Well, still no blogger features in the front
of the magazine but I have to say
Even the cover is beautiful.
Oh- I DO believe!
I believe that Spring is coming!
I also believe that beautiful bloggers
should be recognized.
Guess what?
One of my BLOGGING FRIENDS
is in the March issue.
If you don't know Kris @ Junk Chic Cottage
you need to head over there....NOW!
I'll wait!
I'll wait!
Okay! Did you go over there?
See what I mean?
AND-the best part is she is as sweet
as she is talented....a very good friend to me.
So-here is just a snippet of her
FOUR PAGE SPREAD about her office.
And this is part of her office, too.
She's got some shabby goodness there!
Romantic Homes also included
a link for my friend, Donna, that does
beautiful shabby glittery goodness
over at My Shabby Chateau.
They featured some of her frames.
She lives by Lake Michigan.
Now-let's move across some
BIG WATER to HOLLAND.
There is a huge spread this month called
House & Home connected to the blog
It is full of amazing, beautiful vignettes like this one
and this one of ballet slippers
The beautiful urn below belongs to
There is a fourteen page spread for her.
AMAZING!
This next house was transformed by
Enrica Stabile in the South of France.
(no link to a website was provided for Stabile)
You need to see the whole thing....
this is just a snippet.
And, because it is the March issue
there is a nod to
St Patrick's Day
written by Melinda Graham
(I hope this is the right Melinda Graham as there is no link to her given)
Oh-and what a fun recipe I found in this issue for
Grasshopper Cupcakes
by Janell Brown
from her book One Sweet Cupcake-
you can order here.
Don't those look delicious?
I think I will make these
GRASSHOPPER CUPCAKES
for MyHero.
I'll be busy collecting the ingredients today.
Oh- Look!
THIS will save me some work.
These are already
CHOCOLATE COVERED!
You can order them here
MyHero is in for a
WONDERFUL SURPRISE!
It's so fun to see our blog buddies in print!

Diana, I don't get Romantic Homes, but you have inspired me to check it out. Today I'll be going to Atlanta and will stop by a store and look for this magazine. Thanks for recomending it.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see these talented ladies featured! Everything was so beautiful until the end...the chocolate covered grasshoppers ... yuck!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a GREAT week...
Blessings,
Cindy
I love the old gate above her desk! and oooh, those darn cupcakes look sinfully good. I might give that a go too....
ReplyDeleteI too follow Junk Chic Cottage. These women are so creative!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Well, "ewww!" on the chocolate grasshoppers! It takes a bigger person than myself to bite in! But those magazine excerpts are all wonderful! I'm so glad blogging offers a platform for anyone's talent - not just what's been hand-picked by an editorial staff somewhere! You did a lovely job presenting them all! I'm going to check them out personally for a little spring inspiration - God knows we all need that here in the Midwest! Right, neighbor-across-the-lake?
ReplyDeleteI felt the same about this month's mag...soooo many beautiful images, but not blogger features :( Love the St. Pat's green cabinet! And I'll pass on the grasshoppers, even though I've been known to eat many items doused in chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing fellow bloggers being featured! I look forward to grabbing a copy for myself to be inspired!
ReplyDeleteThe "green" display is gorgeous...love, love, love! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are getting ready for March and St. Pat's day. No bugs for me. And you have some great friends. I think their work ifs gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I'll pass on the grasshoppers, with chocolate on them, so order your guy an extra bag of them.
ReplyDeleteOh my! What beauty! I love shabby goodness because so much shabby lives in my house. Just shabby, not goodness. You have a wicked sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful features this month. I too will pass on the grasshoppers! Ewwww.
ReplyDeleteChocolate covered grasshoppers? Such a surprise!:-) I bypassed buying this issue when I was out yesterday, though I was sorely tempted. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful images. I love looking at them in other people's homes. I think I'll let you keep the grasshoppers. :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, fine, I will buy this issue, Diana! : ) But mainly because Kris is in it and the cover does look very pretty. : )
ReplyDeleteOnly YOU could find a pkg of chocolate covered grasshoppers! LOL. I always enjoy seeing your Romantic Homes Magazine features. The March issue does look good. Congrats to Junk Chic Cottage for being featured in there too. I follow her blog and love her style.
ReplyDeleteDiana, I am getting that Magazine today. I love Kris' style. She is a sweet person. I used to catch grasshoppers in jars , as a kid, now I scream if one hops near me. gaaa. I did love the green collection representing St. Pat's Day. xoxoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI am in love with that cover. I know that slipcovered sofas are all the rage, but I still love a floral couch....especially that one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful features Diana! I am so happy to see Kris being featured she is a sweetheart and has a beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you,Diana, the March issue was a beauty. I love Kris's style, her office is gorgeous, and I was so excited to see her featured! Thanks so much for including my frames, you are sweet! I also loved the St. Paddy's day features. The chocolate covered grasshoppers? Not so much!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful issue and I still look for the bloggers pages to come back. One of my blogging buddies was featured on a page in this issue too, A Cottage Muse, only they didn't include her blog name. I'll go check out yours friends blog now.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink and green color scheme on the cover....looks more like the old Romantic Homes that I loved so much! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteI think the magazines has some lovely pics in it.
ReplyDeleteI love the looks of those cupcakes. Please tell me that you are not going feed your hubby chocolate covered grasshoppers. :-)
You made my day talking about the grasshoppers and secret ingredients. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much sweet friend for the shout out on my feature in Romantic Homes. It was on my bucket list to be in this magazine someday so thank you for highlighting all us bloggers that are in there this month. You are the sweetest and thank you. Ha ha about the grasshopper cupcakes for your Hero! I hear the ingredients you are going to use are full of protein and that is important in the diet! You are too funny. Thanks for making me LOL today.
Kris
Fun post Nana....I love romantic homes!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I would buy that magazine just based on the cover alone! And that ballet slipper vignette...wow! So pretty! My hubby would love those grasshopper cupcakes too. He loves chocolate and mint. In fact, I just bought several bags of dark chocolate and mint Nestle Toll House chocolate chips on clearance from Target for $1.34! Gotta love Target clearance items. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the March issue was better than the last couple of ones. Kris's article was great - she is terrific.
ReplyDeleteOnly you would be able to find chocolate cover grasshoppers lol - let me know what your hero thinks of this special treat LOL.
Mary
This issue is one of my favorites...I'm actually on page 8 (they just neglected to mention my blog)!!
ReplyDeleteI agree...the March issue is a good one! Did you see Sandi's article in the front? From Cottage Musings? Called Raising the Bar.
ReplyDeleteThe whole magazine is great!
How did your Hero like the cupcakes?
xo

ReplyDeleteOMG is there anyone that you don't know?? Your Hero is very lucky..Does he know that???
ReplyDeleteHi Diana! I love these reviews because I don't subscribe to this magazine. I think I may pick this one up at the grocery because of that grasshopper cupcake recipe. Looks delish! Not sure about spring coming...not any time soon around these parts!
ReplyDeleteYikes! Diana! You showed some GOOD stuff! I am never able to accomplish that look. SO sweet..all of it. :) I have always enjoyed this magazine. I am behind..haven't gotten my new one yet. Usually it arrives in the mail..hmmm..haven't seen it yet.
ReplyDeleteYour hero is definitely in for a surprise if you serve him grasshoppers. That is a nice honor for those being featured in the magazine.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for that one next time I'm at the book store. I am dying for an old white chippy urn just like that.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for Kris! She is so talented.
ReplyDeleteKris is on her way to good things - I just know it ( and I've told her she can't forget about me on her way up - she has to hire me lol )
ReplyDeleteHere home is gorgeous - every single detail - and she comes up with new ideas almost daily to make it more so - she's amazing !!!
XOXO
