We have developed a wonderful
friendship and business relationship
with this couple.
Ken is a Lutheran minister
and he is very sick.
Very.Sick.
He needs lots of prayers right now
his wife, Lisa, and his children also need prayers.
He has been struggling with
a debilitating illness
a debilitating illness
for several years.
Sometimes he is in the hospital for weeks at a time.
Right now he is in terrible pain
and they can't get it under control.
Ken may need another liver transplant
but that has not been decided as I am writing this.
He is funny, quick-witted and kind.
He's a good husband and a good father.
Please, please pray for all of them
Pray for the doctors to figure out
WHY he is so sick.
Pray for his children that they are comforted.
and, last but not least,
please pray for our good friend, Lisa.
Pray that she stays strong and that she
finds some serenity in the midst of the chaos.
Thank you!
I will keep you updated on his condition
when I can.
I am praying.

Diana, after reading your post and seeing how desperately Ken, Lisa and their children need prayer, I immediately stopped and prayed for this family. I will continue to pray for them as they struggle daily to cope with the effects of his illness and for Ken's doctors and care-givers, that they will be able to discover the cause of his illness and be able to do what is necessary to help him. I know, only too well, what such an illness can do to the entire family unit. They all suffer in so many ways. Please let them know we are lifting them up in prayer.
ReplyDeleteAs I began reading this post, my stomach began to churn. It's so reminiscent of my own life a few years back. Though my husband went through kidney disease and transplant, I know many who live the transplant life. So many things can happen and there are just no good answers. I, unfortunately lost my husband but I am praying and believing the KEN will be healed and stronger than ever. Praying for Lisa and their children as well!!!
ReplyDeletePrayers for your friend and his family...
ReplyDeleteI am praying for this lovely family. I pray that our Lord will give the doctors the knowledge to treat Ken and the Ken and Lisa will both stay strong as God works in their lives.
