know!
ReplyDeleteHooray we're warming up here (even if it's temporary)!!
LOL.... would he like it to be his? :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha! You would think that after all these years of marriage they would just learn to say, "It looks lovely, honey!" Well I think it looks lovely and I am definitely not Irish...at all. Not even a wee speck! ;) Happy March!!
ReplyDeleteLet's not be arranging any funerals any time, soon. Those are no fun... and we know that you were born to have fun. Anyway - the arrangement looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh no, he didn't?! LOL. It's springy, festive, and timely...in other words—perfect!
ReplyDeleteOnly a man would see a funeral arrangement instead of a gorgeous spring arrangement!...gotta love um! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteChuckling right now :) I think it's lovely and I am sure it will put a smile on any guests face. Hugs to you, Diana!
ReplyDeleteOh I had to laugh at your last comments!...Beautiful arrangement to welcome Spring!...Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteDon't apologize for fuzzy pics, not a bit. I love, love, love some fuzziness in pics. Especially of flowers. And I can't always 'capture' them, in that lovely gauzzzzzzzzy way.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, embrace any gauzzzzzzzzzy-effect photos, you take.
:-)))))
Since I am half Irish I love your flower arrangement.
ReplyDeleteHubby's comment is hysterical! Love the bright purple. And yes, I am one of those that's not Irish reading.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me. it's time to hang my big shamrock on our front door:) Hope the hubs survives this one!

ReplyDeleteI love your flowers....you know I love me some lavender and purple! Have a good day my friend! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteRIP! LOL!!!! Enjoy the flowers during the cold of winter! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful arrangement, Diana! At least your hero knows the flowers for "someone's" funeral will be pretty.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, lovely lady.
xo
Well, I'm Irish but don't know how much...my maternal great grandparents were from County Down, Ireland and my mom could make the BEST corn beef and cabbage!
ReplyDeleteYour husband is so funny!
Whether it looks like a funeral arrangement or not....it's a welcome sign of spring!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, You were my first big laugh of the day . . . thank you . . . I needed it :)
ReplyDeleteKeep Smiling.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
You always make me smile! I told my hubby that this morning! There must be something in the water! I think your arrangement is lovely and refreshing! I'm ready to welcome Spring too!
ReplyDeleteoh how I love purple, you always make me smile, you truly do,
ReplyDeleteLove your Springtime flowers Diana!... Happy weekend to you, xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeletePretty. Yes, bring on the flowers. It's warm here today - 50 - but snow still piled up. Have a good week-end.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers Diana...I like anything purple. When I go on Etsy, I favor all things purple, so I most certainly would favor your flowered picture. Your husband is funny, I like your come-back, brought a chuckle this morn. It's gonna be in the 30's this weekend...yay...spring is coming!!
ReplyDeleteGreat springtime arrangement, Diana! Ireland forever! I've a wee bit of Irish blood in me, too. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteYour last comment in the post was too funny!! I love the Irish greeting and those purple flowers are gorgeous!! It makes me think of all the flowers I would love to grow here, but it's just too hot. Oh well. :) Hope your weekend is a good one!
ReplyDeleteI thought it looked like those special candelabras at the end of each pew from my wedding-very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Irish translation, I never would have guessed.
Did you paint the sign yourself?
I dont know who makes me laugh more...you or hero.have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks beautiful - love the candles with the flowers.
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with you. You have lovely things in your home as well as trying to keep an active blog going. How do you do it all, my friend? I really love the flower arrangement and it automatically caught my eye, as Purple is my favorite color!
The 'Ireland Forever' sign adds a special touch. Have a nice weekend, dear.
Love,
~Sheri
Ha...so funny! Very pretty Diana, have a GREAT weekend...
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
He is so funny .. YOU and your hero make the perfect pair my friend. YOUR blog makes me smile. Thank you honey bee.. xoxox HUGS
ReplyDeleteSorry..but I think your hubby is wrong...I love your flowers and flag! How pretty!?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
Maybe it's the candles but I don't think I ever saw Lilacs at a funeral..
ReplyDeleteCareful, Hero, be very careful.
ReplyDeleteYou know he's right...it does look like a funeral basket. But those are the most beautiful arrangements, so maybe you should just take it as a compliment. I love it- looks like spring there.
ReplyDeleteyour hero...he's a funny one, that one!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm told I have some Irish in me, but obviously not enough, because I didn't know what that meant either! LOL! I can see why your husband thought it looked liked a funeral arrangement. It looks like it could be in a church because of the candles mixed with the flowers and it's a big arrangement. I think it's very pretty though!
DeleteLOL! Your Hero cracks me up! Hey, maybe your flower arrangement will cause the snow to melt and spring to come! Let's hope so! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny..... Flower arrangement looks good. I think your hero likes to tease you...
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Mary
Yikes! I thought the same thing..I thought it was something from an Irish Wake! Heh heh!
ReplyDeleteI TEASING YOU!! It's lovely.. We are Duffy's and I have an Erin and a granddaughter named Ireland. Of course both actually have the same name.
I thinks its lovely Diana! Anything with flowers and green this time of year works for me.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to hear about the new baby coming too, wow, another one to love!
Lets hope we are on our way to spring, I know the whole state of Wisconsin is in a funk and ready.
Oh and you still are the most popular blogger around!!
Hugs friend and fellow tough Wisconsin gal,
Cindy
Hey...ANY colorful flowers work for me. I think it's a beautiful arrangement...
ReplyDeleteLovely entry hall display Diana. Green and purple are always so pretty together. Ireland Forever!!

Your wee bit o' spring packs a lot of punch! Very pretty! And, as always, you had me laughing at the end!
ReplyDeletehaha. I didn't know what erin go bragh meant so thanks for clarifying it for me!
ReplyDeleteFunny girl! :) I don't mean to be ugly but I kinda think it looks like a funeral arrangement too. I have a "thing" about funeral flowers.
ReplyDeletexo
Pat
LOL oh my gosh - I wish I could be a leprechaun hiding in the petals of your arrangement and chuckling all day at the funnies you and "your hero" exchange! Funeral arrangement? Naw! It's a pretty and fresh and a much needed burst of spring!
ReplyDeleteAnd if my own "hero" were to make that comment, I'd say the usual, "Don't even bother picking a fight with me - you'll never win!" He knows that!
